A great place to go for a walk or run, people bring their dogs. Alot of parking, bathrooms by the parking lot. The area very clean, alot of ducks to be seen. Small kids would love walking out on the docks.

A little spot to learn about the history of the Shubie Canal while you are visiting the park. Some of the explanations are a bit technical, but still work checking out. The surrounding area has tables, bathrooms and a little taco stand. And, of course, the park.

Paddling through the Deep Cut (section of canal next to the Fairbanks Center) is one of the most enjoyable things you can do for yourself. Rent a canoe or kayak and see for yourself!

Great trails and scenery. Beautiful facilities as well. Dartmouth home of the amazing Adventure Earth Centre. Great place for a family outing or day of hiking or kayaking.

Nice centre, certainly now that there is a little concession stand. The trails are very nice and explain the history of the locks. The river is cool too and is a very nice little ride in your kayak or canoe and links to a lake Charles.

So much to explore, serene for walking. If you have a dog, there is a large leash free area but this does not interfere with the canal trail if that is your preference. It is also bike friendly in many areas. I love the little beaches, and wish I had a kayak🚣
