This is a TU Darmstadt canteen. Outside people are not allowed. Food is average! Not cheap at all considering the fact that it is university mensa. You can find always vegetarian and non vegetarian things to eat.

Really bad quality and low quantity of food food. Only 2 options per day. Worst payment system I have seen in my life, you pay 5 euros for a card and you can only put money in the card with cash, and coins are not even allowed). On my last day I went to luch at 2:05 because they do 50% discount between 2:00 and 2:15. After getting my food in the tapper I went to pay but I had not money on my card, I went to fill it and when I came back it was 2:18 and they did not let me go in again. THEY THROW MY FOOT AWAY and I could not have luch. By far the worst university restaurant I have ever been

Previously the food was much better. Now it is expensive and not so good. Some days there is nothing to choose for people who like meat. Even bistro with sausages is closed. More and more people choose to take lunch from home.

There should be a rule that the people who cook at the Mensa also need to eat the food here

average food in taste and price seems high for students. But I prefer to eat on happy hours after 2 pm to 2.30 pm where foods are half priced.

Nice place to chill or learn with friends. Normally I would give 5/5 stars, but the only problem of the Lichtwiese is that there aren't any shops or supermarkets. In my eyes it's a very big problem because the only way to get food is from the Mensa of TU Darmstadt. Next shop seems to be like 3 kilometers away. But still a beautiful place in Darmstadt.

The worse place to eat lunch. Very expensive, low quality and very bad taste

Food quality can definitely be improved. Also, you can only pay using your Athena card, which I think complicates things for no reason. The building is quite old. But the atmosphere is cozy. Overall, a decent Mensa.

Really good food for students. New renovated! Downstairs french fries or simple food, upstairs more than 4 different food serving counters. There is noodles, potato dish, vegan, wok, pizza/ tarte flambée. Additional you can mix your personal salad, get different dessert, pudding or fruits.

The food is cheap, so dont expect a great meal, but it is a warm lunch for a relatively good price

University canteen mainly for the Geology-, Architectural , Mechanical Engineering Students and professors from TU. Very big, cool and welcoming for anyone in the surroundings. They have some tasty Burgers and fries

Good place to eat with a new tram station next to it. Sometimes there's also a vegan food truck adjacent to the building.

It varies greatly. There are good days and bad days. Keep a track of the monthly menu. The specials are really good. Campus cooking, Bayern week and many others that have really good dishes.

Food is okay although not many options and the portion is getting smaller. In comparison to other Mensa and student restaurant such as Mensa Schöfferstraße and Schöffers, staff members here are friendly enough and some will give you a smile. In my opinion, this is already one of the better Mensa at TU
