Detroit Flyhouse was the perfect night out for me & my girls. Our coaches Laura & Sarah were so welcoming and supportive, making sure we were all comfortable and encouraged to try new things with aerial hammock. I cannot recommend this place enough! This is something you should try at least once, but I promise you’re going to want to go back.

Amazing place to have fun and move your body in new ways! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and people all levels receive a challenging lesson from first day beginners to those with years of experience! Everyone is body positive and inclusive. Whether you are a native Michigander, or a visiting aerialist like me, Detroit Fly House is a wonderful place to learn, grow, and take to the air! They offer long term classes, and allow drop ins for classes that have the room for them, as well as private lessons. I’ve dropped in on a lot of classes here while visiting my family in the area, and all of them have been great. The space is lovely, and the people are even more lovely! If you’ve never done aerials, I think you’ll find this a very welcoming space to give them a shot! I didn’t start doing aerials until my 30s, so please don’t ever think it’s too late to learn! You can do this too! Go fly, people! :)

Just went here for my bachelorette party and it was beyond anything we could have hoped for! Our teacher was amazing, we all felt sexy and had the time of our lives! If you are looking for something fun and unique this is it! A time you will never forget!

I've come here twice and really enjoyed my classes both times. The instructor was helpful and flexible with learning styles ( and flexible on general 😂). I'd recommend this for a unique and challenging full body, fun workout. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more.

We love the Detroit Flyhouse! I was looking for an activity where my child could build strength and flexibility without constant pounding on her body. This has been amazing and she is super committed. The best part of the year for us is when my little one is empowered to choreograph and stage her own aerial performance and perform it in a large theatre. I have watched adults and children come in for the first time and leave with a sense of accomplishment and excitement that seems to be addictive. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

My daughter (7 years old) has the most amazing time every Saturday morning! She looks forward to her lessons all week. The instructors are the most kind teachers and do so well with kids. The kids get a lot of individual instruction and get to work on many different things from lira, silks and hammock every week. My daughter was able to learn and actually perform a real skill in her first class!!! This place has far exceeded my expectations. They go above and beyond any activity we have done before.

This place is the best! I love going to circus classes here. They are amazing at tailoring lessons to people who have been doing aerials for years and people who are trying circus out for the first time. This place is a hidden gem! Every single instructor I have worked with has been fantastic. I always feel safe trying new things. Definitely worth trying with friends or by yourself for a drop in class. It’s the most fun! Highly recommend.

I've only attended a couple of classes so far, but they have been great! All of the instructors have been very kind and friendly, and I really love how they structure the class, so you get some one on one attention. The owner was also really flexible with me about payment, and I appreciate that so much.

I had a wonderful first class at Detroit Flyhouse and I can hardly wait to return next week! Before registering for my beginner aerial series, the business owner, Micha, was responsive and supportive in regards to all of my questions. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by staff members and I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. The aerial coaches seem to be incredibly competent, kind, talented and enthusiastic and I am so glad I've stepped into such a great community to learn, progress and play! I enjoyed my first session and Jay, my instructor, helped me feel safe and confident in trying lots of fun new things on the tippy lyra and the silk hammock. Purchasing a class series is one of the best gifts I've ever given myself and I'm excited to build my confidence and skill set in this awsome art form. The best aerial school in the area! I've attended nearly two years focusing on flying pole, and am so grateful for this school, as well as for Laura (she's amazing!!), the flying pole coach! I've recently began taking flexibility class as well with Bailey, and she's been wonderful! No matter what class you take with whoever as the coach, you're sure to leave happier than when you got there - and likely with a piece of a new art / skill! 10 / 10, every time!

I would be here every day if I could! Every instructor is welcoming, safe, and knowledgeable. The weekly group classes are a great way to stay consistent with exercising. I recently took the Acro workshop and loved it! Theres always new ways to learn and grow.

A little over a year ago, I began my aerial journey at the FlyHouse. Today, the instructors are like family to me, the space is so healing and rewarding physically and mentally. It’s helped my performer journey more than I can say and loving the challenges I face daily. I’m so motivated to stay fit, push myself to be more bendy and enjoy all the laughter that comes along while working in the air at the FlyHouse. Such a rewarding experience for anyone at any age! You won’t be disappointed!

Flyhouse is the most welcoming, warm, and fun place to be. I struggle with a lot of anxiety and don’t really take classes of anything but coming here has me made me want try even more because everyone is so great. My coach Shannon specifically is such great human and very fun to learn from. she makes you feel good at any level and helps you go at a pace good for you. She’s made me want to work up to where she is and just get better and better. I really appreciate her words of encouragement too for the whole class! if you’re hesitant and nervous like I was.. just do it! I promise it’s so worth it, and see if you can get in a class with shannon<3

I’ve been taking classes at Flyhouse for the last year. I have always felt safe and cared for while learning with them. The instructors are passionate, kind, and able to meet you where you are and help you achieve your goals. I would recommend flyhouse to anyone. You are always worth the time it takes to learn a new skill.

The Flyhouse is always a good time and has a fun, inviting atmosphere. The coaches give thorough instruction that helps you feel capable and confident in trying new skills. Every class is a unique bodily challenge that strengths every muscle in your body and leaves you feeling accomplished. So happy to have found this little gem.

LOVE the Detroit Flyhouse Circus School. The classes and teachers are absolutely awesome! The teachers work exceptionally hard to make students comfortable and to work with them at their own level. Try it! You'll amaze yourself, doing things you never thought you could do. And loving it!

We love the Flyhouse!! My daughter has been going here since September 2021 and has truly found her passion. She has enjoyed all of the instructors she has worked with so far and a special shout out to Matt, Bailey, and Rae for really taking the time to help her grow. Bailey helped her choreograph her first student showcase performance too through private lessons at the Flyhouse. We can’t say enough great things and love that we found this little gem.

The Detroit Flyhouse Circus School provides an excellent outlet for individuals or the entire family to have fun while be physically active. All of my kids have enjoyed the experience of taking classes and as their mom I enjoy seeing how taking classes at the Flyhouse has enriched their lives. The staff is dedicated, knowledgeable and so sweet. 5 star experience each and every time.

I love going to the Flyhouse. It has such a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The classes are always fun yet challenging and I love the feeling of empowerment when I’m able to do something. The students and instructors are always so encouraging and kind and I just can’t recommend it enough. I currently am taking silks with Jay and he is so fun, kind and encouraging, he is such a great instructor. I’m so happy this place exists and would recommend it to anyone!

I have going to the flyhouse for just over a year. The coaches/instructors are very friendly, great knowledgeable and family to me. What a fabulous place! The wonderful staff keeps it fun and friendly every time. The owner is so effective in her communication, and conveys clearly how everything works. My children have been taking classes all year, and are still so excited to attend every session. Last week we arrived quite early for class and my daughter kept begging me in the car to go inside the studio to get started. THAT’s a solid testament to her experience at the Detroit Flyhouse.

We tried out the youth circus for the first time today for our twin 7-year-olds. They are into gymnastics, and have always been interested in the circus. The coaches at the Flyhouse were super welcoming and the class was fun and light while still teaching a lot of great aerial skills. The kids both had a great time, and are excited about more classes!

I absolutely love visiting the Detroit Flyhouse and Circus school. As an adult, there aren't many opportunities to engage in activities that are truly playful. My experiences at The Flyhouse are engaging and best of all fun! The coaches are warm and professional. I appreciate the fact that the classes are structured around all levels of experience. I've celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Flyhouse and had playful date night themed workshops. The Flyhouse has something for everyone.

Detroit Flyhouse is safe, professional, and so much fun. I have been going to classes for 2 years and I always have the best time. The instructors meet you wherever your skill level is and help you build from there. The studio itself has free parking infront of it and is super easy to get to. It’s super cute and colorful with high ceilings. If you’re looking for a place to exercise and escape from life for a bit this is definitely the place to go.
