This is a little hidden gem. We went a few hours before closing to enjoy some drinks and good music ($5 cover). The drinks was good. Our waiter was super nice. The Dj was on point with the music. The manager was super friendly and came and thanked us for coming in. I love the set up. I wish they a little dance floor and maybe some snacks to purchase. I can’t wait to go back to experience the live music.

We've been to this amazing show bar several times. We love the ambiance and comfy seating. The house band is talented and plays a wide variety of music. They offer many yummy specialized cocktails. Come check it out and you won't be disappointed. Be sure and make a reservation.

Always a great time at Willis. Service is phenomenal, cocktails mixed to perfection, and the music is to die for! Our most recent visit to Willis Show Bar was on a night that they were doing a tribute to Stevie Wonder, and they did him justice!

First time there, and saw Apropos perform his Christmas show on 12/23/22. What a great place with friendly staff, top-notch entertainment! Will definitely go back.....sidenote...we drove 44 miles in a snowy, windy, slippery highway, and I can only say.....it was like getting to open a Christmas present early!!!

Great environment and chill space with a fun atmosphere on a chill Tuesday night. Definitely test this spot out on a low-key Tuesday. It'll be great and you'll probably want to go back. Can't speak for any other day of the week but they definitely got my vote on a Tuesday in Detroit (on an oh so cold night in the D) 😉!

You will never be disappointed in the quality of music, drinks and overall environment! Very safe adult date night choice! My husband and I go weekly! Be sure to make reservations because it fills up fast!

The place was small & crowded. We had the option to stand by the bathrooms or by the entrance and we were continuously in the way of staff. The few tables that were there were all reserved, and there was a $15 each cover charge. We had been told it was a live band venue and not just a DJ. We had a drink and left as it just wasn’t what we were looking for that night.

Went with a few friends to check out their house band- the show and it was amazing. The venue is intimate and the decor is very chic. The band is throughout the venue which makes the experience immersive and the drinks were great.

Went here with a small group of friends and we absolutely loved it. Upon initial walk in you will see a checkin desks with complementary coach check, then going beyond the curtains are booths, tables, and a bar that resembles something from maybe the late 1960-70s that has been completed renovated up to the new modern Detroit feel. The night we attended they had an amazing DJ who played late 90s/early 00s R&B hits who then rolled it into our event theme of the night. Staff was great and the drinks were a 10! I highly recommend them towards the 25-35 crowd and will certainly be back.

My boyfriend has surprised me with reservations here 2 times and I absolutely love it here. The retro atmosphere is my favorite! We've had great service both times. The latest visit was a ticketed event to see Ben Sharkey, he was amazing! I would recommend this place a thousand times over if you like retro locations and some jazzy retro music. ❤️❤️❤️

Such an awesome place! We went here to watch a jazz band play. The overall atmosphere was soo cool. you would never know from the outside. The drinks were good as well. A little pricey but still good. Very hard to hear your friends over the music and to talk to the sever. They don’t serve food but they keep the drinks and water coming so that’s a plus. Overall, great place to check out!

Wonderful hospitality in this vintage bar! We went here on a recommendation to celebrate my BIL’s birthday and the overall atmosphere was so classy. Felt like you were stepping back in time in this beautifully restored jazz bar. The servers were so attentive and kept ours drinks full. Great bartender didn’t blink an eye when we ordered an aviation cocktail and a Sazerac. The drinks (and selections) were very good. It’s live music shows so though it’s cozy and intimate setting once the music starts you won’t be able to carry a conversation. They don’t serve food but it appeared they allow outside food. This is definitely a place I’d go back for a night out.

Treated myself for my birthday to see Kevin Christian and this amazing band do a tribute to Michael Jackson for his up coming birthday this performance was excellent. I ordered a margarita it was good. They do not sell food here. I was disappointed but you can ordered thru door dash. I didn’t want to wait so they do sell bags of chips that had to take my food edge off. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The only down side is the street parking I don’t like walking around nobody’s corners due to being safe. Valet parking would be nice. I still would give a 10 overall.

We went for the Beyonce Tribute. The singer was AMAZING!! I love the how the crowd (including us) sang along with her. I had a small problem with the drink I ordered, but the wait staff courteously and quickly corrected it. The wait staff deserve Kudos for handling such a small but busy crowd. This is truly a go to spot for good music and drinks. Will definitely be going back soon!

Nice! Went here for a specific event to see the punk band Decliner. It's a different band for the Willis Bar, but they are awesome! They don't serve food here, just drinks. They suggest the Indian restaurant next door. You can bring in your own food, which is cool. Drinks are sooo strong. Good. But do kinda taste a little bit the same. Wait staff was spot on great.

Extremely rude owner/manager, for no reason. To be fair my visit was before the pandemic but it has bothered me ever since. I would never go back. It’s unfortunate because the concept of the bar is great.

Great vibes, deliciously strong drinks, FIRE cover band - The At Will Band - we had a good time! The bartenders were friendly and informative, quick and knowledgeable. Definitely telling friends and will for sure be back... even found some new music - an EP with original music from The At Will Band! The lighting and layout even seemed well thought out. I came on a Friday night. ;-) Only complaint (and it's not even really a complaint because it is what it is) was there is no food, so eat before you come!

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Everything about this place is on point. The bartenders were on their A game, the atmosphere is amazing, moderately priced drinks. Great historic bar in a very historic area of Detroit.

This place was great, the ambiance, the drinks, the entertainment. A great date night or night out with friends. I'd recommend ordering 2 drinks at a time because the service can be a bit slow but I truly can't complain.

A great spot to get to in Detroit if your into intimate spaces that make craft cocktails and has live music. This is a fun and very stylized destination for an evening out.

This place is phenomenal! It definitely brings me back to the 70s. The lighting is dim, candles are lit! The music is loud and soulful I really enjoyed myself here! My boyfriend took me on a date here. I will definitely be back!

Really fun atmosphere. Wait staff was knowledgeable about cocktails and even made an off the menu drink after hearing what we liked. Band was great and you can tell they enjoyed performing.
