Was travelling on a motorcycle tour with Compass Expeditions, we'd had a tough day due to heavy rain and two of our party being seriously injured in separate accidents. We arrived at the MBM Hotel after 10:00 pm, we were all soaking wet and cold. The manager sprang into action and ushered us into the secure basement to park our bikes undercover, we had no ID/Passports as all our gear was in the support vehicle which had gone with one of the injured guys to hospital. No problem said the manager, he gave us rooms, suggested we order food and he'd keep the kitchen open so we could eat he served us beers and generally made us comfortable as we dripped on his clean floors. We came down to dinner in the plastic sandals as our boots were soaked. He trusted us to sort the bills out in the morning, which we of course did. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable...we were very grateful to the manager and his team for their caring hospitality and the food we had was hearty and tasty. Shower was hot. Breakfast next morning was also great.

We had a nice lunch at the restaurant on the first floor with salad and khuushuur.

Clean and well maintained hotel. Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Good breakfast. Only problem is staffs are not friendly

Expected it to be more cleaner, and friendly faces. Instead of a room with a weird smell, not so polite receptionist, and a half drinken bottle of water!!?? Lol The only thing I’d give my starts is the breakfast. Please learn to respect your customers!

Had a quality time there! But staffs are not helpful. Food is ok but when I am served it is more expensive than the menu. The restaurant is too noisy after 9.00pm. When you come to visit this hotel do not expect hot water. Overall, it was a quite good stay in Darkhan. Comparing to other hotels, this place deserves 3 stars.

The food was pretty good. We went there twice. The steaks are always well done but the vegitables that come with it make it well worth it. The mbm pizza is definetly mongolianized but it wasnt bad and the Hawaiian pizza was also really good. Definetly one of the better eating places in darkhan.

A so-so hotel for overnight stay. Almost everything that one needs is there but, my problem was inadequate light and, although there is a desk space, there is no desk chair. Staff quality is good and they are helpful but English is not common.

Stayed here in 2017 and there was no hot water. I know hot water is not always the hotel’s fault in Mongolia so I stayed again in 2019. No hot water again, I will not come back again. The breakfast is better than expected. Staff don’t speak English and aren’t much help even if you speak Mongolian.
