So, we decided to try some DenvMex food (Mexican food in DT Denver). Being used to TexMex food, we wanted to give it a try. Our rule of thumb is that most hidden restaurants are sometimes the best. After passing other nearby restaurants, we beelined down the stairs, off the main street for a margarita and an appetizer. We're opted for the shredded chicken nachos, which we were told would be piled high, beef enchiladas, and a strawberry margarita. Delicious! Diego's DenvTex certainly has flavor, and the restaurant has ambience. They have a salsa bar, with the dining and bar area abound with multiple TVs for sports entertainment. The staff are very friendly. A great restaurant off 16th St in downtown Denver.

Average Mexican restaurant. Props to the guy who was being a host and also a waiter at the same time I was impressed. He was a nice guy too. Surprised how quiet it was on St. Patrick's day. Think it's ridiculous how they charge you for a tiny second bowl of chips. I would say the thing I really only liked the most is how great the customer service is here. The food is overpriced and not that special. You can go outside of downtown and get better food for way less. You are paying for the downtown area, not the quality of the food.

Very cozy restaurant with fast service and great tasting Mexican food. I recommend the nachos because its a giant mountain of food for up to 3 people. Beef enchiladas are really good with red sauce. Very comfortable booth seating. Great margaritas.

Great food. Good service. A lot of authentic dishes. Lots of options. I definitely recommend this place! Sadly the only pic I took was us half way through devouring this meal like hungry hungry hippo. Still posting it though! Boom!

Food wasn't spectacular. The cheese enchilada was hard and the sauce was on the bland side. The server tried to fix our wobbly table and moved us to another when he wasn't able to get it stabilized. We didn't see much of him after that, but in his defense, the place was slammed for the lunch rush. I'd say if you're in the market for good Tex-Mex, look harder.

Was a good way to start our Friday night with the $5 margs, chips and salsa and good company.

Great service, great food and a wide selection of tequila. I recommend the carnitas they are tasty. I did think the $8 shot of tequila was a bit steep but i'd still go back for the food.

Not crowded, authentic food. It's a little pricey for what it is but I understand it's in the tourist area. Their drinks are delicious. Would definitely come back.

Me and my wife went here in the early afternoon. To say the food was great is an understatement! Had their famous Diego burger, it was so delicious. Definitely a must try.

I went with a group of over 15 friends and our waitress hit it out of the park. Each order was correct and our drinks stayed filled. The food came out hot and my fajita trio came out sizzling and perfect. The chips and salsa bar did not disappoint. For a modestly priced Mexican it is 5 stars.
