Great location, excellent service. Rooms could use an update. Breakfast was very generous also. Overall, happy with the stay.

That's how it looks “Room with sauna” for €177 per night. I wouldn't rate this hotel more than 2 stars. The place is freezing (and it's only November). Room/bathroom dirty and stinks like shi..... I wouldn't come back and definitely wouldn't recommend it!

Really good stay. Ideal location for getting around the city and it's right near the castle and the river. Beautiful decor inside. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are warm with a portable heater indoors if you feel like having an extra boost. Breakfast is good with a variety of options from cereal to eggs, salad, as well as crepe pancakes and more. It would be nice if they had more vegan options but it wasn't a problem to ask for the kitchen to make something like oat porridge etc. for us and to get soya milk (for cereal or just for coffee) which was great. (I'd advise you to make your dietary requirements clear at reception upon arribal). Hotel was very quiet. Staff were all friendly. Lolita in particular, made our breakfast time perfect, ensuring the kitchen prepped suitable food for us and we were taken care of. The bar is also great - Dalius is a very experienced bartender. The restaurant and the tartar bar both looked amazing but sadly didn't get a chance to experience this time. Overall, would recommend staying here as location is great and value for money is excellent.

The night I stayed at this hotel was amused by the spiders and spider webs in the room, that's the first thing. The second thing is that my room was cold and the AC was not working and the heater in the wall was only for decoration because it was also not working. There is a small electric heater in the room and it is not enough. I called the receptionist and asked her to turn on the heating. She asked me in astonishment: Do you really feel the cold when the temperature outside is 0 degrees. She told me she will going to turn the heat on and it never happened. I called them 2 times, and I spoke to them again during the day. Nothing has changed. so do not expect them to turn on the heating in the winter. and it is normal for them that you feel cold in your room when you want to rest

Comfortable, clean, superb location, breakfast a tad hit or miss but you'll find more than enough to fill you for the day.

5 stars and an extra plus for the room being so clean. Couldnt find a single dust grain!

Very centrally located by the square in the old town. Clean rooms and helpful staff 24 hours. Nice restaurant.

Nice place to stay Close to city centre

Loved this hotel. Really good value for money. Low key. Very clean. MASSIVE family room with large windows. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast not amazing but fine. Building is very attractive - an old Kaunas house with large windows and a new build connected by a large open foyer with glass roof. We stayed in the old part which was perfect. Didn’t see the rooms in the new building but they are purpose built so presumabley are fairly standard. What’s nice is the doors lead off balconies overlooking the void above the reception/bar area. The location of this this hotel simply could not be better. Right off the main square in the old part of town and one street away from the river. It was totally and utterly quiet day and night. We checked out some other hotels we had considered but none came close in terms of location or style. Highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel, excellent location in the city center (old town), very quiet place. Rooms are OK, have all needed furniture, but a bit tight as space, could be more spacious. Air-ventilation is a bit loud (especially at night) and you can't control room temp (you must ask at the reception). No active air-ventilation in bathroom, which is not nice. Clean and fresh smelling everywhere. Interesting architecture - two buildings connected and space in-between serves as lobby. Service personnel is nice and friendly. Food in the restaurant is tasty and well served, but still restaurant is in the basement with no windows, which I don't like. Breakfast has limited variety of foods, still enough to eat well. Could be better organised with more food choices.

Cozy environment, nice music. Three course dinner was just perfect. Every meal was excelent with top quality ingredients and great taste. The waiter was very professional and friendly, he described every meal after serving it.

In my opinion, this one of the best hotel to stay in old Kaunas town! (return guest) Breakfast again, was perfect, lots of choice. Hotel staff, again helpful and professional. Room number 204 was spotlessly clean and light. Hotel bed and pillows most comfortable I had in long time. Bathroom underfloor heating was most welcoming. River - Nemunas view, through room window, added extra sharm. Most definitely will be back and strongly recommend. (now days, paying a little extra, takes your to another level)

The little cocktail bar that couldn’t When you go for a cocktail bar on their roof bar you can expect that the menu wil offer cocktails. You can imagine our surprise when they just offer wines, beers and strong liquors. When you ask about cocktails, they say they can mix up some G&T, Aperol and Cuba Libre. So you go adventurous and order an Aperol for €9 (!!) and you get water mixed with a drop of Aperol. This is not the type of service you can expect of a rooftop bar. The lady serving was nice but the served drinks are far far far below any standard. Go and take your money to a bar on the square nearby and get your money’s worth.

Hotel is nice. Restaurant overpriced for the value you are getting. 5 eur for a beer and the choice is not existing.

The place and venue are great with views over the Old Town. We were a group of people with small kids and had booked the terrace restaurant in advance. The service was pleasant, but so slow that they only took our order after an hour, and served our food after another 1.5 hr. The food was ok, their sous vide duck is always good. Would't order the beef antrecote again though.

I have just returned from a stay at hotel daugirdas kaunas .I stayed from March 17th to 20th. It is a nice hotel 50m from old town square. I had read this in a review before I went so I thought I would be in the centre of the town but it was about a 15 minute walk to the centre. lots of churches around the hotel. at one side of the hotel there is a river with lovely walk. I also walked to the akropolis shopping centre which was very large.I didn't have any meals in the hotel itself other than breakfast. breakfast was okay but maybe it was typical Lithuanian I have felt in other countries that you would have a greater selection for breakfast.but having said that it was ample .it was one of the quietest hotels i have ever stayed in I had gone for rest and re laxation and at night you would not hear a sound it was brilliant. there wasn't really anything much to do in the hotel itself. I would like to thank the staff for their help during my stay they answered any questions i had and gave me any help that I required. I was a solo traveller and the hotel organised an airport pickup for me from kaunas airport for 25 euro. thanks again to all at hotel daugirdas

Lovely roof terrace! Delicious food and great views!

After reading other reviews had higher hopes for this place. But after visiting I am not very happy about it. At first there were some problems where we would say "we want this dish" and we got answer we don't have that, than we said this and they said we don't have that too. Later other waiter came and said, that they are changing menu, so not all dishes are available (not too big number of dishes in menu avalable, after removing 2-3 dishes not much left). We were 8 people and most of the ordered dishes were good, exept steak, which was very hard and chewy (restaurant staff agreed to change it to different beef dish). Service were good, place itself was cosy too. Summarizing everything I can say that place is OK, but not very remarkable, probably won't be comming here again.

Worst experience ever, we was group of friends, bar was closing at 22:00 ( saturday ), no possibility for late check out, when i asked if there are rooms for one more night ( booking.com was showing that there are available rooms) receptionist couldnt answer.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. There are many different restaurants within minutes. rich breakfast

The place was freezing. Bathroom and toilet was dirty and in need of modernisation. Bathroom including jacuzzi and sauna was so smelly. The smell was so bad that you could smell it in all apartment. It smelled like old blocked drainage…. no exaggeration. In room was only old kettle and one pack of cheap 3 in 1 coffee and couple teabags. Breakfast was appalling. Coffee machine in breakfast area was showing message that it needs to be cleaned. I never leave bad reviews but this time couldn’t keep quite. Me and my husband was shocked. We paid for room €177 for one night. I wouldn’t rate this hotel more then two stars. When my husband approached receptionist with complaints we haven’t received even proper apology.
