🫤 I was there twice today because my Son works out there....This morning I picked up the trash in the parking lot only because it looked worse than yesterday. I didn't make the mess but I don't want to look at it either. Do better people! They have trash bins People often mention area, park,

I really like the part the only downside is is that there’s no place for shade and this part doesn’t have swings the city has done a great job with the renovating. I’m really sad that I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the old recreation building before they demolished it. The Park city next to a solar panel station on by DTE energy there’s a basketball court dance area hopscotch and lots of grass area, Although some of that grass is still growing. There’s park benches and parking area.

This park will always have a special place in my heart. I wish it was better appreciated and taken care of. Really hate that so much of it got overrun with solar panels. Thanks DTE 🙃

We had dinner at The Grove and then strolled through the park. It's a beautiful setting with wide walks, benches, lots of trees, etc. A nice place to relax and enjoy.

Decent park For balling there is a need to have a gymshoe sale in the Metro Area because a lot of guys think it is ok to play in flip-flops 🤔

Long time basketball court. Community center is torn down. They are rebuilding in the area, but what? Court is still in good shape. Be nice if they had some bleachers.

This park was dedicated on August 16, 1951. It was 22 acres before the Jeffries Freeway cut it up. I will submit a press photo taken of the dedication that day. That is me in the photo. My Grandfather Arthur William O'Shea was the Labor Editor of the Detroit Free Press when Detroit was the hub of the wheel of the military industrial complex. He was a negotiator in the tri-state area between labor, run by Mafia and the Moguls who owned all the means of production. He gave his fortune away to help alcoholics recover. Henry Ford hated him. The truth he wrote and the justice he gave and the people he saved by doing this…loved him. @ my initials, Arthur W. O’Shea III

I was there for the solar garden. There is a lot of work being done in the clean energy space, and I wanted to see a good example of something that was done by the city of Detroit. The bio swell and rain garden was also a great idea in a way to utilize the space effectively. I look forward to more of these being put in in different neighborhoods and starting community solar projects. For any blinded area or neighborhood it makes sense to use the land with some sort of low growing ground cover and then be able to grow nothing but plants that will absorb water while the solar garden does this thing and supplies power to the nearby neighborhood . We will be seeing a lot more of these in the near future I feel it. The park was clean and well organized. There was just a lot of bird feces that look like it hadn’t been cleaned up and one of the signs was vandalized as a case study for future.

👍👍 The Riverwalk was a great experience for our entire group. There’s free parking and the area is well-kept. We also noticed security/police presence and felt safe the entire time. The water is beautiful! We were able to get a great view of Canada and we saw several ducks up close and personal. It was...
