A Jamaican style beach club on Dar Es Salaams waterfront. The place is run by a lovely couple with equally lovely staff. Cold drinks and good food all marinated in reggae music. Watch the fishermen bring in their catches from your boat-style lounge set. Better yet, have it prepared and eat it right away. It does not get any fresher than that. When you are around here you should definitely visit this place.

Mahaba became our favourite spot on Ununio after trying a few places. We came here for lunch a few times and were always very satisfied. The staff and owners are lovely. The space and design of the sitting areas is very well thought out. The rock lobster and fish fillet with chips are so delicious.

Kitchens are very limited, the food is also limited to mainly fish. Better structures can be put up to enhance one's experience

This place is so chill and relaxing. They keep the beach relatively clean which I appreciate. Good clean beaches can be hard to find in Dar es Salaam. Unfortunately the chef was sick when we were there so we couldnt taste any of the delicious food my husband was raving about. He swears they have the best fish πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ. Better luck next time I guess. The workers were still nice they order us food from a local spot and plated it up for us. The only negative thing is some of the furniture cushions and chairs look like they got in a fight with a walrus. I suggest updating them with fresh upholstery and cleaning them daily. Otherwise it was well worth the drive. I didnt get to meet the management they were out of the country but I look forward to it and updating this post on my next visit.

I'd call this place a "hidden gem" but it is well known due to positive online presence and various reviews. It's a good place to come and relax, enjoy the beach environment and reggae music. The food choice is always catch of the day with chips and salad as it's located right where the fishermen bring their catch in.

It's a quiet place. The beach has clean waters and there are alot of people there. There's swimming lessons from locals who offer the service for a price. There's no crime that I've witnessed or even heard of. Even petty theft is little to none. The waters are calm enough to swim in without worry and very friendly to those who wish to learn how to swim. There's bars and pubs where they serve food and play music for entertainment. All in all, it's a very chill place from my experience. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's not high end. But, it's worth the visit if you're on a tight budget

A great place to relax for seafood and reggae lovers with a fish market within walking distance to Mahaba. As we were leaving we were lucky enough to catch a glimse of a crab as it was scouring away in the parking lot area which was a plus for us! The upholstery could do with abit of refurbishing though.

Nice place where you can see locals moving around doing their regular chores. You don't see many during the extreme hot hours, but once the sun starts calming down around 4 or 5 pm, you begin to see plenty of them walking around the beach for relaxation or selling small scale already cooked snacks such as boiled eggs, nuts, coffee , fruits, ice cream, fried fish and so on. Some of these sellers are very young kids 😒. It is also a place where local fishermen carry out their activities using these wooden boats (dhows).

Brilliant setting on the beach. Excellent vibe with funky feel. Bob Marley influenced. Definitely a must visit and could very well become your favourite chill-out spot. Food is excellent. Service is great.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great vibe, always a pleasure being here. Oceanic/fish theme decor is very creative and fun. Food is great, every single dish I ever tasted here was amazing. Watch out for the waiters though they can mess with your order and/or bill and have an attitude when you call them out.
