Our first time here was 2013! We have been coming back to this spot for 10 years! The quality, flavor and service is still the best. Thank you for keeping with tradition and building on the great foundation of traditional Indian food.

Truly a unique atmosphere with friendly employees and servers. It felt so nice to be greeted and served by people with a smile. The cuisine is delicious, authentic, and fast. A special place in the warmer months due to outdoor seating in their relaxing garden patio. An equally special place during the colder months because you feel like you’re in a cozy Himalayan yurt. Always look forward to dinners here. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful surprise! I was looking for a good place for soup for dinner 🥘 when this came up. I arrived early, around 6pm with plenty of seating available. Decided to seat at the bar since it was a solo dine. My stew was delicious 😋 the broth was so flavorful. They asked the level of spicy, as I do mild for my good. It had a little kick but nothing the Naam couldn’t handle. As I was enjoying my dinner, people never stopped coming. I left around 7pm and the place was packed and a long line outside. I’ll be back to try the other items! So good!

I ate here a year ago and couldn’t wait to back. The place is breathtaking and the food is fantastic. I got the vegetarian sampler and the saag paneer, aloo gobi, and naan are so very flavorful and unique. Recommend!

One of the finest Nepali meals I've had since I arrived in the states years ago. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort Nepali food and a place reminiscent of a nepali household. It even has a cute visitor center for souvenir and clothes.

We stopped here before leaving CO because I was missing home food and Sherpa House hands down have the most authentic Nepalese taste compared to any of the Nepalese restaurants I have tried in the US. The staffs were all so friendly and the atmosphere reminds you of home. They even have a cute little souvenir store with so many amazing grabs. This place is a gem and I would love to visit them again.

So happy I stopped here before leaving town. Nice and unique dining experience. The vegetable momo dumplings were very good and the tomato-based sauce put them over the top. It was tough to decide on an entree so I opted for the sampler. Of everything in the sampler the tikka masala and lamb curry were my favorites. The onion naan is also something to note. Hands down some of the best naan I've had.

This place was highly recommended by my friend, and I wish I visited this place sooner. The food was so delicious that I was focused on eating than taking the food photos. We came here during weekday for lunch. You can choose buffet or ordering from menu. Since it’s our first time, we decided to try the buffet, and it was a great decision - everything was delicious! This was my first Nepalese food, so I can’t say it is authentic or not. I would say it’s similar to non-spicy Indian food. If you like Indian food, you should give this place a try! In addition, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, a very nice restaurant. You will have great food and experience for sure! The restaurant does have some parking, probably around 6 to 8 parking spots. Since it’s a popular restaurant (no matter it’s lunch or dinner times), you will probably end up with street parking like me. Parking can get challenged here. Overall, it’s a great place for lunch or dinner, date nights, or family gathering. Highly recommended this place!

Really authentic and flavorful food - went here visiting Colorado school of mines and it's definitely a great college restaurant. Big portions, food was pretty good, but I didn't enjoy the noodle soup and the naan was okay. Really loved the samosas and other appetizers, alongside the lentil soup!

Dining was in the outdoor courtyard area, with lots of plants, overhead prayer flags and a couple of water features. It was really neat to see the cultural center parts that were open. Delicious delicious food and beer brewed! Could be a great chill family dinner or a cute date night spot. Highly recommend!

Call ahead of time to make a reservation! The atmosphere and decor of this place is outstanding - each room is unique. The service staff, though a little difficult to understand sometimes, are very friendly and cordial. The food matches the taste and quality of some of the best Indian-style food I've had so far. And, their birthday celebration for patrons is wonderful and different than any other we've been a part of! The only gripe I have is parking can be challenging. Otherwise, we definitely plan to come back!

We went on a Sunday night and had a 20 minute wait. The waitress was very quick and we ordered a few minutes after being seated. We chose the appetizer platter and the house sampler. To our surprise we received our food in about 5 minutes. The food was good but nothing incredible.

Delicious food and excellent service to go with the unique environment. 100% recommend if you’re in Colorado. Being a Sherpa myself and someone who grew up in Nepal, I can easily say it’s one of the best Nepali restaurants I have visited in the states. You cannot get any closer to home cooked meal than this. I was really happy to see authentic Sherpa and Nepali culture in display. The owners have put a lot of effort to put together this place that closely resembles homes of the Sherpas in the Himalayas. Definitely will visit again when I am back in town!

The service was really fast and the food was amazing. It was well priced and the Sherpa house sampler non vegetarian was the perfect amount of food for two. The atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming. I also loved the cute little shop.

Some of the best Indian / Nepalese food I've ever had. Will definitely come back to this place because it was super cute and because they had their own beers.

Got the sampler platter and it was amazing. Some of the best food that we’ve had. It was packed with flavour but not super heavy. We loved that it was a variety of food to try. The Sherpa house sampler was more than enough for 2 of us (we had leftovers). The chai was also really great.

Run, don't walk! 🤤 First time visiting the Denver area and decided to stop at Sherpa House upon looking at their menu and doing some swift research. As someone who has an affinity for Middle Eastern cuisine, I must say this establishment exceeded my already mile high expectations with nothing short of an immersive experience. I ordered one of their beers and the sherpa stew with yak and chicken. The portion sizes were gratuitous and spice levels on point, which they inquired about upon ordering. The only disappointment was that I only had one stomach 😔 I give this spot 6 out of 5 stars and it was a tremendous value 🙏

Yelp reservation for me an my Wife. Incredible service and wonderful ambiance. The food outshined all of that. Beautiful presentation, delicious and quickly served. The smell is so pleasant in the courtyard underneath the mulberry tree. We had several berries fall on us during the meal which was absolutely delightful.

Always my go-to when friends are visiting from out of town and they have all loved Sherpa House. The food is consistently amazing and the atmosphere can't be beat. Reserving a table a day or two ahead of time is a must. I have not been disappointed by anything I've tried there; though my top picks are the yak stew and the vindaloo curry.

Sherpa House is one of our local favorite restaurants. The service is always really friendly and comes prompt and with a genuine smile. The outdoor patio is great in the summer but the main building is pretty cool filled with all kinds of Sherpa-related things to look at during your visit. The food is consistently great - some of our favorites are the tikka masala and the vegetarian dishes. We bring all of out of town guests here and noted it was especially great for gluten-free options - at least half, if not more of the menu is gluten free, including the curries! The wait can be long right during the dinner rush on key days ( Thursday-Saturday), but it's worth the wait and a good time to walk along main street in Golden. Looks like they're working on a huge bar expansion in the back as well, which will be a great addition. It's definitely worth a visit!

I have always had a good experience with Sherpa house. I’ve been getting most of my orders take out recently. I love that the bring it to your car. However when I got home I realized it was the wrong order. In part, it was due to my error because I didn’t look at the last name. The orders at the same first name. However, they were very accommodating and didn’t charge me.

Wow, this restaurant, which was already amazing when I was here eight years ago, has really gone over the top! They expanded, and now they have an extensive gift shop, a huge outside seating area, and so many more dining tables. It’s absolutely huge now! The decor is fabulous. and not to mention the food which is simply divine. Service was great and the staff was wonderful. There is a little bit of a wait to get seated outside, but it was worth it to be underneath the trees with all of the prayer flags. We had the vegetarian sampler platter, the appetizer sampler, the beef makhani, the dumplings… Everything was perfect. The portions are very generous as well.

A lovely atmosphere and scrumptious food. book a reservation, especially if you’re coming for dinner on a weekend. service is fast and you pay with a card reader at your table. We just flew into town and this was the perfect place to eat and relax to end our day. Mellow vibes, perfect music, kind service and phenomenal food. Ordered a Dark Chai (cocktail), Appetizer platter, 2 ordered of naan bread, Mahkana Chicken and the Lamb Vindaloo. Came to $89 after tip.

This is one of the best dinner spots in Colorado. The food was so yummy. My server was very friendly and recommended some amazing dishes. Love how they have incorporated the cultural ambience.

Truly beautiful setting. You feel immediately relaxed from the moment you enter. The food is fresh and perfectly spiced. The chicken curry was very good and lots of it. The non-veg sampler dinner for one could easily feed 2 people. They have a small shop with handicrafts that you should check out. Though Sherpa House is an hour from our home, we can't wait to return.

I’ve never had Nepalese food but oh man… will I come back here every week. Place smells amazing, food came out insanely fast, flavors were to die for, everything was great. Such an inconspicuous house but as soon as you walk in you’re transported. It was so hard to not just devour everything immediately. The cheese filled naan was a first and I could’ve eaten my weight in the tikka masala.

Delicious food, loads of vegetarian options. The servers are friendly and helpful. It can get busy during the evening rush hour so plan ahead. Absolutely love the ambience here. The new bar room is a delight.

We were there Saturday around noon. It was already busy, but we only had to wait about 30 minutes. They were out of a few things we wanted, and the waiter was efficient, but not friendly. Nevertheless, the food was good and we loved the patio. It was peaceful.

  • 5/5 John S. 1 year ago on Google
Super cool spot with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area was like a patio between the restaurant and gift shop. Lots of vegetation, lights, prayer flags. Really laid back area. The Nepalese fare was great although I’ve never tried it before. I would easily confuse it with Indian food. Delicious! Try the Sherpa Brewery beers too!

Fun adventure and you don’t have to go far away to experience a meal whose origin is half way around the world. You start with a visual journey and end with a feast of Napali cuisine. Great service and generous offerings make this a Golden treasure.

  • 2/5 P L. 1 year ago on Google
This is a beautiful restaurant and cultural center, with tasteful design in both indoor and outdoor spaces. The food, however, was very bland and disappointing. It was the most bare-minimum representation of Nepalese food I've ever had. I had high hopes for this place after the overwhelmingly positive reviews and even a friend's recommendation. There are much stronger offerings elsewhere in Denver. We ordered veggie momos, and the cold sauce threw me off. The cucumber and carrot on the side were also a bit wilted. Then our veggie sampler plates came out, and I honestly have had better buffet food. None of the dishes stood out, it was like they halfheartedly threw some veggies and masala into a pot to fool white people who don't know any better. My saag paneer didn't even have paneer in it, it had chickpeas instead. They basically had to redo my friend's plate because she had ordered lactose free, and it was half right, but they didn't fix the remaining dishes until the food was already delivered. All the staff were courteous, welcoming, and accommodating. We just had a poor experience with the food and wish it lived up to the hype.

  • 2/5 Sean H. 1 year ago on Google
Really awesome place! Unfortunately, my order was short changed and cold. I have a feeling my food had been sitting out for 45 minutes on their counter by the front door. I was quoted 1hr pickup with my web order and arrived accordingly. Other online orders sitting on the counter were also quoted 1hr but were already sitting there with 45 minutes until the quoted pickup time. Many items were no longer warm in my order. Furthermore, one of the appetizers and entree were barely filled in the container. See photos below..

  • 4/5 MK M. 1 year ago on Google
The atmosphere was a nice touch. We were a little thrown off to country music playing in a Nepal restaurant, We would have loved to hear more cultural setting music more quietly played. You scan a menu and order your drinks and food.. We booked on line one week in advance which is recommended because they get busy! The food was good it was overall a good experience. We had the combination plates that were recommended as well as the dumplings.

The ambiance was so nice outside. Great patio. Very shaded. The staff is so helpful and they all work together. We got the buffett which was only $15/person. It was good. I have had better Indian food which is my only reason for 4 stars. But it was still very tasty.

We were planning on celebrating a birthday with food from the Sherpa house on Jan 2nd. On their website it says you can order food up to 5 days ahead. So we ordered 1 day early on Jan 1st. The website said our food would be ready at 5:40 for pickup on Jan 2nd, which was perfect...but when we went to pick it up it was not ready. The cooks made the food on Jan 1st instead. We had to wait for 20 minutes for our food to be made fresh. We were told that we should order the food the day that we need it and not ahead of time. We would have given them 5 stars if we would have known to order the day of.

I have been coming to Sherpa House for many years, and the quality of the hospitality and food cannot be beat! The Sherpa fam will treat you like family and the meals are all so delicious, fresh and super authentic. On your first visit I urge you to get the Sherpa sampler, both non vegetarian and vegetarian are great. The Sampler for two is a fantastic dinner! This way you get a little taste of a lot of different dishes. Once you become a pro Sherpa House eater like me, you’ll still want to get the sampler from time to time (or all the time!) All the appetizers are FIRE but you must try the momos - scrumptious curried dumplings. The fried chicken momos are also very good. The rice pudding is flavorful and divine, and if you’re like me and like your cuisine spicy, you’re going to enjoy the cooking factor of the pudding. Make sure to try some of their own Sherpa beers and enjoy the beautiful outdoor space!! (Don’t worry, take out is just as tasty, especially during the pandemic).

One of the best overall experiences I have ever had. The food was incredible: well balanced heat level, robust use of spices, textures were on point. We tried the yak stew and lamb Mahkani. Both were unforgettable. We also ordered dumplings which were juicy and flavorful (I preferred the veggie ones). We went on a Sunday and service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend trying if you want authentic Nepalese and Tibetian food.

I love eating here, but it isn't always the best when you have to come back for a missing item. I would give a 5 star for their food because their food is amazing, I got a masala paneer and my friend had a chicken something. We were only missing our mango lassi which we came back for, but would have been nice to have the first time around. They were patient with us as our first payment method failed and gave our lassi when we returned. I'll be sure to double check my order before stepping out in the future.

We ordered from here for pickup after seeing the great reviews and hearing great things from others in the area and it was a disappointing experience. When we showed up about 5 minutes ahead of our scheduled pick up time our food was already out and getting cold. The food lacked flavor, everything was either bland or over salted. Some of the rice we received was not cooked all the way through while the chicken and lamb were over cooked and dry even in the curry. Rated 2 stars because it was edible but not worth even saving left overs to have again.

  • 5/5 Doctor B. 3 years ago on Google
What a phenomenal experience that was. They took plenty of precautions for covid which was great. But the food was simply the star of the show. Chicken noodle soup was delightful in the cold (we sat outside). I had the Asian mojito which was just ok, could have been stronger :) Our friends had the dumplings which we got to try and they were a win. Mains included the yak saag and lamb sizzler for me and my wife. Just great! We had garlic naan which I loved. My friends had the sampler and chow mein which they also really spoke highly of.

My husband and I recently hosted our welcome dinner for our wedding weekend at the Sherpa House. It was truly such a wonderful night - the staff was kind and hospitable, the food was so great and we received lots of compliments, and the atmosphere was so special and unique. We spoke with the manager, Mando, leading up to our event, and she was so kind, receptive and ensured everything ran smoothly night-of. At the end of our dinner, the staff surprised us with a special Nepalese tradition that stands for love and prosperity. I wish we could do it all over again - it was truly such a special night!! Thank you so much to everyone at the Sherpa House for giving us a night we’ll always remember.

Wow. This place was amazing before the pandemic, favorite daal soup ever. But they have been truly exceptional when faced with these kinds of obstacles. I have ordered from them three times this month, and they are courteous, contact free, fast, efficient and I have yet to receive any styrofoam packaging from them. It is everything to me to still be able to get my favorite Indian food (shrimp makhani, lamb vindaloo anyone?!) during this very strange year. Must go.

We ordered Veg Momos and Veg Chowmein. It literally took back to the streets of India. It was the best momos and chowmein I ever had here in the US. Flavors were well all well balanced. If anybody is visiting this place, an order of momos is a must. Love it and would definitely come back..
