Their food is delicious and the service is awesome. Had their wings with old port “signature” sauce and they were soooo good. They have a really nice desert selection that I was pleasantly surprised with 👏

Me and my dad have been coming in pretty much every week for the past couple months and I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite restaurants. We have tried many of the different foods, but the quesadillas are by far my favorite! The atmosphere is very welcoming and I would like to give a shoutout to Jenn and her coworkers for always making our visits positive, between the fast and accurate service, as well as their overall personability. I am constantly referring the Old Port Pub & Grill to pretty much everyone I know and if there were a way to give more stars I would do it without question. Thank you for making my experience amazing!

First time there ever...we had chicken nachos and deep fried dill pickles... yummy... service was awesome...very quiet today as places are just now opening up..but will definitely return...do recommend.

Sat outside on the patio with our two dogs to avoid rush hour traffic. Staff were so kind and amazing, food was really delicious and they even brought our dogs their own bowl of water. Patio was surprisingly quiet with lovely greenery so you feel far away from where it is actually located. Definitely returning!!!!

Fantastic atmosphere, great service, and a solid menu. The items I've tried here have always been delicious, well cooked, and extremely flavorful. They have a lovely turkey dinner poutine that is one of my favorite takes on a poutine in Halifax. They also have a fantastic sauce (Old Port sauce) for their wings, which is sweet but not overpowering, absolutely fantastic!

Friendly staff. Ordered Turkey Dinner poutine. It came in a frying pan which is cool. Delicious food. Little pricey ($20+tip) but I will be back.

Not our first visit and definately won't be our last. The menu is diverse, the ambiance is relaxing, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. Brooke was our server today and she was superb! Fast and friendly service, which is always desirable, but Brooke went out of her way to find an answer to one of our questions. Thanks Brooke! You deserve a special thank you from management for going out of your way to make your customers visit a special one!

This place has been there for a long time and I am disappointed it took me so long to try it. The fish and chips are amazing!

Just not what it used to be. The food was just not very good and flavors didn't work. Service was friendly but was slow and terrible. It was like pulling teeth to try and order food or get a refill of water. Server was only interested in those at the table who had alcohol and I had to fight to get her attention while trying to keep my hungry toddler sane. She kept taking food orders in increments over there first hour we were there and she actually seemed surprised that I even wanted to order something to eat when I finally got her attention? When we finally got the food we weren't even given utensils to eat with until a while after we got our food and asked for them. We were a group of 8 there for a birthday and the restaurant was nearly empty and lots of staff around so not sure why everything was soo slow and painful.

Wing nights are the best every Thursday and Friday. The service is always great there but you can tell there is a staff shortage as wait times are a little bit longer than usual. Again the server and service is still fantastic. I love sitting on their patio during the summer. I know it says 4 stars but I would put it more around 4.5☆s

Better than average pub food. I have never had a bad meal. Service is top notch.

Someone should let The Old Port know that serving a grilled chicken sandwich with fried chicken thighs instead of breast meat is just wrong. Who does that!?? The green goddess sandwich came on focaccia bread the size of a dinner roll with two chunks of fatty chicken thighs. Couldn't even eat it. I know it's cheaper meat, but come on!

Recent experience was subpar compared to visits previously. The food was lacklustre however the service was incredible. The wings from wing night were obviously cooked quite early, the mozzarella sticks were quite expensive for the pre packaged taste and small size. The value for cost just doesn’t seem to go as far as it used to.

We went last night after Boston Pizzas wait time was too long. So glad we did! It was very busy, we were immediately greeted with smiles, the staff in general seemed so happy. The vibe was inviting. Our server was great, so friendly and genuine. Food was delicious. Thanks for the great night!!

Went for lunch. Staff was friendly and service was fast. If you like burgers, the old port burger is delicious. Prices comparable to other pub like locations.

Tried to eat there last nite when we arrived at 9 pm, desperate for a drink and good food. Doors were locked and the staff was at the bar drinking , hope it was worth it won’t recommend to anyone

Not my first time to the Pub usually everything is perfect, this time it was off, took 10 min to be acknowledge and be told will bring the menu over, another 5 min wait for the menu then got ask if I wanted something to drink decided with coffee, left the place after another 5 min with nothing. Was lunch time and the place wasn't busy staff more focus on chatting then serving, off course not all the staff. Very disappointed it is a stop for me everytime I come to NS for business = to once every week to 2 weeks.

Best fish and chips I've ever had! Excellent and speedy service. Clean establishment.

Fast friendly service. Clean, not to busy, even around 5-6pm. Food was good and beer cold.

Had to Check This Restaurant out after hearing Good things about it from friends. I Ordered Chicken Wings With the Old Port Sauce. Sauce was great, Friendly Service, Cold Beer, Clean establishment. But the portion of Wings I got was a bit Disapointing For the price. Most of the Wings Were Pretty Small and Didnt have much chicken on them, Which would of Been alright if it Was a Decent Sized Basket Full But it Wasnt. One of my Friends Ordered the Nachos And Was also Disapointed with the Portion Size. We were done eating Pretty Quick and Not Fully Satisfied Which Was a Bit of a Buzzkill as We were Pretty Hungry and had heard Alot of Good things. Would of Given 5 stars if Portions were worth the Price.

Be sure to try the old port sauce with your wings, it is good! Decent food, though I wish they made the simple things, such as their burger buns, a little more special

Were here for the first time and it was great. Food quality was excellent. Pub food but with an interesting flare. Loved the Coney Island Poutine. The meat sauce on it was so flavour full. The Outside In Burger was equally great. Service was friendly and welcoming. We were there for an early lunch on a Monday, so it was quiet. We will be back soon.

One of the more charming little pubs I’ve been to in the last couple years. Decent prices on food and drinks. Food is done pretty well, though not the absolute best quality you’ll ever get, and some recipes may seem a little off depending on where you usually eat. Appetizers we had were all excellent. Serving staff was also an absolute treat to chat with the last time I was here.

This place used to be a favourite spot for myself and many of my family members & friends. We used to love wing nights there until every single person had their share of food poisoning from the chicken wings not being cooked enough. The last time was the last straw for us. I thought my husband was over exaggerating that his wings were pink inside while he was eating them but after we left he was so sick I almost had to take him to the hospital. Not only are the chicken wings not safe to eat half the time, their soup has to be worst soup I’ve ever had AND it was cold when it came out! I would like to say the service is great & the vibe is very nice but nobody is going to keep going back if the food is unsafe to eat!!! That’s not right. You guys seriously need to step up your kitchen game for the health & safety of your customers. 10 regulars who will now never be back… :(
