It was a very bad experience, we have booked a romantic dinner and it was a dinner with all guests playing around the pool that disturb the whole environment, and while dining, the staff were cleaning around us as well. Although, we booked a chalet with high price considering that we aimed a good quality of service, the valet parking requested 6$ for keeping the car in the parking lot and it was not appropriate so we went to utopia and they provided a free parking!!!! Regarding the decoration, it was promised endless candles, lanterns and flowers, flowers, and petals when arrived to the romantic Dinner, there was no flower, no petals and a few candles only!!! Regarding the dinner, it was supposed to choose between different choices of salad and main courses, but they served us steak and salad without asking, moreover they promised a chicken appetizer and Icecream and they were not served!!! I don't recommend a romantic dinner since it will very frustrating experience 😒

As a hospitality consultant and a graduate from the best university in Switzerland, I must say that my experience at Janna Sur Mer beach resort in Damour, was nothing short of a nightmare. This place blatantly treats its customers as mere walking dollars, showing no respect or hospitality whatsoever. The experience turned into a truly scarring ordeal, especially given that I was accompanied by my fiancé, sister, and mother. Instead of being a joyful time spent with loved ones, it became a distressing memory. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that they cared more about squeezing money out of us than providing a pleasant experience. The overcharging on entrance fees and the inflated prices on the food and drinks menu were outrageous. The resort's staff, particularly the security guards, exhibited aggressive behavior, making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. They were pushy and confrontational, which is completely unacceptable in any hospitality setting. All of this happened because we were asked to pay the food bill before we even ate any of it, claiming that their cashiers leave now and we have to settle the bill then and there. Unfortunately we paid 140$ bill for the food and got pushed away without eating what we paid for. NONE OF IT. It's incredibly disheartening to see such aggression and lack of professionalism. Seeking assistance, we attempted to report the issues to the management or owners via phone call, but they showed zero interest in listening to our concerns. In fact, they hung up while we were trying to explain the problems we encountered during our visit. For a place that claims to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience, Janna Sur Mer beach resort fell far short of expectations. Their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, disrespectful treatment, and unprofessional behavior make it a place to avoid at all costs. As a hospitality professional, I am appalled by their lack of ethics and basic customer service standards. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a different destination for your leisure time.

This place is pretty bad. My brother cut his toe in the pool due to broken tiles accumulated at the bottom. The service overall was horrible. The restaurant staff were all very rude and were not attentive at all. There was a hair in our breakfast food. The bathroom in our room was dirty, so was our room. The runner on the bed was black and you could see specs of stuff in it and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been washed ever. The outdoor patio had white leather cushions for couches, and they were stained with dirt and what looked like juice. They clearly hadn’t been washed before our visit. For the price we paid ($250usd/night), I’d expect a higher standard of cleanliness and service. Instead, I was very unimpressed with the service and the cleanliness was below subpar. We were also promised a bar in the pool, and it seems it hadn’t opened yet for the season. We also were not told that there would be a party with music blasting well into 1am, that started around 11. We couldn’t sleep from the noise - wouldn’t be a problem if we were told what to expect. Vert poor service when we were checked in to our room - we weren’t given the wifi password or a run down of what was on the resort. In addition, the only reason we booked this place was for the sandy beach shown in the pics. SUPER MISLEADING. The sandy beach shown was only for the lounge chairs, but the land touching the ocean is right under that strip and is all rocks. There’s a small strip of sandy beach a little walk away on what looks like the land of another resort. This sandy beach was maybe 20 meters wide and the shore was full of garbage. Bad experience overall. We left almost as soon as we got up. Not worth the money or trip

I don't know where to start to be honest. We got the vip tickets so that we could have the best experience and still was the worst. I think they dont clean the pools they only add chlorine to it because the pool was unclear and disgusting with the smell of chlorine so strong. All the tiles were broken i had minor injuries on both knees when getting out of the pool. We decided to go to the beach but it's not sandy, it was with stones only and we didn't have the right footwear for that so our only option was the filthy pool. The restaurant was horrible. They give samples as appetizers and they got the order wrong. The taste was not good. The music was so bad and the sound system wasn't right, we heard everything twice or mixed up so we couldn't understand anything. Overall, the place is not what they describe it. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Overall, pretty good! Location is five stars, low maintained, food is okay salad was fresh, Lebanese style burgers were juicy and good portion of food, alcohol is kinda expensive, staff were friendly. Rooms looked clean but barely maintained, had a walk around but didn’t end up staying.

Very bad service, it took us an hour to receive a bottle of water. We had a birthday planned so we brought a cake to the bar, after celebrating the cake was taken to be refrigerated in the kitchen and disappeared completely.

Very unfriendly and rude staff at the entrance . They clearly have no idea how to respect someone’s privacy - they open your beach bag and take everything out to ensure you don’t have any food or water with you - mind you there is a way to even do that elegantly by requesting to check your bag or just asking if you have any food or drink in there. I wasn’t aware and I had water bottle she told me not allowed to bring in saying “it’s a problem , of course a problem !“ then after I disposed of the bottle and was about to go in, she asked again for the second time to check my bag ! That’s when I realised if the entry experience is like this , I can only imagine inside and decided not to enter the resort. What a shame really to put employees like this as a first point of contact with customers upon arrival that made me and 4 others not to even think of spending time in the resort.

(I will be getting more photos of the resort.) It’s a nice resort/pool to spend the day. But nothing spectacular. Yes, the views and certain spots in the resort look fantastic, but they are also hiding many things worth fixing. The music they play is often terrible with no beach vibes at all. The service is mediocre at best, and the quality of the drinks is subpar. The pool water stings the eyes in an acceptable intensity. Someone needs to watch out for the levels of chlorine (and certainly urine) in the pool. The drinks are all served in plastic, which is a huge let down. Even the “fancy” looking cups are actually cheap plastic. I wanted to give this place one more star, but it’s really disappointing compared to the prices paid (370,000 LL for a VIP ticket, and there is nothing VIP about the experience; you only get to sit in an area designated as VIP.) That’s it. As silly as it sounds, that’s really all there is to it. It’s a shame because this place has the potential to be one of the best resorts if (and only if) more attention is given to the quality of the experience they offer the customers. The prices are already higher than they should be with what the place has to offer at the moment.

The waiters were really rude. They only came to tourists and foreigners and ignored citizens. A waiter also refused to take a tip because it wasn’t that much, and accepted a 50.000 lbp tip from another person which was very disrespectful. Overall, really bad customer service!

The 5 star rating is for the feeling you get once you enter the resort and walk inside it. They have literally created heaven (Janna) on the beach. The greenery, the colors, the nice pool, beach house, flowers and colorful decoration. Amazing views from everywhere. As for the rest, the service is great, the food is average and the beach is tough since it is rocky. If you're looking to have some drinks sit close to the pool bar, some relaxing times right next to the beach or some family time in the family section. It is all there!

It was the most disappointing experience. The pools are so dirty, the toilets a nightmare! Hospitality zero, and the food was so average comparing to the prices. I don’t recommend it to anyone, specially not for the families and kids

Disappointment is the least I can say about this place... We checked in an hour earlier, the staff at the reception were not very helpful we went in to be surprised by how crowded the place is, and unorganized (no one took the time to actually show us the place we were wandering trying to find out where we were staying). Our room was filthy, there were hair on the bed sheets (not ours) and there is a disgusting smell that comes out outside at night. To be honest the place is nice, the views and the pool it might have a potential IF the staff were more professional and IF they pay attention to want needs to be fixed. The water in the pool was a disaster, i opened my eyes under water and was not able to open them for 10 minutes after that(they still hurt now after 12 hours, not sure whats in the water...) Breakfast was waaay below average and not generous at all... We went there for my husband's birthday but turned out to be a BIG disappointment. Nothing was expected given the money we payed.. Personally I would not visit "not so" Janna again. Hygiene 0 Value for money -10

At a time when women and feminists are fighting for equality, men in places like Janna resort are still severely disadvantaged and condemned. I live abroad so it is not possible for me to go there with my family or any girls. I asked them on Instagram if it was okay to come with my cousin (whom I'm vacationing with). However, we were not granted access because these rules have been in the resort for 15 years. Within 15 years you should take a look at your rules and adapt them to the times. I would be happy if this were to happen so next time visiting this resort will be less stressful and I don't feel like I'm a worse person in the world for being a man. Until that is clarified, my review remains.

Hygiene and cleanliness levels are very poor, food is absolutely horrible (breakfast was very poor - big issue with their chef and kitchen staff as minimum knowledge of how to cook and serve is lacking), rooms maintenance is nonexistent as the toilet flush panel fell down and the sink's handle came out when using. Staff is not very helpful and knowledgeable, actually some of them were rude at times. However, i must say that we booked for 2 nights and wanted to change to 1 night, so the manager was very helpful and accommodating and acknowledged our need and experience. Quality of guests is not as it used to be. Overall, the only positive are the bungalow and the view of the sea/beach. Won't go back again for sure.

Very clean, Fast food service.. Kind waiters and suitable for families and coupes! Very Recommended! And the menu is good prices, not over priced!

Great resort, a little more posh than other water places close by. They separate families from non-kids areas, which is ok. The restaurant is good and the pools are nice. It's just a pity that it's sea water (or a mix, but definitely salty) and you often find detritus at the bottom of the biggest pools. But apart from that we recommend!

They have 2 pools, one for families and one for 18plus. The family pool is very suitable for kids. And they have a beach access as well. The music in the restaurant is too loud, you can't hear each others.

We went with my friends to enjoy the pool and the ambiance it was great with the bar and dj in the water. High quality

The pools are huge and nice but they aren’t well maintained specially the ones that are closer to the beach and the beach itself isn’t great because there is no sand for you to walk on it’s all pebbles that are very annoying to walk on which makes you want to avoid the beach.

The Place is very old needs lots of maintenance starting from the entrance I was shocked with the garbage bag around the parking ,reception with very old desk and old couch , sunbeds super old ,bungalos we booked wasn't clean and old , food not taste , I was waiting too long to come and visit it Janna sur mer but I really regret it I don't recommend it to anyone. This place should be so clean and luxurious as it shows in the pictures because it is a tourist attraction!!

The location is amazing unfortunately the personnel are not and the food not so good, sea without sand, most of the times^ u can't swim there. Not bad just annoying and I only spent 3hours If u r an afternoon person don't go (they close at 5 not 6, they closed the pool at 5:15), if u appreciate good food and nice people around not for you

The place in itself is beautiful and the staff polite and friendly. However, the music is too loud and mostly arabic and the overall ambiance involves smoking shisha and showing off your perfect body, which is not my cup of tea.

I don't generally write a review but I decided to share my experience. I stayed 2 nights and decided to swim in the swimming pool after it was shut for the public and while the hotel staffs were around. I left my slipper to swim and returned only to find out that it disappeared. The staff denied taking it though no one else were around. I don't recommend it this place.

Pool is amazing. Bungalows are not clean and misaing major things ( no towels, cups, water, spoons, knifes). Anything you ask for, you pay for it. Seems Staff are stealing the owner 🤔 Beach dirty with empty bottles and glass. Place not for family. Pictures different from real. They switch off light at noon.

Definitely one of the best resorts in town , highly recommended , stuff are very very nice and friendly . The rooms are exotic decorated ,very clean and well prepared . I enjoyed all amenities in the resorts , they have one off the largest swimming pool in town What i have enjoyed the most , is the romantic dinner , well decorated and preparet

A fine beach resort near Saida

Its the best beach resort i have been to in Lebanon. Especially for kids! Its clean its calm and the staff are great ! Always go there and i always will 🥳

I highly recommend it.. it’s very beautiful, u can take alot of great photos here… the pools are huge… very clean.. the staff are nice… the food is ok and the service is fast… just one thing I didn’t understand was the vip, we thought we could have something more special and that’s why we paid more but it was just very normal place where we sat near everyone… so u can choose the non vip, doesn’t actually differ much… also it’s good that they separate the kids areA and families from the adult area…. Had a good season here) highly recommended

Very bad experience, The people who rent the jet ski have very bad service me and my friend rented 2 jetskis 30 minutes each for 60$ we started 13:02 and came back 13:28 he took 4 minutes and told us we drove 35 mins and made us pay an extra 20$ by force. We have evidence that we started at that time, but he refused and said no I don’t believe you and started swearing and shouting and following me to give him his money. We told the management and they told us that they will talk to them but It seemed like they didn’t care at all

Very bad hospitality….management & staff doesn’t know about to act toward clients…the only good things are the waiters knowing that they pay salaries around 120$$$$$/month only!!! The place used to be JANNA in all aspects but sounds the management only looking for foreigners and arabs clients…NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL
