We stayed for two nights. The hotel management did not inform us there were two events happening at the same time so when we went out during the day and came back in the middle of the day, there were no parking spots. This is an important detail the management should mention so that we can fix our schedule accordingly. The breakfast both days was incredibly poor, they do not refill when something runs out. The rooms are average. The only two good things is the friendly staff at reception and the view.

This is a review of their restaurant experience. We had tourists with us and had lunch. Pros: • Great view overlooking the hills of El Chouf. • A beautiful place with traditional looks that’s well maintained. • Reasonable prices. Cons: • Terrible service. • Average food. Personal experience: Waiters rarely were present near the table. We ordered two hamburgers and served us only one because they ran out of beef. They never bothered to tell us after we made the order and no one apologized. They just waited to see our reactions and what we’ll do, hoping we won’t get mad. We when asked for the bill, they didn’t clean the table.

Going to a good restaurant with good food and good service is something. But going to a Restaurant where everything is PERFECT is a unique and rare experience specially with a party of 15 each coming from a different background ( Middle Eastern, European, American) and having them all praising the place. From the moment you step in to this historic place you feel the uniqueness of it. But you think it's just another restaurant. Well it's not. It's a Perfect restaurant that leaves you with a Zero Complaint Experience. The Food was amazing, The quantity was over whelming, the service was amazing and the price compared to quality, quantity and the service is nothing. Not to mention the Location and the view. Waw... Will definitely go back.

They have a receptionist unprofessional I talked to her on Monday asking her about quotation for lunch for 30 ppl she said that she will send an event request template sheet to fill it and send it back to her. I sent the sheet today and I called her saying that i need the quotation because its a short time and I have to check if it fits my budget or not because almost the venues in this period are fully booked she said yes will tell the sales manager and she closed the line. after that she text me over WhatsApp saying would you mind zoom meeting I said no, she said that the sales manager available on Sunday between 12 and 6! weird I only wanted to know how much the cost per person and I don't think it takes time to reply on that till Sunday and bi kel wa2eha she said AS YOU WISH and AS YOU LIKE when I said that I can't wait till Sunday. At least say that you will do your best to send it asap msh eno we are very busy and we have a lot of weddings etc.. UNPROFESSIONAL TEAM.

We stayed one night at Deir al Oumara. The hotel looked very nice from outside and inside. Rooms are nice but they need an upgrade specially the duvet cover should be bigger than the bed size (queen) and the washrooms. The tub should have more cover because when you take a shower, water will run in the washroom through the room also. As for the breakfast, according to the hotel description, it should be more rich: more varieties such as different types of egg dishes, knefe, better quality of manakeesh and more varieties of juice and more.

We stayed here for one night. The room was great, clean, and spacious. It had a master bedroom on the main floor and 2 beds on the second floor. Breakfast was good. My only small complaint would be about the road leading to the place. It is a bit tight and could be confusing, but it is part of the experience of being in an old lebanese village.

A beautiful building with incredible views in a quaint village rich with history and intrigue. However, the standard of the hotel facilities and service were very poor - rooms badly designed and lacking features expected of this hotel (i.e. power points, AC, curtains) and service incredibly slow (i.e. rooms not ready on time, breakfast started late etc.). So much potential, but the hotel and service levels expected require a major investment and overhaul.

A very authentic and well preserved historic place, amazing view to the valley. We stayed for one night in a standard room, it was big enough, clean and organized, the stuff are very friendly. The breakfast is a traditional Lebanese food. Overall a great experience, well recommended

I stayed with my family at the hotel for one night and we all wished we can stay more... We all agreed that it deserves 5 stars... The hotel has a good view and a good location as well, the rooms are amazing and clean and big, the food was like... WOW... and very generous (believe me we tried many hotel's restaurants and they had bad food and not generous at all) ... The staff always smiling and helpful, and Mme Boustani a nice sociable lady who cares about her clients... It was a good choice for us 💜

A beautiful historical place that is well preserved, yet poorly managed. I am from Deir El Qamar and I have the family house to stay in, yet I chose to stay at a place I always mention to my friends who are coming to the area. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The room that was booked for us overlooks the operations area where all the team's talks and discussions happen, hence we could hear everything. The food was good but the service was poor, especially in the morning during breakfast. The hotel literally RAN OUT of water, without a backup plan, to the point that we couldn't shower and not even use the bathroom. We left around 10 AM and the problem was not fixed yet, even though we were informed that we could check out late at 2 PM instead of 12 PM.. Not really helpful when you have a planned day. In brief, the value is not worth the paid amount, unfortunately.

For 150$ / night I expect being able to have more than 2 eggs on breakfast and the ability to wash my self properly, there is no shattaf in the bathrooms ! Also we should be informed that there will be a wedding and will not be able to sleep before 1 am.

Restaurant Experience: A beautiful historic place infused with Lebanese culture with a very nice view of green mountains and valleys. The food was really good and well presented. The cheese rolls and ghazel al shabab were the highlights of the lunch. All the staff, from the parking guy to the receptionist, the waiters, the owner, everyone was really nice and welcoming with a smile.

We celebrated our wedding there and stayed for two nights with many of our guests. And we absolutely loved everything about it. First of all, the management team is very professional. Paula peovided an amazing support, a lot of transparency and showed availability and patience. She answered to all of our questions clearly and delivered to all of her promises. It was very easy to work with her and definitely made this hectic day easier. We heard amazing feedback from our guests regarding the hotel. They found the hotel very charming with a breathtaking panorama. The breakfast is traditional Lebanese, it was very healthy and diverse. The team was very supportive to provide us proper coffee (not nescafe) and the next day the Arabic coffee was already part of the breakfast buffet. Very swift improvement. We also had dinner at the hotel and that was a real treat. The dishes were diverse, generous and with the right portions so we don't leave behind leftovers. Overall, it is a five stars rating from me. Thank you Der El Oumara for these unforgettable memories and the amazing experience.

A beautiful place, well preserved with a nice view and good food. Unfortunately we had a bad experience especially related to the service. 1- We reserved a beautiful room but the door wasn't locking so they changed our room and gave us a "free upgrade" that turned out a downgrade. 2- The room they gave us was great (all rooms are well done, spacious and clean) but the problem was in its location. We couldn't really open the 2 windows we had in the room since one of them was next to the hallway where everyone passes by so no privacy whatsoever, and the other window was right above the restaurant's kitchen, meaning noises all the time (late night and early morning). It's fine in winter but in summer there are no ACs which means you have to open the windows (there's a fan you can use but it's not ideal) 3- The new room they gave us didn't have towels so we asked for a set that they brought 30 minutes later! That's how slow the service can be sometimes. 4- We went out and came back to the hotel late at night, but the hotel was closed. We had to knock on the main door for some time until someone came and opened the door for us thinking all of their guests are at the hotel. I still encourage people to go because it's a a beautiful experience and a great place to disconnect with nature architecture and history. It's just our experience was bad but others was good Just don't take any of the rooms that are on the first floor and especially near the restaurant's kitchen.

We did our wedding there and everything was amazing! The hotel is very authentic and the team members were very helpful. They did a great job coordinating with the suppliers and making sure that everything was on point. They did the catering as well and the food was sufficient and delicious.
