Lantana is a good hotel with good customer service and staff but the location just a let down. The hotel is sorrounded by delelict buildings and a low class drinking place just at the gate. The road to the hotel is very bumpy though its a short distance from the tarmac. Breakfast was good, hotel is clean and when inside your are protected from the external chaos.

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. All the windows have strong bars which gives security to the guests in that unsafe part of the city. Never leave the hotel. The girl on the fourth floor tries to achieve everything on her own. She serves drinks, cooks meals, maintains cleanliness and accommodates new guests. You should be kind to her.

This a solid hotel in Sinza. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming and the nights rate isn’t bad for what you get. There’s good soundproofing on most the rooms, which is really important in Dar. The only downsides are that the breakfast isn’t very good (they never put enough out either, considering the number of guests) and sometimes the water just stops running for now apparent reason.

The area around looks a bit creepy but once you are in the hotel it is very nice, especially considering the price. The breakfast was also very good compared to other similar hotels.

It's a homely environment. We were received very well from the airport up to the hotel. They even give guidance to places one doesn't know

The rooms are very clean, nit and tidy. Everything is beyond expectations, although there is a small need in setting the missing interior design in the bathroom. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. I'd recommend this hotel to both locals and foreign as your first option when you are in Dar Es Salaam.

Should be able to offer a decent breakfast at their rates. And inform their customers on the same.

A quiet place, wonderful one. I had a nice stay over there

1. My boyfriend was conned 20$ for airport transfers which were not communicated earlier by the management. 2.The rooms had many tiny cockroaches lurking around. Some were even in the electric kettle which had water all through an indication than they didn't clean the kettle or the utensils on the desk. 3. The shower glass was leaking ended up stagnating water on the bathroom floor. 4. The restaurant service was so poor instead of helping they'd sit and stare at us as they kept on talking in their corner. 5. The ceiling fan had only one setting. Making it difficult to regulate the speed. 6. Poor complimentary breakfast, they left their watermelon slices open to flies. 7. One of thee front desk receptionists had an attitude, kept patronising my boyfriend because she didn't recognize his " Hi" as a proper greeting. The attitude went on to a point she started addressing me instead of my boyfriend who was the primary guest on the reservation. 8. My boyfriend was also made to pay an extra charge when checking out and they claimed it was the system that gave them the amount we were to pay which they could not account for.

Just for staying it's suitable don't expect anything else to be good

Very cool hotel

Not the type of place I would go to have some off time to relax. There were cockroaches in the room which was a big turn off for me. There was a lady there called Salome who was very friendly and helpful. If you're just looking for a place to just come and sleep then do other things, then this is a good place for a good price.
