I ordered clams today, I thought I had received a half order by mistake. Do not waste your money. There are many other places that will actually give you a full order of clams. It may have been ten clams at the most and apparently was a full order. Plus they were over cooked. The waitress was mad because I was not pleased. When my friend pointed out that she made a mistake and put my pop on her bill. She became very rude and indifferent towards us.To charge 24 dollars for a very small serving of clams with a salad was disgusting. John’s lunch will give a much bigger serving size. It will cost a bit more but at least you walk away full.

Seamus David's Irish Pub seems to be a pretty popular place! We were seated fairly quickly and our waitress was quick to bring a menu and ask what we would like to drink. My husband ordered the club and I got the Seamus Burger. Food came fairly quickly and the presentation was lovely! Everything was hot and freshly made. The fries were absolutely delicious - I would go here again just to eat them! The burger is an 8oz patty and is super juicy. However that's where the enjoyable part of our meal ends. The burger was underseasoned and very plain tasting. Nothing jumped out to me in terms of flavour from the burger patty itself, other than the salty flavour of the meat. The bun was a standard burger bun, topped with a dill pickle slice, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mushrooms. It looks delicious and while it wasn't bad tasting, it definitely left me disappointed and wanting something better. The burger comes with a mustard and relish package on the side, and a paper cup of ketchup from your fries which you can also put on the burger. For the price of the burger ($15) I would have expected a more flavourful, seasoned patty, being asked what I'd like on the burger and for the underside of the bun to be toasted. The waitress did not check on us during our time there, other than to quickly top up our coffees (without asking or saying anything). When my husband was finishing the last bite of my burger (still had some fries on my plate) she came by and asked if she could take the plates away and bring our bill. We felt rushed and had considered ordering dessert bit were not asked if we would be having anything else, only "can I take your plates, and will that be one bill?" Overall, very disappointed with the service and food.

A friend recommended we do lunch here. Wow. I had a bacon-wrapped steak and a couple shrimp skewers. The shrimp were pretty good, but the steak was probably the tastiest I've eaten from a restaurant. The service was phenomenal also. We went for when it opened, at 1130hrs, and glad we did as it filled up quickly. Just a wonderful place.

This used to be one of the best. Quality homemade dishes, fun service. The last two visits were disappointing. Tired service, gravy from a chemical kit, powdered mashed potatoes, grisly liver. Although I understand the cost/labour issues, for the $ there are better options. Hopefully, they can return to their previous level.

The staff was not rude but I wouldn't say friendly eather. Table for 2 got in right away, placed our drink and appetizer order together. Table beside us got sat. Finally got our main order placed. Other table got there main dish. Still no Appetizer. It was a long time before the appetizer came. We got the dip of the day. It was good once it came. Then our food came we got Fish and chips. Would definitely never order that again. Or anything with fries. They where soggy and cold. For the few times I do eat in that area I won't be back.

Only one vegetarian option available (a vegetarian burger). It was so hot that day that I didn't feel like eating a burger it just sounded too heavy. What other options do I have here? I thought it would be a good idea instead to try something lighter so I decided to get a ceasar salad without bacon. It was a terrible ceasar salad, bland croutons and the dressing was sour. I would not go again, I would not recommend.

This evening 31May2023 four of us attended the restaurant following our evacuation due to the wildfire and sat on the patio as we had a pet. Our waitress was superb and did her level best to serve the entire patio. Unfortunately I didn't get her name however she is young and very effective. We had a drink and ordered our meals, which were superb with the exception of one. Her wrap was ordered without red onion however when it came...there was the red onions. It looked good however hard to pick it apart to remove the onions. The plate was sent back and a second order - minus the red onions was again placed. Several minutes later, when the rest of us had all but consumed our meal her order arrived. Again, there was red onions in the wrap. The waitress was mortified, apologizing all over herself however my sense was that she placed the order correctly, both times. Rather than a third try she simply placed an order of fries and let it go. When it came time for billing instructions our friend mentioned to the waitress that her glass of wine should be comped, given the fact that she missed her meal and decided to settle on a plate of fries. Our waitress advised that she would have to check with her manager. She returned advising that manager directed that there be no charge for the fries however the glass of wine be invoiced. I believe the manager's name is Kara. I find it very unfortunate that a decision which could have bolstered this pub's reputation took a left turn which ended up simply nullifying all the good that we have previously experienced here. I don't believe that after two failed attempts to get a meal right the correct decision was to "come again and take your chances." Not a comment on the meal but on the managerial service to install repeat business. So, perhaps when we are looking for a pet friendly outing, I might not be the one to suggest Seamus Davids Pub, and to me...that's a shame!!!

We typically enjoy this restaurant. The last few times haven’t been great. The service is fine nothing exceptional, however the food we’ve noticed is more expensive (much anticipated), but the portions are small. Very small. The description in the menu does not match what you receive. Hot sandwich of the day served with potato and a vegetable. There were 19 small peas on the gravy and our bread was missing the crust ? Overall a disappointing experience

I was out on the patio, eating on my work break. The food was delicious, service was excellent. The smokers at the table next to me went outside the fence to have a cigarette but it still blew back into the eating area so that was the only issue I had.

My wife wanted to go here for lunch roughly three months ago as she used tk work in the crossing and enjoyed it, Our first waitress wasn't really nice, and I feel like we had every server stop at our table which was odd. The food wasn't good, my beer was flat. My wife didn't like hers either she told me that she was shocked the food had gone downhill. I was bummed. I spent 88$ on lunch.

Went for supper to celebrate a birthday. Our server was prompt, explained the menu and specials for that evening. We got our drinks quickly and refilled in the same short time. The issue we had was with the food. It is average at best, my fish taco wrap had fish very overdone, and my fries were cold. My wife had the same issues, with our appetizer being onion rings being cooked in old oil. There was no live music at the time so I cannot rate it, but overall the pub is clean and welcoming.

I moved home last fall and went for lunch with my mom while we were shopping and really enjoyed our food. Since then, I have brought my husband along with my mother and father in law and they are all huge fans as well!! Great food, wonderful service!!

We sat in a booth, the seats were on the high side, and my toes only touched the floor. I had the fish and chips the fish was good, and the fries were overdone. The place was packed so it was difficult sometimes to speak to my friend. I did like the place itself.

OMG would you please change your menu.. It has been the same for the last 7-8 years.. Maybe that is why business is so slow. We were there yesterday for an early dinner. holly was our server and she is fantastic. The special was a chicken crunch sandwich which was the same in June and I bet has not changed. Last Summer you had a big sign saying watch for drink and food menu changes but it never happened. so sad that such a nice Pub is not run right.

My first stop when I get off the boat after a 28 day hitch. Best wings in the city. We live in Lunenburg (1 hour drive), and we stop whenever we're in the area. Great service, friendly staff, the manager Becky is a gem, and the wings are the bomb dot com. Highly recommend

We decided to go to Seamus Irish pub to celebrate my moms birthday. I had heard from a few people that they had enjoyed it here but my experience wasn't as great. I started with a warm artichoke dip that was cold in the middle... but still tasted good none the less. We were a table of 6 and two of us ordered the exact same thing, steak sandwich, medium rare. Mine came charred and flavourless, resembling a piece of leather. I attempted to eat it as I was hungry, but I just couldn't. It was awful. The other steak sandwich at the table wasn't as bad as mine, having a touch of flavour and not so over cooked. I asked to return my sandwich as it just wasn't eatable. Kitchen was now closed so I ended up keeping my side potato as I would have nothing to eat for dinner without it but should have just let it go as well, as it tasted like it was sitting out for hours. Dry and crumbly. The sandwich was removed from my bill and I was only charged for my potato. My moms food was served cold. Our Service wasn't the greatest as multiple times we had to seek out water and drink refills by leaving the table to find someone. Only 3 out of 6 of us liked the food during this visit. The experience here was so disappointing that we made new plans to celebrate my moms birthday days later at another restaurant.

Absolutely terrible quality food Ordered the lamb burger, pretty sure it was beef. Whatever it was they fed me it was obviously frozen and you get better quality at A&W, outrageous they’re charging $20+ My girlfriend ordered the fish taco/wrap it smelled and tasted off, was just as miserable as my mystery meat burger The only part of our meal we enjoyed was the side salads The server was really nice and friendly. We complained about our meals and only got $7 taken off a $70 - $80 meal. I’d like to give the service a better rating not the waitresses fault but we were extremely unsatisfied with our meal and feel the establishment should have done more than a $7 discount considering how poor the meal quality was Atmosphere is nice and the drinks were good, I’d go back for drinks but will never eat here again

Super happy with our experience today! First time coming in and won't be our last. The burchetta was delicious and the onion rings too. Excellent service too. Holly was lovely, attentive, and nice to small chat with.

Went here to have a snack and visit an old friend. We had nachos, and they were just ok. Not much taste. Hubby had a smoked meat sandwich, and he said it was good. Of course, the beer was good! Nice atmosphere, good parking, great waitress.

Wings were good. Steak sandwich was overdone, burnt, medium rare ordered, fish was dry, overcooked, tasted fishy, baked potato tasted like it had been cooked during the day. Fries were cold and limp. Beer was nice and cold. My daughter's steak was sent back due to it's toughness and overcooked so all she had was her shriveled up 3.50 baked potato that he charged her for. I don't mind paying for food when it's fresh and good but last night only 3 people out of six were satisfied.

Had a wonderful lunch with my sister. Our server Becky was amazing, and both our fish dishes were delicious. The lemon haddock was so savoury and the battered fish was light and crispy. Highly recommend 😃

This place was recommended by pub owner in New Glasgow. I love pubs and was really looking forward to this place. Nice pub warm atmosphere..there were 4 of us. Beer and wine selection was decent . Two ordered the steak sandwich which was absolutely tasteless and I ordered med rare and got well done . Bangers and mash is not just Sausage and mashed potato.. where’s the onion gravy? Liver and onions smothered in cheap instant beef gravy. Only dessert left was sticky toffee pudding which normally is my favourite. It was covered with some kind of cream cheese and then the toffee sauce , I think .. We all agreed .. another failure I am giving one star for the only bright side of the evening and that is the server Brooklyn who was pleasant and very attentive .. I travel for work and eat out approximately 4 nights a week Overall impression: Possibly the worse meal I have ever had .

The food here is amazing ! Staff is incredibly friendly and definitely has the Irish pub feel in the middle of Dartmouth Crossing. My personal go to’s are Shepard’s pie (seriously so good) and the seafood chowder (also amazing) but good here is excellent !! Also tried a new dessert called peanut butter stack. Very sweet but superrrr good.

Very enjoyable experience, went with work group early in the morning. At 12pm they were almost full. Great atmosphere, nice drinks, nice food. I tried their beet salad, and wanted more beets and goat cheese rather than feta.

Very cozy little pub, and for a suburban mall they have captured the Irish pub feel pretty well. We were seated quickly, so that was nice. There were several large groups so service was a bit slower than you would normally expect but it was still quite reasonable. Food was just ok. They had run out of burgers (all burgers) and the other two menu items we did get were somewhat bland. It was absolutely edible and we ate it all, so I want to be clear it wasn't bad. Just ok... Maybe because there are so many amazing reviews I was expecting more? Prices are decent so for a quick pub lunch while I was shopping in the area, I would probably be back to give it a second chance.

Located at one end of the Dartmouth Crossing loop, there is lots of free parking across the street. You enter a nice wood accented pub with main and overflow rooms. A nice selection of 3rd party craft brews, good menu choices and our selections were tasty. Pricing was reasonable but not cheap, as expected.

Very good service. The food was tasty reasonably priced and delivered promptly. A decent selection of beer on tap that was cold and refreshing.

I really love Seamus David's, this place has awesome food! I love the Mighty Seamus burger I've had it twice and both times it was great. And the onion rings are good too, I do have to mention that the menu says it's a pound of onions but it's nowhere near that amount so if you do order the onion rings don't expect a large quantity. None the less I would still recommend trying this place out.

Stopped in to try their wings on recommendation from a friend. The wings were delicious, the service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely go again.

We stopped in for lunch and a pint. My wife and I each had the soup and sandwich, and the price was right, and the food was exactly what we were looking for. The service was phenomenal even though the place was hopping. Our meal was simple and came out quick. We will be back.

A nice variety on the menu. Food seems rather tasty. Lots of good seating options. Very friendly and personable staff. Great neighborhood haunt or somewhere to go after work. Looking forward to my next visit.

I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star but have no choice. I went there with my family and was sat by a nice waiter. He was young and was somewhat forgetful but nice.. we all ordered our food and waited at least 45 mind.. and for some reason the waiter forgot my sister's order and she had to wait another 20 mins for her food while we all ate. My son ordered a Caesar salad and had a few bites.. he noticed a huge beetle in his salad alive!! I brought this to the waiters attention.. he then came over and said he would take it off the bill.. I told him that's not good enough as we all don't feel like eating our food now. We all had similar foods and most of us had salads.. I asked to speak with a manager.. a lady came over to our table and didn't introduce herself to us and said she understood our concern and that she was going to call the owner. She then came over and said that she would comp my son's salad and my sister's fish but then we would get a discount with 20% for the rest. I'm sorry but that just not good enough.. the manager was extremely rude defensive and not understanding I'm not going to pay for something that I didn't even eat.. I had one bite of my meal.. we offered to pay for the apps that we ate but we weren't going to pay for anything else so she walked away huffing and puffing and then came back to say that they were going to comp everything and that we could leave.. there was no apology there's no sympathy there was no understanding.. would NEVER GO BACK!

Had to go two times in just 1 week, absolutely loved the food. Quiet, out of the way place which is nice. Prices and selection very reasonable, and of course tasty selection of beer. Definitely will be back often.

First time trying out this pub, was in the area with my family and we decided to give it a try. Waiter was super nice and friendly. We all ordered our food, mine was forgotten somehow so I had to wait why everyone else started to eat. After a few bites my nephew noticed something moving in his salad after I looked we noticed it was a huge beetle. At that moment everyone was turned off from eating because a lot of us ordered salads or had lettuce in our meals. Asked for a manager and she was rude and unapologetic about the situation , stating their kitchen was clean and they wash their lettuce. The few bites everyone did have of their food before being completely disgusted was disappointing, no taste, mediocre food to say the least. After sometime we were told we could just leave. I will never return nor suggest this place to anyone. Not just because the bug but because of the management and how they treat their customers.

Visited on a Sunday at 1pm… Loved the ambiance, service was just ok, the food took a long time for basic menu items… had good flavour but was only room temperature 😢. Was not very happy even after feedback to server, nothing was offered or done about it

The sides were very good... club house was very good ... salad very fresh But the smoked meat sandwich totally missed the mark... the dejon mustard was not tasty and the meat was not smoked right . The price was fair but our server was new and inexperienced.

It was very busy around 1pm. The staff was friendly but we constantly waited. We waited 5min to be seated, waited 5-10 min for menus, waited 5-10 min for our drinks, then food came fairly quick. The food was good. Better than average and would recommend stopping in What blew our minds was that before we got our food, 3 couples were told it would be an hour and fifty min wait. However, there was an empty table in the corner for 4 and by the time we got our food tables were clearing out. Within 20 min of the first couple turned away (when there was an empty table) half the place was empty. Even with an open table, the bar was wide open and not given as an option to use it even wait for a table at. Prices are on par with being in the city.
