this misque is located in Khudabad, Dadu, Sindh province and was constructed during the reign of Yar Muhammed Kalhoro between the time period of 1700 and 1718. The Khudabad mosque served as a school as well as for military training. It is situated in Khudabad Village almost 10 kilometers south of Dadu. The Mosque is categorized into 2 parts one 80 ft by 21 ft and the other 80 ft by 25 ft with a height of 34 ft. An open yard in front is enclosed by walls 100 ft by 80 ft. The Khudabad Mosque is situated right beside the road – a huge square building, with a high-walled courtyard in front that holds 1,600 people for prayers. It is famous for the 2 beautiful panels of glazed tiles on either side of the entrance to the prayer hall. Each panel is adorned with a white floral design on a dark blue background. A staircase leads to the roof, but you’ve to climb on the parapet for a glimpse of the mounds that were once a city and the traces of the outer wall than once defended it. The Superintendent of the Archaeological Western Survey (Mr. Cousens) visited the Khudabad mosque in the year of 1896 and announced the building worthy of conservation. Although, all over the Mosque is as high as it could be conveniently reached, the tile work has been unfortunately ruined by tourists and visitors trying to dig out separate tiles from the walls. It is nearly impossible to eradicate these without breakage as they had been thoroughly cemented together.

Khudabad is old ruined fortified city between Sehwan and Dadu about seven miles south of the latter place. It was for some time the capital of Kalhoras befor they finally settled down at Hyderabad. In the midst of ruins of the old town stands the great Jamia Masjid. The Jamia Mosque, known as Masjid Khudabad, District Dadu, Sindh was built during the reign of Mian Yar Muhammad Kalhoro between 1700 And 1718. The mosque served as a school of learning and as well as for military training also. It is landmark of Sindhian Architecture. Once, khudabad was the capital of Kalhora rulers. The city was established by Khuda Yar Khan Kaihoro. Kalhora were the religious minded and they succeeded to construct beautiful buildings, mosques and shrines. Khudabad Mosque is a very big mosque of that period. About 5000 peoples could perform prayer at a time. The mosque has occupied 36 Ghunta of Land. The various color painting work and Kashi style bricks are used in front and interior side of the mosque to make it beautiful and attractive. During the period of Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhora, the capital was changed and made at the present city of Hyderabad. After changing the capital, the mosque shows the symbol of Islamic tradition to every passerby as they admire and recognize the Abbasi Kalhoras rule, being Great Muslim clan. It was the period, when Abbasi ruling Ameers get divide into two halves; one the Kalhoras (rulers - held for Hakumat/Government) and the other Daudpotas (rulers - held for khilafat/Caliphate, the religious preaching tradition).

Khuda Abad Jamai Masjid is the one of old moques in Sindh, which was built by Kalhora rulers. It is mentioned in the history that Kalhora rulers were gathered in the mosque and they not only offer their prayers but they were arranging meetings same like parliament and they settle disputes, making laws and strategy of battles.

(Translated by Google) Jamia Masjid Khudaabad, Dadu District, Sindh. Khudaabad: The city of Khudaabad was the capital of the Kalhora rulers from 1719 to 1768 AD. The Kalhoras ruled Sindh from 1701 to 1783 for about 82 years. During this time 12 rulers of the Kalhora dynasty ruled in different periods. During the Mughal period, the Mughal Governor of Multan, Prince Muizuddin, invaded the main village of Kalhora, Garhi, in the present Khairpur Nathan Shah Tehsil, in 1700 to subdue the Kalhora rulers. A bloody battle took place at Khor on the banks of the Gaj River, in which generals on both sides were killed. Mian Din Muhammad Kalhoro was arrested and killed along with 28 other workers in Multan, while his younger brother Mian Yar Muhammad Kalhoro took refuge with the Khan of Kalat. In 1701, Mian Yar Muhammad Kalhoro returned to Sindh and settled in the village of Gaha (Tehsil Johi), activating the Mianwal movement and increasing his influence in the areas of Samatani, Markhapur and Fatehpur. Mian Yar Muhammad also persuaded the Mughal emperors with his strategy. The Mughal government gave him the title of 'Khudaiyar' and handed over the government of Sindh to him. Mian Yar Mohammad Kalhoro took possession of the Panhwar settlement and settled a new city called "Khudaabad" and made it the first capital of his government. In this city, Mian Yar Mohammad laid the foundation of the Jama Masjid, the construction of which was completed by his son Mian Noor Mohammad Kalhoro. Khudaabad Mosque: The Jamia Masjid Khudaabad is located on the Indus Highway in Khudaabad, Dadu District. The three-century-old Khudaabad Mosque is a masterpiece of architecture. The mosque was built in such a way that it was also used as a fort in war. The secret passages in the walls are a testament to the skill of the craftsmen who built the Khudaabad Mosque. These secret passages provided military assistance during the war. The mosque is built on a wide platform which is 8 feet above the ground. The platform is 92 feet long and 85 feet wide. The mosque consists of three sections in total. The first part is the main hall with a three-domed roof. The walls of the mosque are approximately 7 feet thick, which is a sign of the strength of this building. The size of the central dome is larger than the two equal domes. The other side of the mosque is its porch. It is 25 feet long and 83 feet wide. There are three doors in this section on which the garland of lotus flowers can be seen. On the outer wall of the porch are 3 types of tile bricks, including white, blue and green 8 by 8 inch square shaped bricks, which add to the splendor of the mosque. In addition to this, small bricks have been mixed together and pasted on the wall and the best painting has been done. The third part of the mosque is a large and spacious courtyard, on which approximately 1,500 people can easily pray at a time. The courtyard is 90 feet long and 90 feet wide. The main entrance of the mosque is made of wood and is very spacious which is 8 feet high. It has 10 steps. The mosque was renovated a few years ago. The "Mihrab Mosque" built in the town of "Halani" in Nowshera Feroz District is modeled on the Khudaabad Mosque, which Mir Mehrab Khan (after whom "Mehrabpur" is inhabited) designed the map of this mosque. I was placed and built. It can also be called a replica of the Khudaabad Mosque. Tourists traveling to Sindh on the Indus Highway must visit this mosque. Explore Sindh Bike Rally, World Tourism Day in September 2019 from Gorakh Hill to Sehwan Sharif, Rani Kot Qila and Jamshoro. We stayed here for about an hour. After reflecting on the mosque and offering prayers, the Kalhora family left for the royal cemetery in Khudaabad. Dr. Syed Muzammil Hussain Wasib Explorer Cross Route Club, Multan. The Jamia Khudabad Mosque ( جامہ مسجد خداباد‬‎), known as Jamia Masjid Khudabad or Badshahi Masjid, is situated in Khudabad, Dadu, Sindh and was built during the reign of Yar Mouhammed Kalhoro between 1700 and 1718. The mosque served as a school as well as for military training. Sindh was agricultural region with forests during the Indus Valley Civilization. The Vedic period is characterized by Indo-Aryan culture that invaded from Central Asia and settled in Sindh. Starting with Muhammad bin Qasim and Habbari dynasty, later Delhi Sultanate and Mughal Empire ruled the region. The Sindh became predominantly Muslim due to missionary Sufi saints whose dargahs dot the landscape of Sindh. Around 1710 AD Yar Muhammad Kalhoroalong with his followers, won over Khudabad from the Panhwar. Between 1718 and 1719, Mian Yar Muhammad died and he was buried there. After his death when Mian Noor Mohammad Kalhoro became the ruler of Sindh (1719–1755) he chose Khudabad (City of God). He started developing the place rapidly as a well planned city, which led to many Amils and Bhaibands migrating there for employment and trade. He also built a beautiful Jamia Musjid. Khudabad was capital of Sindh between 1719 and 1768 when replaced with Hyderabad. "17th century Kalhoro tombs disappear brick by brick ", The mosque is unique instance of Kalhora architecture influenced by Mughal art of architecture. The fresco paintings done on inner walls of mosque are best example of Mughal and Islamic schools of art of fresco paintings. In fresco paintings, the inlay designs, stalactite designs, e-mulet designs, floral scroll designs, foliated designs, arabesque designs and calligraphy adorn the inner walls of the mosque. There is a wonderful historical heritage like Shah Jahan's mosque of Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan. It is the heritage of sindh and Pakistan
