I stopped in for a weekday lunch. The place was not crowded. I was greeted immediately and seated. They brought our papadums while I looked over the menu. I ordered the chicken vindaloo medium slickness. The portion size was great, the flavor was bold and the spice was on the high end of the medium rating but I loved it. The chicken was tender, the rice was fragrant. This was exactly what I was hoping for. I will certainly be back.

Place is nice and had a few people while I visited around that time. Nice ambience with background music. The staff is good. The food taste was okay and portion size was good. Service could be a little faster, everything was great!!!

The place is warm, friendly and beautifully decorated. Tried the reasonably priced lunch buffet and the vegetable pakora. The pakora was crisp and fresh, the buffet was well maintained and everything we tried was full of flavor. If you enjoy Indian food, don't miss this spot. Add some of their Himalayan hot sauce to your food if you like your food a little spicy.

The $16 lunch buffet was yummy and I was so pleased to see all you can eat gulab jamun!! The chai tea was great— it’s $4.

  • 1/5 Geetanjali Y. 2 years ago on Google
I went to get vegetable samosa and gulabjamun. I paid $22!! I asked them beforehand that if the samosa will be fresh, and they shamelessly replied - "Yes". When I got it home, it clearly looked and tasted as if it has been re-heated several times. It was totally tasteless. Even the gulabjamuns were nothing but just very sweet. No flavor and taste whatsover. For so much to the name of restaurant "Little India", I dont believe it tastes anything like what you 'd get in India. Very Disappointed!!

What can you say? This was an experience that was good and bad... The food was ok; I had the lamb biryani, and it was full of flavor. The Punjabi samosas were ok not much flavor, and the dips were almost tasteless. The worst part for me was the bathroom experience; it smelled like a sewer, and if my food weren't on the table, I would have probably left. AVOID bathroom, and you should be fine. Not sure I would return or not, just saying, slow for dinner time, but service was good, and food was sent out fast, which I appreciate.

This is a good place for tasty Indian food, which is not unnecessarily spicy or hot. The dishes are made flavorful with balanced spice level. We tried Chicken Jalfrezi and Saag Paneer with Tandoori Roti, Raita and Rice. We had Chardonnay that paired well with this food. We also tried mango lassi, and capped gulab jamun for dessert. The place is reasonably priced. Service was good, even though they seemed to be slammed with to-go orders, but the staff was attentive of the needs of people dining in. Definitely a place to come back and try some of the other items on their menu. They can make the place better looking by changing the lights in dining area, and make it bit brighter.

Little india serves buffet, it’s currently priced at 15.99+tax. The staff said the meat was halal. The food was okay for the price. The saag paneer and the pakoora was good. The behaviour of the guy at the counter was really bad. We 4 people dined and politely requested a change or music. They never changed it. When one of our friend posted a bad review, they owner kept replying vindictive comments in google. People can have different experiences in restaurants. The owner responded saying, we have recordings of how much you guys ate. I have dined all over the US never faced this. Be careful when you dine next time. They only expect good reviews.

“As an avid lover of Indian food, I can confidently say that Little India is the best place to savor the authentic taste and quality of Indian cuisine. I’ve explored nearby restaurants, and none come close to the delightful flavors offered here. Trust me, if you appreciate genuine Indian food, this is your go-to spot!”

We went here last night for a friend's birthday for dinner. Our server's name was Ram and he was awesome!!! He was super engaging. He told really great stories about his life and made us laugh several times. He also had excellent suggestions for us. If you are lucky enough to have Ram, is your server definitely strike up conversation? He is a delight!

The food was amazing!!! Any out of tandoor oven is going to be to die for-we got the onion filled naan (forget the technical name and tikka chicken! You can add on veggies which we did for that and the chicken masala and that was also super tasty. They have chai which warms you up great on a cold evening! You will not regret checking them out!

Both Veg and Non Veg Thalis were delicious and came in good portions. Chicken Curry was well spicy, whereas Samosa and Paneer gravy was flavorful. Affordable lunch options if you wanna fill your tummy.

This place is awesome. The food is top-notch. Garlic nan, lamb saag, butter chicken, and tikka are all incredible. And it heats up so good!! My wife and I legit ate 3 times off of one $70 order. 10/10. Would recommend.

I come here very often cause the food is so damn good. The staff is always so kind and friendly. The atmosphere in itself is very welcoming and cozy. I personally love the establishment decoration. I'm vegetarian, it's usually very hard to find options. Here not only I have multiple options but each and every one of them is very good. The naan is so delicious and warm. I would totally recommend it to everyone!!

Was told by people that lived here years ago how great this place was. Have been greatly disappointed since. I have tried their food out 3x now months apart and nothing to say other than short cuts. I have received canned fruit cocktail in my cashmere and not tandoori chicken In my chicken. As someone that has been a cook for over a decade in multiple restaurant settings I expect more from over 20$ a plate anywhere. I really wanted this place to be good but store bought Naan isn't it.

I had 2 to go appetizers that were fantastic! #1 was the coconut shrimp smothered in coconut sauce, order a side of rice to make complete. #2 was the chicken pakora, boneless semi spicy chicken that's better than wings n is great with beer.

Delicious Indian food! I had the lamb vindaloo with basmati rice. It wasn't very spicy if you're a hot and spicy fan, but it had a yummy flavor and the lamb was really tender. The restaurant itself was a pretty place, very clean and the waitress was polite and attentive. It would be a good place to take your family to or good for a casual date.

  • 5/5 Mat F. 4 years ago on Google
Really really good Indian food, and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance; cloth napkins, granite tables, not too dark, not to bright. I recommend this for casual, romantic and group dinners, when the attendees can handle some of the spice of authentic Indian cuisine. There are a wide variety of options including vegan, and meatetarian fare.

Chandra was an exceptional server and bartender, had great recommendations and mixed a tasty Moscow mule. The Chicken Masala and the chicken curry were both PHENOMENAL. 5 starts from presentation to service to ambience.

I've been here before and highly enjoyed the buffet. However, this time around, I saw mice scurrying around the kitchen area. I informed one of the members of staff who just shrugged it off.

Visited the restaurant for the first time and disappointed with the taste and quality of the foods. Butter chicken (3/5) Lamb rogan josh (3/5) Shrimp curry (3/5) Tandoori chicken (2/5) Great customer service and food quality was good.

Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots. Enough food to last the entire day. Naan is always on point. Chicken tikka masala as well as the pakora masala are delicious. The tandoori chicken and chicken vindaloo are tasty too!

Amazing! Excellent service, and excellent food. I was really nervous since my family has not had Indian food before this experience. The staff was so friendly and helped us navigate the buffet. We will be back! Btw- the vegetable curry is so very good!

If you're on a lunch break, in any kind of rush, or need your food fast, don't go here. It took forever for me to be seated when all but two tables were entirely empty and I didn't get my food for almost an hour, while the tables next to me got appetizers and food and checkins about 3 times. They are suuuper slow. The food was decent quality, though so they do deserve that. If you like spicy food, I do recommend bypassing the mild and going for the next spice level, as it is almost too mild, and is only vaguely spicy, but maybe that's just my preference. This place would be good to eat with friends, if you're trying to really draw out your time and enjoy your company, but not if you have places to go and things to do.

Place is nice and had a few people in it around 1 or so. Great background music. Friendly staff. I had the Lamb Masala and it was delicious. Was going to take a picture, but I ate it too fast.

If you are looking for Indian/Nepali food around Downtown, this place is good fit for you. I personally find many dishes served here exceeded my quality expectations. Warm welcome and clean dining area with full bar is a PLUS. Applaudable customer service !!

Lovely service, delicious, reasonably priced food. Little India was the perfect respite for us on our way to the airport today. My only regret is that this beautiful restaurant isn’t located in our own home town in the SF Bay Area. Thank you!

Indian is my favorite type of food. I’ve had it numerous places across the country. This was some of the most delicious complex flavors I’ve ever had. I like it spicy. Spice level 3 was pretty hot. Just right for me. They have all the classics. But quite a few items I don’t see often. Great service and staff. I will be back!

  • 5/5 Natasha S. 10 months ago on Google
I'm not very familiar with Indian food but the vegetarian options on the lunch buffet were delicious none the less. My fiance ate a little of everything and liked it all. Service was fast, they did play the same instrumental song on repeat but otherwise the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing despite being busy. Staff were attentive. Would definitely come back for the lunch buffet again.

I'm always a fan of Little India, and this a solid location. Great food and service, just like all the other places. Nothing hits the spot like lamb vindaloo and garlic naan.

Not authentic Indian taste but keeping the city and restaurant location in mind, it's pretty good.

If i could leave a zero star review I would. The menu is full of false advertisements they say the breads are cooked in the tandoor (clay oven) but when we received the Naan it was dry and not cooked in a tandoor. When we asked the manager if they cook TANDOORI Naan in a tandoor, he stated that they dont a machine makes it. When we asked about what fish they use in the fish Masala they said salmon ended up being tilapia. As a topper im writing this review in the restaurant and the manager saw and got confertational with me and my knowledge about Indian food. I was born and raised in the Indian restaurant business and am punjabi myself so I would like to think of myself as pretty knowledgeable about my food since its what I've grown up eating in conclusion I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone for the food is bad along with the service.

  • 1/5 Evan S. 3 years ago on Google
Ugghh, I really hate posting this review because this restaurant had been so great in the past. The last 2 times, I've received 2-3 day old chicken mixed with decent chicken. This is a conscious choice by the restaurant and puts people at risk for both food poisoning and broken teeth. When you charge $17 for old food, you are simply going to get a bad review. I know times are tough, but this is not the solution.

The food was cold and not very authentic. My Dad actually asked them to microwave it which was absurdly embarrassing. The waiter responded with no problem this happens a lot... it was like a scene from a restaurant improvement show. The waiter was terrible and messed up the order twice. Then about 25% through eating he asked us if we wanted to go boxes. I asked him are you closing ? He said no. It was very awkward. Then he mixed up the credit cards with the people sitting next to us. To the owner: the atmosphere was really nice. But spend more time with the waiter and train him more properly and maybe pay more. Improve the food quality and get rid of the microwave.

Butter chicken and lamb masala were excellent. Chicken Tikka was disappointing, tasted very burnt. And the plain naan was the worst. It was harder than cardboard, hurt my teeth to eat. Too bad since I usually love the food here.

Horrible experience. When you place your order you get to pick a time and they tried delivering my order an hour early. Then got snippy when I asked them to remake it and deliver it at the right time. Then when I got my order I somehow got buffalo chicken wings and mozzarella sticks. How do they screw up and deliver something that isn't even on their menu? And why offer a delivery time if they don't actually follow it? Horrible.

Pathetic simply pathetic food. Chicken wasn’t cooked properly and customer service is more pathetic than the food. I was overcharged by the restaurant. Only noticed it when I checked my statement 1 week later. I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner and he was very apologetic. Then I got to know from 2 of my colleagues that this happened with them too. It seems like a scam with these guys. If you don't notice then it flies under the radar otherwise they will apologize and credit back the overcharged amount. I strongly suggest Mint restaurant only one block away if anyone in downtown is looking for at least better indian food than this pathetic place.

3 of us colleagues went here for food during a conference visit. Loved the atmosphere, loved the food. The staff was nice. Mr Ram babu was a delight. Mr Prabin was also very nice to us. The buffet was delicious. So was the momos, the veg curry, chowmein, chicken curry. Definitely recommend to try. Lalmon (gulab jamun) was awesome.
