We've been coming to this park for years. I love bringing my girls here. Most recently my youngest daughter and niece.

When I say this is a BEAUTIFUL city park, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the board who requested the park be named after Mrs. Luizzo. This area was very well planned out in utilizing all the space efficiently and earth conscience. Has workout equipment (needs oiling/ maintenance), has a nice walking path, and the bioscience plants/ space...I just can say enough! When the flowers are in bloom it's gorgeous! Just the mere reason it is there us awesome. Makes it kind of unfortunate that other city parks aren't sponsored or at least make great use of all that green space. Mrs. Luizzo really took up the mantle for civil rights, even though they didn't directly effect her and unfortunately she loss her life because of it... leaving her children without a mother and her husband without a wife. She was right here, in Detroit Michigan and I was not aware of such.

Bigger kids sit around the play area designated for smaller children. The conversation is sometimes a bit too much for the smaller kids to listen too..

Please please people remove your trash to a provided trash can or please please please take it with you. Ms Viola Liuzzo made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and rights you enjoy today. Please teach by showing your kids to respect Ms. Liuzzo by not trashing this monumental historical park or any public park facility. Please people teach them about her as well. Keep this facility clean and free of litter in Ms. Liuzzo's honor. THANK YOU!!!

We need to name a stree after Viola Liuzzo. She was one of our Greatest Civil Rights Leaders! Let's honor her with her very own street!

Beautiful little park with historic significance. Also has some design that improves the drainage issues in Detroit. Kept clean has workout stops for adults and a nice playground for kids. Pretty safe neighborhood as well. Statue and historical maker you can read about too.

Beautifully updated park honoring one of America's Civil Rights heros. The playground and gardens are gorgeous and the statue honoring Mrs. Liuzzo is beautifully well maintained. It's nice to see the park in it's new glory hopefully it will be a gem in Detroit for years to come.

I love the renovated Liuzzo Park. The neighborhood is quiet and the kids had a wonderful time meeting new friends. There's a lit of places to sit and watch the kids safely. Brings back memories

👍👍 The Riverwalk was a great experience for our entire group. There’s free parking and the area is well-kept. We also noticed security/police presence and felt safe the entire time. The water is beautiful! We were able to get a great view of Canada and we saw several ducks up close and personal. It was...
