Catastrophe
with
cucumber
and
vinegar:
Allegedly,
the
hotel
reception
has
reserved
a
table
for
me.
Nobody
knew
anything
about
that
in
the
adjoining
restaurant,
but
at
least
they
quickly
prepared
a
table
for
me
-
outside,
it
was
nice
weather.
There
are
tables
to
the
left
and
right
of
the
entrance,
mine
was
the
only
set
table
on
the
right,
and
wobbled
horribly,
despite
the
attempt
to
stabilize
it
with
documents.
Well,
I
still
had
a
good
mood
and
helped.
After
some
time,
there
was
spicy
olive
bread
with
oil
and
salt,
at
some
point
an
attention
of
the
kitchen
-
I
sat
there
for
over
an
hour.
At
some
point
came
the
appetizer,
gazpacho
with
fried
shrimp.
The
shrimp
was
great.
The
gazpacho
consisted,
as
indicated
on
the
card,
of
paprika
and
cucumber.
OK,
that
does
not
have
to
be
bad,
but
the
cook
somehow
has
a
tendency
to
pour
a
lot
of
vinegar
into
the
cucumbers
or
make
the
whole
thing
otherwise
inedible.
I
have
a
stomach
problem.
Well
you
could
say
'then
order
nothing
with
cucumber'
-
well
roared,
lion,
but
it's
just
everywhere
cucumber
here,
no
matter
if
you
ordered
salmon
or
Wiener
Schnitzel,
and
then
everything
is
still
arranged
so
that
the
cucumber
not
can
dodge.
Okay,
the
gazpacho
went
back.
But
finally
came
a
napkin:
the
service
was
rare,
but
it
was
always
so
quickly
gone
that
you
could
not
tell
her
-
and
on
the
table,
she
apparently
did
not
pay
attention,
otherwise
it
would
have
been
noticed.
Then
the
catastrophe
followed.
After
three
apologetic
'Her
main
course
is
coming
soon',
he
actually
did
arrive
shortly
after
Nine.
Since
I
still
had
to
prepare
something
for
the
next
day,
I
then
asked
for
the
bill
to
be
finished,
fearing
that
this
too
might
take
half
an
hour
or
more.
But
lo
and
behold,
the
bill
came
almost
immediately.
And
just
four
minutes
later
another
waiter
came
and
wanted
to
pick
her
up.
I
just
had
two
bites
of
the
otherwise
excellent
veal
fillet.
Well,
I
paid
and
left
and
will
not
come
back.
Who
wants
to
have
12
euros
for
a
gazpacho
and
27
for
a
veal
fillet,
which
could
also
give
a
very
little
effort
with
his
guests.
Maybe
it's
my
fault
and
you
do
not
like
guests
like
me
there
and
want
to
make
that
clear
for
them.
I'm
not
raging
with
a
S-class
up
the
gravel
road
to
the
entrance
but
strive
for
a
more
modest
appearance.
Arrives
quite
well
in
my
environment,
in
Kranichstein
apparently
not.
Again
something
learned
in
the
old
days.
Two
stars,
because
the
Württemberger
Riesling,
the
shrimp
and
the
veal
fillet
were
good.

Katastrophe
mit
Gurke
und
Essig:
Angeblich
hat
mir
die
Hotel-Rezeption
einen
Tisch
reserviert.
Davon
wusste
im
angegliederten
Restaurant
niemand
etwas,
aber
immerhin
bereitete
man
mir
schnell
einen
Tisch
vor
-
draußen,
es
war
schönes
Wetter.
Es
gibt
links
und
rechts
des
Eingangs
Tische,
meiner
war
der
einzige
gedeckte
Tisch
auf
der
rechten
Seite
und
wackelte
furchtbar,
trotz
des
Versuchs,
ihn
mit
Unterlagen
zu
stabilisieren.
Nun
gut,
ich
hatte
da
noch
gute
Laune
und
habe
geholfen.
Es
kam
nach
einiger
Zeit
scharfes
Olivenbrot
mit
Öl
und
Salz,
irgendwann
eine
Aufmerksamkeit
der
Küche
-
da
saß
ich
schon
über
eine
Stunde.
Irgendwann
kam
dann
auch
die
Vorspeise,
Gazpacho
mit
gebratener
Garnele.
Die
Garnele
war
toll.
Das
Gazpacho
bestand,
wie
auf
der
Karte
angegeben,
aus
Paprika
und
Gurke.
OK,
das
muss
nicht
schlecht
sein,
aber
der
Koch
hat
irgendwie
einen
Hang
dazu,
ewig
viel
Essig
zu
den
Gurken
zu
gießen
oder
das
ganze
sonstwie
ungenießbar
zu
machen.
Ich
habe
damit
ein
Magenproblem.
Nun
könnte
man
sagen
'dann
bestell
halt
nichts
mit
Gurke'
-
gut
gebrüllt,
Löwe,
aber
es
ist
halt
überall
Gurke
dabei,
egal
ob
man
Lachs
bestellt
oder
Wiener
Schnitzel,
und
dann
ist
das
alles
auch
noch
so
arrangiert,
dass
man
der
Gurke
nicht
ausweichen
kann.
Also
ok,
das
Gazpacho
ging
zurück.
Dafür
kam
endlich
eine
Serviette:
die
Bedienung
kam
zwar
selten,
war
dann
aber
immer
so
schnell
wieder
weg,
dass
man
ihr
es
nicht
sagen
konnte
-
und
auf
den
Tisch
hat
sie
offenbar
auch
nicht
geachtet,
sonst
hätte
es
auffallen
müssen.
Dann
folgte
die
Katastrophe.
Nach
drei
entschuldigenden
'Ihr
Hauptgang
kommt
auch
bald'
kam
er
dann
tatsächlich
um
kurz
nach
Neun.
Da
ich
für
den
kommenden
Tag
noch
etwas
vorbereiten
musste,
bat
ich
dann
darum,
mir
auch
schon
einmal
die
Rechnung
fertig
zu
machen
in
der
Befürchtung,
auch
dies
würde
vielleicht
eine
halbe
Stunde
oder
länger
dauern.
Doch
siehe
da,
die
Rechnung
kam
praktisch
sofort.
Und
gerade
einmal
vier
Minuten
später
kam
erneut
ein
Kellner
und
wollte
sie
bezahlt
abholen.
Ich
hatte
da
gerade
einmal
zwei
Bissen
des
ansonsten
hervorragenden
Kalbsfilets
gegessen.
Nunja,
ich
habe
dann
bezahlt
und
bin
gegangen
und
werde
auch
nicht
mehr
wiederkommen.
Wer
12
Euro
für
ein
Gazpacho
und
27
für
ein
Kalbsfilet
haben
möchte,
der
könnte
sich
auch
ein
ganz
klein
wenig
Mühe
mit
seinen
Gästen
geben.
Vielleicht
ist
es
meine
Schuld
und
man
mag
dort
Gäste
wie
mich
nicht
und
möchte
ihnen
das
auf
diesem
Wege
klar
machen.
Ich
rase
halt
nicht
mit
einer
S-Klasse
den
Schotterweg
hinauf
bis
zum
Eingang
sondern
bemühe
mich
um
ein
etwas
bescheideneres
Auftreten.
Kommt
in
meinem
Umfeld
ganz
gut
an,
in
Kranichstein
offenbar
nicht.
Wieder
was
gelernt
auf
die
alten
Tage.
Zwei
Sterne,
denn
der
württemberger
Riesling,
die
Garnele
und
das
Kalbsfilet
waren
gut.
