The club is quite popular but if you are a black person I would not advise you to go there. Some of the staff there are racist. We were on the line for an hour only for us to get stopped at the point of payment for no obvious reason. The person working with the cashier (to collect entry fee) claimed the club was too full to let anybody in but other non black people were entering freely. When I asked what was going on they first claimed there was a number limit on the people that could enter the club. Then later changed the excuse to they didn't have enough bracelets to give us. We were treated differently cos we were black and that was humiliating and unfair to say the least. Just a few more points based on the owner's reply: A lot to say but I'd stick to 3: 1. No VIP was offered to us. That's a lie 2. Being Spanish and LGBTQ doesn't stop you from being racist. In fact the staff who attended to us spoke only spanish and was disinterested when we couldn't speak spanish. Color/Sexual identification doesn't determine your attitude or policies. People are either racist or not and if I may add my opinion, we POCs tend to be more racist towards each other(my opinion I admit). 3. It's okay to admit you operated based on our race, 6 black men. Your staff had a preference, it's your place after all. black people just deserve to be forewarned about this.

Always have a great time here but last night, security seemed to have an issue for someone in our group to go get a sweater inside after we left. Security was telling us we had to pay $30 to reenter the club just to check after we had walked out. They were making snarky remarks and thought it was funny. If this is the type of service we will be getting at this club I will not be returning. Just know that if you forget an item after you walk out, youre going to get charged another cover.

I lost my debit card at this bar 2 Saturday’s ago and it was used this past Sat. Hope whoever is using it enjoyed their time. My card was locked and reported as lost as of 8/29. EXACTLY ONE WEEK LATER on 9/4 my card was charged AT POTREROS! Nowhere else! What a COINCIDENCE! I’m sure it’s routine for all clubs/bars to do a routine check of the entire building/dance floor. You mean to tell me as many staff members as this establishment has that not one single person came across my card? The first and very last time I’ll ever step foot at this place. I’d rather give my money elsewhere than to support a sketchy establishment as this. UPDATE: well maybe if you guys would ID customers at each point of purchase, especially at the bar, then fraud could be prevented at your establishment. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ID PEOPLE. This place lacks professionalism. Rather than deflect from the situation, this establishment should recognize how they could improve from a complaint rather than down play my reasoning. The irony of it all is that I’ve heard plenty of horrible things about this place, yet still gave this place a try. My entire experience as a first time customer just proves a point. This place is a run down, classless place to spend quality time. I hope this post shows all of Denver how tasteless you all could be. & may I add, it doesn’t seem like I’m the first person to leave a review regarding being scammed or taken advantage of at this location. If everyone were to click on reviews and select lowest, then everyone will be able to see there are a number of customer complaints about the poor customer service among your employees and thievery. I am very disgusted. No wonder you guys have such low ratings on google. What a shame! I will not be silenced nor made out to be that I don’t know what I am talking about. You guys are disgusting 🤢

The most expensive deadest place I've seen in a while no pool tables one cute bar tender (if you go you'll know the one) no atm. Likely no one goes because they charge high entrance fees when opening and the price goes way up the later it gets and then you can't even go to your car for more money because they cut your wrist band off and have to pay to get back it

I went to this club for the second time I really enjoyed my time. But it’s really hard when all the staff only speak Spanish. They used a phone to translate and the translation was saying some inappropriate stuff. All I wanted to do was go change my shoes my feet where hurting they said if I leave I can’t come back in so what are the wristbands for then.

Excellent Staff!!! Say hi to Dawn while you are there...she is AMAZING!!!! Always friendly, tries to know everyone, remember things about them AND help with whatever needs to be done. The owners are personable and relatable! The music is top notch and the drink prices are cheaper than going downtown by a LANDSLIDE! The shows will knock your socks off and I am surprised at the quality for the low cover price. They do their best to maintain COVID standards unlike a lot of the places I have been to and I feel comfortable that I am safe there with the HUGE building and the social distancing that is available, maintained and adhered to. In this day and age, it is important to support small business that are hurting BECAUSE they value life and maintain the standards that are needed. We as a people can make sure that companies like this stay in business and are here for generations to come. We all know that most of the bars and nightclubs are here to just 'make a dime' and they do not care about the people within or (more importantly) outside their walls. This company, however; has shown concern for the community at large (by staying closed until real standards could be implemented) and adhering to them even as they have seen business decline because they REFUSE to blatantly defy standards and put others lives at risk for the sake of the business. This place is one that deserves the communities full support for doing just that. Thank you El Potrero for not only the ASTOUNDING atmosphere you provide but the genuine care for people that continues even to your own detriment. Keep up the good work!!!

Cover is a bit steep but it ensures you are safe so I don’t mind. Full pat down w/ armed security and valid ID checks. Love the music and the environment. Only rating it a 4 because there are too many customers to bartenders. Would love faster service getting my drinks. Drinks however are A1. Come here to get a nice buzz ✨

So overpriced and the security/bouncers are so rude. We tried to get in at 3:05 AM and they wanted to charge us $70. They bouncers were rude and would not even talk back to us. This place is ridiculous and way too expensive to be a trashy bar.

I would go here purely based on that. Clearly the company is focused on hiring educated individuals. This place it’s a joke. Cool environment but you have to pay. They take adventage of people. Have a cover charge of 50 dollars after 12 it’s a joke. Incredible expensive should not be like that at all. Stop taking adventage of people there is not artist inside the place to be that expensive. I could literally feel the music! We had a blast, props to the dj. It gets a little expensive the later you get there but it's completely worth it.

I would give them zero stars if I could. They'll steal your money, rip you off, and the food will make you sick. It's run by liars, thieves, and cheaters. Last night I was absolutely APPALLED at the behavior the staff displayed. I went out with a friend to compete in a dance contest. My friend performed beautifully and was definitely the favorite to win the $500 prize. But when the results came back, they said another girl had won. Upon having a recount done later by myself and several other patrons and performers, we found that the competition had been rigged and that my friend essentially had $500 stolen from her. When we brought this to the management they at first pretended not to understand English and then when we told them what had happened in Spanish, they said it wasn't their problem and told us to go home. All this coupled with the fact that the food made us both sick and they overcharged us at the bar means I will not be going there, performing there, or having anything to do with the place. And I would encourage everyone else to do the same. Despicable, wretched place.

I asked the very friendly waitress what came on my tostada. She said beans, avacado, etc. I wanted avacado, not guacamole, so I said ok. It came with something resembling guacamole, but a very thin version. I did NOT want guacamole so I waited to tell her that I asked for an avacado tostada. She told me that is how they do the avacado tostada. But that is not what she told me when I ordered. She did immediately run back to get it fixed and after a very long wait, I did get what I ordered and it was full of avacado but no longer resembling a tostada as they put one very small mix of lettuce and tomatoes off to the side, so it barely covered the really nice avacado. My husband also ordered a beef tostada which was probably not really much in the way of beef, it made him sick. He said it tasted like there was more soy in it that beef. Why do restaurants charge so much and give you shoddy food? To their credit, the restaurant was very nice and spacious. But it was very empty, we were literally the only guests for the entire visit. It was a Tuesday night at about 7:00 when we arrived. I guess everyone else must have already figured out that the food sucks. The waitress was very nice and eager to please so we did not leave mad but I do not know if I could ever recommend this place to anyone else!

Never use a credit card here. I checked my statement after going here a few times and had been over charged by nearly $80, via double charges and a few small charges from days I wasn't even there.
