A place that not everyone knows, you can have a relaxed picnic there and unwind. A good starting point for going for a walk. The paths are very idyllic.

Small wooden temple near the waterfall so that the tired hiker can rest. The waterfall sounds like a big one, just a pretty enchanted corner.

The place is of course very nice, but it's really annoying that so many people hang out there. Of course, a lot of rubbish remains lying around, even though it is a landscape protection area. In addition, the adjacent properties are private, which is completely ignored. Grass intended for animal feed is trampled flat and the surrounding fruit trees are plundered. It's a shame that the great surroundings are so little respected.

Für kleinere Wanderungen ist dieses Tempelchen ein toller Ort, um ein Päuschen zu machen. Die Wasserfällchen sind vom Tempelchen aus nicht wirklich zu sehen aufgrund der Vegetation.

Not a waterfall, but a beautiful weir in a natural setting with animals, pleasant paths, numerous fruit and nut trees.

Pretty to the eye, but the water smells like a sewage treatment plant

What you find there now is a faint reflection of how it originally was. The Eberstadt Beautification Association built the temple around 1920 on the nature path along Mühltalstrasse and the mill ditch of the Wiesenmühle and two other mills below. The "waterfall", a romantic, rushing element at the pavilion, is part of the now dry Mühlgraben. The old tee is still there; it could be put back into operation at any time and the ditch flooded. One must assume that the flow of the Modau was largely channeled into this mill race for centuries because water power was needed, and today's artificial stream bed only carried the water that was "left over". There was also a crossing of the stream at the weir to the opposite side of the valley as a circular route to the Nature Friends House. This path branched off at the Judenbrunnen and was used, among other things, to maintain the weir. The property still exists. After the mill was no longer used and the ditch was drained, no one was interested in the waterfront promenade ("Waalweg") with the pavilion, so that this originally beautifully designed, natural recreational facility with steps to the water is just as ruined and overgrown as it is now . It's very, very unfortunate.
