Hakata Ramen

Restaurant Japanese restaurant Sushi restaurant

😠 I really expected HAKATA style RAMEN which is from Hakata, Japan. However, this restaurant is totally Chinese or Thai (but Japanese style) Ramen restaurant. Its Ramen is very far from Japanese style one (of course never Hakata style) Gyoza is like Thai-style gyoza. Miso soup has no taste and cooked... People often mention ramen, Japanese, Ramen, good, broth,

This wasn’t Hakata ramen, it’s Chinese raddish broth with ramen noodles. Instant ramen noodles would’ve tasted closer to what Hakata ramen should be. If you’ve had ramen anywhere else before I wouldn’t bother with trying the one here

We were greeted by a very nice staff and we received some water to cool off. The table was okay and all clean but I think the ambiente could be improved with better lighting in the restaurant. I then ordered Yasai Ramen (Yasai = やさい = vegetable), which surprised me because there was Narutomaki on top (Japanese fish cake...). I would appreciate it if fish could be considered what it actually is, a piece of a dead animal and not a vegetable... Please mention this kind of ingredients in the menu. Thank you.

Recommended! Really great place, been there two times just to try Ramen and other Japanese food. Enjoyed it a lot. Don't think you can get better price-quality ratio. Only thing I found bad was a bit too little space. However otherwise it might cause queues just to get inside, because it usually gets full of people wanting to try Ramen!

I marked this place as my favorite ramen in Paris! Been trying several ramen restaurant in France but this one simply matched my taste bud :) Be sure to personalize your taste (lower fat or salty level as you preferred) By the way, I had Reman au miso. It’s super good! Very recommended! Service is also superb here.

Affordable and delicious ramen! If you like more toppings you can add them to your own liking. We were served pretty quickly and staff are friendly. Nice cozy place to eat Japanese Ramen, the staff there seems to be Japanese also!

The food is good quality, the price range js reasonable (12.5 pour l'entree+ plat / plat+desseet). The place is pretty small but gets packed during the day, so you'd better go around the right time. I visited on Saturday 12.30pm and it wasn't full yet.

Wanted some nice ramen. Ordered the Chansu ramen but was lacking in flavour, especially the broth. No love, no umami. The base ingredients were also very simple. Wife had the seafood ramen with the miso broth and this one was very underwhelming. The shrimp and langoustine were bland, almost as if just boiled in water and added to the ramen when it was served. Shame as the place has ramen in the title. There are other really good ramen places that get close to authentic, notably Takumi Ramen in Valmy. The gyoza I had for starters were nice though. Perhaps the sushi, which we didn’t have would’ve been better. Who knows. Price wise it’s good which is why this review gets pushed to 3 stars. But if not, max 2.5stars.

Tonkotsu ramen was only ok since the broth was not as thick as the real one. Gyoza was good though with authentic soya sauce with vinegar (well-done). Communication with waitresses was the tough part in this restaurant, with their strong accent in French. As such, it is totally fine for me, while myself being Francophone as a second foreign language. However, one of the waitresses tried ro rectify me to pronounce Ramen with French "R" lol, which was a little too much of a first generation migrant's sentiment of show-off, that I did not expect to see in a safe Japanese ramen shop (myself being Japanese) ...lol Therefore, anyone without French R, please be prepared to face with this initiation (in addition to its diluted tonkotsu broth)...

Worst Ramen ever had. Nothing to had, just don't waste time and money!

I definitely advise against ordering the curry. The sauce has little to no taste, I struggled to find any flavor despite it being a dish famous for its strong flavor. The texture of the sauce was too fluid and has none of the thickness of real Japanese curry sauce. The texture of the panko is too mushy. Very bad curry, try their other dishes but stay away from the curry.

Had a small Japanese salad and the seafood ramen. The salad was a really good size for the price, with a good amount of salmon included. However the way it was presented made it very difficult to eat without spillage (it was a small bowl with a heaped serving, and the only utensils available on the table were chopsticks...). The ramen was, in a word, bad. I asked to substitute with a miso broth instead of the pork broth, but what they gave me was just tasteless. There was no umami. My partner had a pork ramen (with pork broth), and it was still too mild in taste to recommend. All in all, I'd say it's good serving sizes for the price, but look elsewhere if you actually want good ramen.
