This was the worst place that I could have chose to stay for my five months in Brazil. The rent was super expensive for an individual room that was falling to shambles. A almost whopping $400.00 dollars for a shower head that only let out boiling water and was excruciating to take a shower, three light fixtures that flickered throughout my entire five months, a mini refrigerator that leaked uncontrollably and wet my shoes, a television that was so old and had no cable shows, mold all over the walls that cost me three hospital visits and I ended up developing asthma, breakfast that I found live ants coming out of the chocolate cake and green moldy bread. The owner of the flat, Cassio was an extremely rude man and had no sympathy whatsoever. DON'T SIGN HIS CONTRACT, its not worth it, find another place, this was the worst service of my life and above all that I I left one month before the contract ended and he sent his daughter to bombard my fb stating that she had called the federal police and that I was going to jail and other two random girls that I had never talked to, to make my life miserable. He makes you pay completely in cash which is already sketchy enough and doesn't allow you to pay by day if you'd like to leave earlier. I only needed to stay three days in December and he wanted $400 dollars which in the end he got otherwise his minions wouldn't leave me alone. I could have had a much more pleasant stay in Brazil and a better impression of the country if it wasn't for them but now I recommend my friends to go to other countries instead. They do anything to rip you off, the daughter which supposedly was a lawyer was asking me to deposit money is her brother in laws account in a different country and harassed me that she was coming to my state to find me. These people are so desperate, unprofessional and simply money hungry. I HIGHLY recommend you not look into this flat because it was just terrible. I talked to other students in the flat to listen to their opinion and of all the ones I talked to they felt the same way. An American, Mexican, French, Brazilian and Colombian all had the same terrible impression of the flat. I recommend you actually go see the place for yourself before making a commitment and signing a paper you cannot change. Cassio would go get all of the people that know them to just put 5 stars on the review so that they don't look bad and not write anything. To years later and this has still been the worst place I have stayed at. Being threatened by their daughter on Fb and on all social media that they called the Federal police on me and that they would detain my passport. Having to go to the federal police office like an hour away just for them to tell me that these people lied and were just wanting to get money out of me. Beware of places that are too expensive and shady, I learned my lesson, only going to contracted places and not by random individuals advertising themselves. I paid for every day that I stayed at that flat and I am sorry but there are people that want to charge crazy prices. My next door neighbor paid in euros more than what the man charged in reais and made me pay in dollars more than the Brazilians. I would pay $400 if the service was worth it but just because I was a foreigner they charge you more and the quality of the place is terrible. If you don't believe me please go take a look for yourself. I am just warning others that are coming from other countries that there are people like this man that just scam others because we aren't Brazilian. Tenant needs to clean up on their own. 3. Clothes are only washed on Mondays (they do not wash other days, even if requested). Clothing takes 3 to 7 days to be returned. 4. I asked them to take my gate control for maintenance (as the battery swelled) and instead, they replaced the battery with an old one. When I questioned it, they exchanged my control for an old model and didn't give me back what I bought (even though it worked perfectly - a fact reported by the employee who was in possession of it). 5. I got the room without new paint and without being cleaned, (including shoe marks on the wall), but when I left they charged me fees for this. 6. When I asked the management regarding the regulations, I received the answer: "you go and look at the cafeteria door, your contract is too short for so many obstacles". Anyway, I don't recommend it to anyone. The service provided there can be found anywhere in the center at half the price. I dont know other place in world with same location, great service, friendly treatment and tasty food with this price. I loved! You feel a family atmosphere. Despite being distant from the family you feel at home! The service and food are very good! And it has spaces to share with other people and make good friends! I was there for almost 6 months (that was the length of my stay in Curitiba). Thank God I got straight to that place!! And I hope to return soon!

The best flat for students in Curitiba. I lived there for 2 years... super welcoming environment, ideal for those who are studying or attending college and are arriving in the city. Simple, complete room, cleaned every day. Washed clothes. Your concern is just one: studying. The owners are very kind and willing to help you. I made great friends there. The location and cleanliness are the big positive points.

I studied at PUCPR for my sophmore year of college, along with my best friend, and we were roommates at the flat for a semester abroad. I had such a great experience while I was at the flat, and made so many great life-long friends! I never experienced any issues during my stay, and felt that the owners maintained a great relationship with all of us staying at the flat. They served as our parents and their kids were like our family. They respected our independence, but still kept a watchful eye since the majority of us were all young and impressionable foreigners. I would definitely recommend the flat to any students looking for living accommodations while studying in Curitiba!

Great place to stay if you are starting your academic life, make new friends and get to know different cultures. It is right in the center, close to shopping malls and easy access to transport to colleges. It was my first and only place I chose to live, the people are welcoming, always concerned about your well-being. I'm grateful and happy to have lived there.
