I will never understand restaurants that insist in participating in Restaurant Week when they can’t staff properly. We waited 30 min to get our drinks which we ordered 2 times, one via manager and one via stand in help because our server was unavailable. They did comp them but they came out when we were halfway done with our appetizers. The hummus only comes with one pita. When we ordered a second it took another 10 min to come out and we were also told “yeah one is not enough” - so then why do you serve it that way? My husband’s flank steak was under-seasoned and also cost $39 for one of the least expensive cuts of meat. My wood fired carrots were pretty good. I wouldn’t ever come back here due to the horrendously slow and inattentive service. Food was fine but not worth the 35 min drive. Get some Little Sesame hummus (authentic Israeli) from Sprouts and you’ll have yourself a better time.

The carrot dish is my absolute favorite!! Labneh on the bottom, apricots, carrots, nuts, so fricken good!! I’m going to make it at home for the next dinner party I go to. Bartenders were super friendly and down to earth, really great middle eastern vibes and aesthetics. I’ll be back 😊 and the BROWNIE is worth all of the calories!!! I promise

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the food was delicious. We went during happy hour and the prices were pretty reasonable. The pita was absolutely delicious and was served nice and hot with a nice portion of hummus. Waited till 5 and ordered the beef tagine, and although it was 58 dollars, it was a fair price as the portion was large and could be shared amongst 3 people. It's definitely worth a visit ☺️

The food here all tastes good but unfortunately the ratio of portions to price is way off. The portions are tiny even if the dishes weren't supposed to be sharable. The hummus only comes with one piece of pita. The plates were semi reasonable in portions but the mezze are all incredibly small. $5 gets you four pieces of roasted unseasoned cauliflower. Aside from that, the service is not excellent and the vibe of the restaurant is lively.

Everything we ordered is delicious. The dip for the fries is to die for. Plus the restaurant is pretty and well decorated. A good date spot

STEVEN! Steven, amazing recommendations 👏 never had Mediterranean food before and your recommendations when I was looking for a "Shwarma" were SPOT..freaking..ON! This was by far the best restaurant experience I have had with my wife in a good while! Spectacular food, wine, dessert, beer. Thank you and, WE WILL BE BACK (Schwarzenegger voice) 😉 😀 Amazing menus

This place was recommended to us by a chef friend who also recommended Senor Bear next door, which we also love! This was our first time here and it was absolutely amazing! From the staff to the food everything was fantastic. We really enjoyed the hummus with the mushroom concerva, this was recommended by our server. It was to die for! I could have eaten plate after plate of it! If you like hummus you’ll love this! I recommend a second pita bread if you’re a lighter dipper. The drinks were all very good. I don’t think you could go wrong with any choice you make there. We got falafel, first time for my partner, it was my least favorite of our dishes, but I’ve never liked it much to begin with. The saganaki was delicious and stingy. We ordered the steak and the flavor was amazing! I don’t even need the accompaniments, just the steak and the sauce! We then followed up our giant meal with the honey cake and the baklava. Honestly, just go with the baklava. They are both good desserts in their own right, but something about the baklava just wraps it up right!!!

While visiting the in-laws a few weeks ago, we decided to check out Ash’Kara one day for lunch. Israeli/middle eastern cuisine happens to be one of my absolute favorites and this place had great reviews. We liked the simplicity of the menu and we liked the interior design of the place itself. Service was also great, attentive and accommodating especially with two young kids. The food, however, was rather disappointing, except for the hummus and pita chips. I had the chicken shawarma bowl and my partner had the fattoush salad with added falafel. The salad felt overall sparse, and my shawarma bowl was not anything I expected of a chicken shawarma. It lacked those shawarma spices and juiciness in the chicken I’ve gotten so used to eating. If anything, the only flavorful thing was the spiced rice. Overall, not the worst food we’ve had, and the awesome staff made up for the lackluster food itself. However, in my opinion, the reviews def do not live up to the actual food served.

This is a truly incredible version of modern Tel Aviv cuisine. They strike a real balance between telavivian fusion of street food and fine cuisine. Great work and a place we keep coming back for more

Such a cute spot for date night or a cozy hangout! The interior and ambiance is colorful, playful, and sophisticated. Akin to their sister restaurant Senor Bear. This is more of a family style eating establishment (the best way to eat.) So order variety & share! Their hummus was smooth & delicious paired with the mushroom converva. We also enjoyed all their dips & the za’atar fries!! So good. Their lamb kofte was flavorful and juicy. We had their braised beef however felt that value wise & overall as a dish, it wasn’t particularly special. Especially after enjoying the dips & other small plates. Overall, the dips, sides & appetizers are the best items to get a lot of for sharing, with the best value & packed full of good flavor. Staff are wonderful, attentive, and welcoming. They already put in a service fee that is shared by kitchen and all staff, which I like! Overall an excellent neighborhood spot that is open long enough for some cozy late night bites.

Really good, sharable food--a great recommendation by our waitress to do a family-style meal! Everything was seasoned well and the texture was fantastic. We ordered hummus with cauliflower shawarma and falafels as a starter, oven roasted carrots as a first course, and shared an eggplant tagine. Plenty for 3 people with leftovers. A bit pricey since we did not go during happy hour, but the food definitely did not disappoint.

I’m amazed with how delicious their pita bread is. I found the Tagines to be affordable because of the large portion that can easily be shared for two. They even recommend you share this dish with one other person. The outdoor seating area looks wonderful.

Outstanding food- thoughtful hostess and staff who adjusted for our requests of tables, made great recommendations for our food quantity and service one pairing and provided outstanding service. The food was incredibly delicious, flavorful, and a variety of fresh unique ingredients.

Quick service. Good cocktails. Coffee was okay. Good was really good. Pita was fresh and huge. Tagine was good. We had the chicken and it fell off the bone. Baklava was a great portion and very sweet.

The tagine dish definitely gets some Moroccan vibe and we love how rich the broth is. And seriously, the best pita in town "for real" - it just goes with everything.

Fantastic small plates which combined together make a lovely meal for two. We had hummus, baba ganoush, chicken schwarma, marinated feta, and tabouli. The server was nice and outdoors on a nice night was perfect.

After having two very good dinners here, it was time to try brunch. Joined by a friend who had never visited before, we’re already making plans to return. Started off with the delicious Muhammara dip served with their amazing pita bread. The Cured Salmon Flatbread was wonderful and my friend was delighted with the Breakfast Pita Sandwich. Great vibe and atmosphere along with very friendly and welcoming service.

Went here for happy hour and had a great time! Great hummus and pita, great falafel, and the lamb Kafka was interesting! The cocktails were few but good, and beer options were very limited. The fries and sauce (I forget what sauce it was) was incredible!
