Horrible place. Unsafe and will never go here. Horrible.

I just saw 2 youtube videos of past bar fights resulting in deaths & I wasn't even looking for this bar...then I search to see if this bar is even open - omg, it's amazing that they still have their liquor license & are open.

First time at Kapones and definitely won't be the last. Looking from the front entrance I didn't think it would be as big as it is. We got to try the brunch on Sunday specials as well as the game day specials and even free pizza at halftime of the lions game. Seems like something going on every day would recommend checking it out. Wings and soup were both very good and the breakfast pizza was our favorite of everything we tried.

I am surprised to see this place have 4 stars. We definitely need to bring that down a little. I also now see why this place was empty on a Saturday night at 11pm. Let’s start with our waitress was Heather who seemed to be drunk and confused the entire time of our first experience being here. It was so many things that went wrong I HAD to write a review. We ordered drinks first , I ordered a lemon drop , and she didn’t ask if I wanted the martini or shot but it was fine until she brought me a lemon drop shot with just straight liquor and NO LEMON. I told her about it , and she humped her shoulders “Okay” was her response. She brought me the right drink and it was good. I’m sure that could have been the bartenders fault so no biggie! We than order food which was a nightmare!! My brother and I ordered lamb chops and they were soooo burnt that you couldn’t taste anything else but the Burnt crust on them. My boyfriend order a chicken Caesar wrap that had absolutely no chicken in it. The chicken quesadillas barely had a taste. 0/10 on the food here. When we explained this to our drunk waitress, she humped her shoulders again, and said “I’ll let the manager know” THE MANAGER NEVER CAME ! The sense of “I don’t really care” rolled Off her face Expressions. I will not recommend or ever come back but if you guys go , get food somewhere else.

Loud, messy.......bartenders are very very very very rude. They treated me like i was some wasted 21 year old when I obviously only had 2 drinks and food. Will never step foot in this place again - and i used to come here all the time.

I had fun! Our waitress was amazing! We drank, played keno(&won), danced there was live music, older and younger crowd, All different diversities were welcome and and no problems or fights happened So as far as a metro Detroit bar goes it was better then the norm

If you'd like to eat in the dark, using your phones flashlights to see the menu, your food, and the bill, this is your place. We had a large group looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, a couple drinks, and maybe play pool. The beers tasted almost fermented, like the lines hadn't been cleaned. Waitress was rude about most things though there was maybe 12 people in there, including our group, so it definitely was not busy. Foodceas tasteless and just got good. All in all, I can see why this place has gone so downhill. We will not be returning.

Fun atmosphere with lots of space. If you don't want to be crowded, this is a great place to be. Easy to see monitors to watch the game around the room and Cindy, our bartender was very friendly. A great overall experience!

Can’t say enough good things about Kapones. Amazing staff, food, and drink prices. Always great to catch a game on tv or play a few rounds of pool.

Great atmosphere and service... The food is good and the drinks are good and reasonably priced.. This place helped me have an amazing birthday.... I will definitely be going back

Drinks are decent and food menu is fairly impressive, even features veggie options. Live band adds flair to the evening. Can be a bit overcrowded at times, considering there's no mask policy, I wear one when not seated at a table.

Really cool atmosphere, food was pretty good. They've got alot goin on there..i was surprised. The band that played last night was on point and did a fantastic job with their set list and engaging with the crowd. Iam goin again just as soon as they come back to this side of town.

Fun atmosphere and shockingly way bigger on the inside than I thought. I didn’t even get a picture of the food but we get several things and loved them all. Saganaki, cheeseburger and fish sliders, fries, and garlic Parmesan pretzel bites…ALL phenomenal!

Great food drinks and atmosphere

Heather was absolutely wonderful to us... we were nothing less then a handful during the harper cruise. We spilled things and naturally as a decent human being I refused to have her clean it and she was kind enough to bring me the towel so I could take care of it. I have many bad experiences in high volume bars and she made sure this was that not. She either deserves a raise or a better position because my group is no easy task and she handled it with perfection

Waitress was Great and management was good, the cooks drop the ball on my wife's meal. My meal was good. I will try again soon

Chicken wings are great. I like the atmosphere here variety of music live bands. Staff was very friendly.

Surprisingly great food. Didn't know a sports tavern would have lamb chops! Met up with a group of friends for the jack of spades drawing. $1.00 per ticket on Thursday nights! It's well worth it and the money goes to the kids.

It's a great place, they were busy, but it's a very nice atmosphere, multi racial environment. Great music, food was okay. I would go there again.

Amazing staff, they let the local lions club hold a chili cook-off here and when the power went out did that stop the good vibes and great time? No way! Shout out our lucky server who won the raffle for the bloody Mary mix set! Jealous!! Will be back for sure

We arrived and it took awhile to get service. We then ordered an appetizer and waited...waited...waited...and 20 minutes later the waitress returned stating "oh, the kitchen just told me we're out of stock on that appetizer". First, the kitchen should have said something immediately. Second, it took 20 minutes to ask about the appetizer?? The French dip sandwich was good, fries were from frozen and passable.

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst service ever! My friend & I went to lunch there twice. Both times we sat at the bar to eat, both times on a Sun. Both times the bartender was there alone & way over her head! Both times we eat there she messed up or forgot our order. And because she worked alone, everything took forever.Then she screwed up our check & charged us for someone else's then had to void it. If the bartender can't handle the Sun crowd alone, then she should have help. I get she wants all the tips but customers suffer. We thought maybe 1st time there it was a fluke but to have the worst service, messing up stuff & taking forever twice... but nope. We're never going back there again! Update: Paid with credit card & after checked bank account, saw that the tip amount was increased by the bartender! Wow.

My son had taken me there for Mother's Day Dinner and it was a mixed crowd ( black and white), and at NO time did we feel unwelcome. I will be going back Mrs. Renee Childress

Not my type of bar or crowd.I went with a friend because his friend was in the band.Ordered garlic bread sticks.The marinara was awesome,but the bread sticks were under cooked.

This place was absolute garbage. Good riddance. Rotten employees who suck at their jobs and ownership/management who didn't care. Glad they closed down.

Taco special was very good price and quality. Service was excellant. Saw a few friends, overall excellant.

Great pizza and service

So this was our first time here since its been Kapones. I have to say, the food is amazing as well as the service! Super quick return times, and the kitchen was not playing around with sending food out HOT and FRESH! We will absolutely be back, and may even become regulars.

This is a great place to come during the day for lunch and in the evening for dinner. I have had nothing but great experiences here with my friends and family. The menu is very well assembled for a sports bar with a lot to choose from.

Best steak I had in a long long time

I thought the music was a little too loud cuz we had to basically talk into eachothers ear to have a conversation but the drinks were good. Would return again 👍

Walked in to have lunch with my family on Sunday 9/13. Saw an employee, said “Hi!” and was completely ignored. Walked around the restaurant looking for someone to seat us, and not one employee asked us if we needed to be seated or even acknowledged our presence. Will not return.

Good food, good atmosphere, huge bar and if you're going for dinner, ask for Rachel! She's the best and really knows her stuff!

Sat at the bar. All of the bartenders had attitudes and seemed like they did not want to be there or serve anyone. I was there before and after shift change too. All 4 or 5 of the bartenders had the same attitudes.

I admire this spot! They provide good food, they have a rich menu, The chef in that place is a real authority in the kitchen, I love very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are consistently good, the attitude towards the visitors is friendly. I often eat in this restaurant and I not even once was discontended. I recommend it to all.

After driving around for hours trying to find somewhere to sit down and eat and have drinks on a Friday night around midnight, we stumbled across here. Heather was our waitress and she was AWESOME! She provided great service and the food and drinks were so good! The dj was amazing also! We will definitely be back!
