We just had dinner as a family at Parkside and gosh, what a great time we had! The food was delicious - everything from the tater tots to the pulled pork and strawberry lemonade! The highlight for me was the smoked wings with Jack Daniels sauce we had as an appetizer… best wings I’ve eaten, hands down! My husband loved his ribs. And the portions were huge - we have enough left for lunch tomorrow! Thank you as well to our waitress - unfortunately I did not catch her name - for being so kind, funny and attentive! If we come back to Halifax we’ll eat there again for sure! ☺️

Today, March 24, 2023, we tried the Dutton Burger as part of Burger Bash. It was a very good burger topped with brisket and hickory sticks that rounded this off really well. Another great meal. How can I say this? The food was so good and attractive that we were halfway before I thought of taking a picture. We love Mic Mac bar and grill but this restaurant gives that one good run for its money. It was amazing that people, on a Friday night, were not lined up here. Not only was the food great, the service was also great, very friendly and helpful. I think this restaurant deserves much more attention. Certainly coming back.

Wow, The full rack of ribs is huge, and so delicious! Also tried the pulled pork and sausage, which were both amazing. Even the fries were great! Perfect spot for dinner with friends/family. Everyone was very happy with their meals!

A co-worker wanted me to go. I had never been there before and went with low expectations. I am happy to admit that I was wrong. I ordered the soup & sandwich, Rubin sandwich with some type of beef soup. Both were absolutely delicious. One of the best Rubin's I have ever had. The soup was a hot & sour flavour and had big hunks of beef. I really enjoyed both. The service was fast and the price reasonable. I highly recommend this place for lunch.

I had a wonderful time there this past Saturday night with my partner and his step sister. We had drinks and shared a little app. and dessert (nachos). We thought we were going for live music, but the show was actually a hypnotist. Such a fun time with many laughs and a wonderful server. We'll be back for sure!!

Absolutely fantastic! Love the service here, every time my love and I go the service is super friendly and kind, they also enjoy and join in on banter and such, making us feel welcome. The food is always good, I happen to be a picky eater as well so it’s always nice to actually enjoy eating out. The burgers typically take a little longer to come out but that’s fine, as long as you don’t mind waiting for perfection ✨ Parking is always easy and available as well. Overall 5/5 great place, will come here again!

Great food, great service. It was trivia night when I went, awesome fun! Your just a little extra, but the good is well worth it. Left full and with a to-go bag! I would recommend to anyone that's looking for some great pub food.

Pulled pork Mac and cheese with a side of Caesar salad and garlic bread. $20, very filling and great tasting.

The pulled pork sandwich is awesome! Also we had the greatest server ever. My 6yo son asked for a kids menu word search and they didn’t really have that there. Our server gave him a full colouring book and then proceed to create a word search by hand for him to do. I really couldn’t believe that she did that for him. What a great place!

Wow! This place sure has changed since it was just the old Parkside Pub. The addition of the smokehouse is definitely a game changer. We started with the candied pork belly, which was absolutely delicious, 100% recommend! For entrees I had the "pick 2" sampler platter which consisted of a slab of brisket, 2 smoked sausages, fries and corn bread. The fries were great quality and perfectly seasoned, the cornbread was tasty and moist and the sausages were top notch. The brisket was fork tender with a nice flavorful crust, although it was a bit on the dry side. My fiancee had the pulled pork mac and cheese, which is a nice entree size. It was nice and heavy on the cheese (great cheese pulls!) and the pulled pork was very tasty. Although the sauce component would benefit from some additional seasoning. The service was fantastic, our waitress was friendly, engaging and attentive and the atmosphere is a laid back sports bar vibe, but with a killer BBQ menu! Will definitely be back.

Great food but best to arrive well before the DJ. Seated in the furthest possible seat, the bass was so overdone that you couldn't identify the song being played without looking at the video screen. Our fault for coming late after 8pm I guess. 😊

I went for a comedy event and had a great experience with two of the barkeeps, just so easy-going and great with the service. Attention to detail is rare these days and I noticed it in this environment, thanks very much and I’ll be back.

Always a great experience! We were seated right away and given options since I had my baby and stroller with me! There were lots of people and our server was clearly busy but she was still incredibly attentive to our whole party! We even added another person after we had ordered and she still made sure all our food came out together! Very impressed!

When you get to the door, you can smell what's coming up on the plates. Modern clean look inside with lots of seating. Cushioned benches and stools with high tables and booths. It was seat yourself when we went in for a party of three. Menu is a double sided large format. Pastas, fish n chips, appetizers and a fresh smoked pulled pork club sandwich. The chocolate cake to end it off. Staff was quick and friendly. Thanks Lorraine.

Service was decent however we went on a night where there was trivia so we were not a priority at all. Just got way too busy in the rest of the establishment. No one ever came back to see if I needed another water which seems to have died in most restaurants. The food for the most part was delicious. I made plans with friends to go here in the near future as I really enjoyed the smokehouse club. I definitely recommend trying it for yourself.

I had the buttermilk chicken sandwich with onion rings. 27$ It’s a middle of the road burger where I Would say the chicken was the best part. BUT. It didn’t cover the entire bun and overall was just lacking flavour. The onion rings were also very basic For 27$. I’d expect more The staff and vibe is awesome for a beer and I’ve been told the bbq is great.

The Parkside pub is a hidden local gem. It never disappoints. The BBQ is authentic and tasty and the staff are the best in the city. Prices are very reasonable as well! Wings and thunder mugs on Thursdays just cannot be beat!!

It was nice and cozy pub. Food was not too bad. Impressed of our server (sorry for not remembering her name) who pretty tried her effort to communicate with us as her body gesture. Easy to understand. Thank you! Glad that the hostee picked a table for us at right place for our "true" Deaf Culture at bright area where we can see our ASL, not other little dark area at tables. Thank you again!👍🏽

We really enjoyed the Family BBQ meal! We also ordered candied pork belly on the side but it was burnt and dry. Looking forward to trying it again as I heard great things from friends. Cornbread, coleslaw, beans, sausage, brisket, ribs, pulled pork was all excellent!! Fries were yummy.

My first visit here - I am sorry we waited so long to visit! Delicious pulled pork, brisket, burger, chicken fingers, hand-cut fries, cornbread and so much more... you will not leave here hungry! Super-friendly and helpful staff who will also tempt you with their homemade desserts (the coconut cream tart, which we ate 6 hours after our mid-afternoon lunch, was to freaking die for!). We will be back soon to try more on the menu!

Enjoyed the full rack of ribs and red draft. Found food a little on the salty side and very crowded on the Thursday night. Must have been the wing special which also tried two flavours. Would go back again to sample other dishes.

A nice casual restaurant with good pub food and smoke meats. In addition there is a good selection of local beer. We arrived at the end of the evening but we were not rushed to order or hurried through our meal. The owner was friendly and took his time to provide extra information on the menu items and beers on tap. The smoke menu items and burgers are very good. Portions are large and we were offered containers to takeaway our leftovers. The restaurant also has a patio, if you prefer the out of doors. You won't regret visiting!

I love brisket and everything smoked, this place is top notch with the service and the food. The brisket was some of the best brisket I tasted, the burnt ends were out of this world, and I have no words for the wings 🤤. Next time I am in town I’ll be heading over to park side for a meal for sure.
