The place is run down, safe and TV didn't work, restaurant and bar no service, pool table sticks without tips, mattress rock hard and pretty done, haven't seen one straight picture on the walls, maintenance issues throughout the property, Needs urgently some tender and care.

I was there to photography a resident that had stayed for 4 days with 11 others. I understand they do not allow people to be photographed in the facility, that is fine, but the way the manager handle the whole situation it had a colonial-racist twist to it. Mr. Manager not everything needs you to shout or call security. Relax, this is Tanzania not wherever you came from, with that attitude you will be stressed and frustrate your business. Photographically, the resort is a gold mine. To any photographer out there if you can deal with the manager's colonial-racist mindset, the place is a very beautiful.

It is a perfect beachside resort where we can spend family time and collect memories forever. Set in Dar es Salaam and offering beachfront accommodation, Azure Boutique Resort , Oceanview Restaurant & Grand Panoramic Hall for Banquets and Meetings is a 4-star rated property with a swimming pool and a garden. The swimming pool water is very clean and there is a seating arrangement around the pool. The property is located 9 km from Kunduchi beach ruins. The property features a 24-hour front desk. The rooms in the resort are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Azure Boutique Resort , Oceanview Restaurant & Grand Panoramic Hall for Banquets and Meetings also offer a garden view. All guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. The rooms are well organized and it is equipped with wooden furniture, It gives a lavish look to the room. The rooms are constructed in a way that every room can get a sea view. The Color combination in the rooms is awesome. A continental breakfast is served every morning at the property. The onsite restaurant offers African, Italian, Seafood, International and European cuisine. The accommodation offers a terrace. Water World is 300 m from the property. The garden is not too big but it is maintained nicely. There are two fountains in the garden and fish also in the pond. Well equipped Gym is provided near the reception. The beach is very clean and we can spend a evening on the beach with fun and enjoyment.

Place is quite easy to locate as it's on the same road with other popular beachside hotels in the area. Checkin was smooth. There were not many people at the hotel when I stayed there. The rooms could do with a revamp. Rooms are franky old. The bathrooms need an overhaul. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a beautiful experience and always will be. They have the best pricing with best services and top of all it has a beautiful beach with a great view from the hotel. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym access 24/7. The food is fabulous πŸ‘Œ, trust me you really wanna visit l. Personally it's a place I usually go when I want to escape from the terrors of the world.

Relaxing team retreat ruined at the last hour by unprofessional, rude manager Our team of 14 spent 4 nights at Azure Boutique Resort in October 2021. Right before checkout, I called a professional photographer to take a few photos of me at the beautiful resort for 15-20mins. The manager sent one of his staff to tell me we're not allowed to do that and we need to pay. Keeping in mind, we had stayed there for several days and the hotel actually owed us money ($120) that they refused to refund since we overpaid in advance for a colleague who was unable to procure a visa. We decided to let it go. After trying to inquire with the manager, he proceeded to shout at me and aggressively kicked out the photographer from the hotel. He then sent someone to bang on the door of the colleagues and asked them to leave their rooms, despite requesting 30mins late checkout and getting it approved in the morning. This man is extremely inhospitable, rude, racist, unpleasant and for the most part useless. If Happiness (a very nice staff member) has to do your dirty work, you never acknowledged us even once, and then you ruin the entire stay with your attitude, what exactly is your purpose? Just bad vibes? If the owners/shareholders are reading this, please replace this incompetent man and promote Happiness. If Stefano is in fact the owner, then I can rest in peace knowing his business will surely close with his fragile ego & attitude. Ok now to the full review: The Good: Great Wifi Great Breakfast selection Delicious lunch buffet Good Air-conditioning Extremely clean pool Beautiful beach views and trip to Mbudya Island Easy to hail an Uber Happiness was an absolute pleasure to work with. We arranged everything via email and she was quick to respond, was supportive and answered all our queries. The Bad: Incompetent, inhospitable, rude manager No hot shower Rooms on ground floor were moldy/musty In need of renovation, there were rusty stairs Two colleagues got locked in their rooms Overall, it was a very nice stay. Our team also used the conference package for 2 days. The meeting room was comfortable and the tea service was nice. Would I recommend it? Unfortunately, not after my experience with the manager. If any problems were to arise, he would not handle them appropriately. Sadly, he brings the whole team down. I don't see the point in hiring foreign managers who have a bad/racist attitude when our Tanzanians can do a much better job. He's clearly in the wrong industry/profession, esp evident by him doubling down defensively on any negative reviews rather than using the constructive feedback. We ended up taking the pics in a neighboring parking lot and they turned out great πŸ”₯

The whole place needs renovation. Unfortunately this place has not seen any maintenance since years and it's evident at every corner. Booked this hotel for 2 nights to relax after our safari but it was horrible. I was disgusted by the dirty bedsheets, even after requesting the sheets we were not given new sheets. We left the hotel after the first night. They need to close down the hotel and reopen only after the renovations.

Nice looking hotel. Rooms are bit outdated and altough hotel has its own private beach, beach is completely unusable and full of seaweed. Due to seaweed when it's windy you can notice some funny smell. Due to change in our flight from zanzibar we had unexpected day in Dar es Salam and we've choosed this resort so we can have 1 more extra day at the beach but since beach was unusable it was a fail for us. We did use pool which is quite nice and big but our main point for booking this resort was for the the beach that we couldn't use. If we knew we would choose hotel in downtown which is much closer to the airport. On a positive side, staff was nice and breakfast was very nice with some a la cart options.

Stayed for 3 nights with a family group of 8 people. Reserved a villa (sleeps 6) and a room overlooking the swimming pool. Unfortunately the first day we checked in was a total write-off as I had to spend 6 hrs. trying to get multiple maintenance issues fixed in the villa (A/C not working, fridge not working, no hot water faucet in one of the showers, multiple bulbs burnt out, tubelight in kitchen not working, etc.). Juma, the maintenance tech, was very helpful and did manage to fix most of the issues but since we had reserved a week in advance and paid a deposit, all of these issues should have been addressed by a pre-inspection of the villa before our arrival. Our room in the hotel was fine except for slow drains in both the the bathroom sink and tub which was fixed the following day after I had mentioned this to the manager. Staff was generally helpful (special mention to Abel - Front Desk and Sam - Head waiter). Pool was very nice. Beach huts were comfortable and private. Breakfast was good with a wide variety plus a choice of 1 dish from the a la carte menu. Overall the location, surroundings and property were very nice but a more proactive maintenance program / inspection would go a long way towards improving the quality of the resort.

The architectural details in the space finishing and interior deaign is breath taking .....but one should always opt for shef's menu of the day to be on safe side ....there abit of mosquitoes so having a mosquito repellant could come in handy .......

Colorful in blue, green and others. Swimming pool and other facilities dedicated to guests staying at the hotel only, access to beach and amazing breakfast. Need to up maintenance of the items in the rooms such as doors locks and lights.

The place is lovely and loved the private beach and didn't know the Indian Ocean actually moves away in the afternoons :( and since I love sports and food, I spent most of my time working out and enjoyed the nice heavy breakfast which was delicious. Apart from the two times I changed my room because of some fault, I would come back to Azure!

It is nice quaint place. It is located away from the Dar Metropolitan area. This is an older place that has ni e spacious rooms with balconies facing the ocean.
