Never have I been to a cafe where I’ve been approached 4 times to come up and pay for a bill after we’ve just finished a meal and are enjoying table talk with my family. When we eventually go up to pay the manager says “I did you a favour by letting you pay after your meal” My brudda just tell us to pay when we order instead of harassing us as soon as we finish our meal. Then again we are in Takapuna and I am a person of colour so no surprises there. Food was mad tho! Shout out the chefs!

This place used to be good. Now there’s been a massive decline in quality and an increase in price. With so many options in the area it’s best to choose another place for double the portion at half the price. Edit: clearly run by rude, sarcastic people too. Lots of people have posted pictures of your disgusting food, take a look. Maybe spend more time learning how to cook rather than fighting with customers on the internet 😉 Shame.

We took our daughter out for breakfast on her birthday. The staff were friendly but they got our order wrong several times. Firstly we ordered a large and medium coffee but the medium they gave us was a kids fluffy cup. When I questioned the size they said that's definitely a medium. It wasn't until my daughter's fluffy was served that we realized it was the same size and then the staff realized they made a mistake and swapped it for an actual medium cup. Second mistake was my daughter ordered the kids pancakes which was supposed to come with bacon on it (clearly said it on the menu) but the chef said no it doesn't come with bacon. My poor daughter had to wait even longer for her birthday breakfast because the chef didn't know his own menu 🤦🏽‍♂️ I had ordered a big breakfast meal. The mushrooms, eggs and bacon were delicious however half of the plate was covered in salad leaves and spinach. I was almsot going to order a second hash brown for $7 but im glad i didn't because it wasn't a proper hashbrown, it's just a ball of mashed potatoe. Not my cup of tea!

Late review - I visited the Jam Organic Cafe in mid June. The food, the service and the atmosphere, everything was great! I tried the Leek soup and Ciabatta toast, it was lovely. Also, had a chat with the lady, seemed like the manager of the cafe, about a few things around that time (if you remember me, I asked you about a certain office on level 4 of the building next to your cafe and you said that there was nothing on level 4, it was vacant, haha funny!!! 😄).

Food is Excellent and staff is very friendly. Must recommend beautiful bene and their freshly baked Loafs 🍞 . They also customise the meal if you have any allergies. Many Thanks for make my day🥂🥂

Our friend recommended Jam and so glad we came over to have breaky, such beautiful food, coffee and service in a great atmosphere where we could have our little dog with us too.

Shocking customer service today while out having lunch with my family. Would recommend others avoid this place and go elsewhere. Plenty of better options in the area!

Terrible customer service. When we ordered drinks we asked to start a tab so we could pay altogether at the end. The lady said that was ok and processed our drinks order. When we ordered food a couple minutes later we asked to add that food to the same tab as the drinks. The lady said that was ok and then asked us to make sure we paid at the end (which of course we were always going to pay!). When we were finished eating and just chatting amongst ourselves she came over and asked if we were finished. We said yes, expecting her to clear our food but instead she asked us if we could pay once the till is free and she didn't actually clear our plates (strange but ok yes we will pay when we decide to leave). We continue talking amongst ourselves and 2mins later she comes over again and asks us to pay immediately. We then got up to pay right away as she seemed very hurried to get us to pay and get us out of the cafe. She then said she had done us a favour by creating the tab for us and that she doesn't usually do that. We had no issue paying up front if she had told us that was the only way to pay but instead she allowed us to start a tab and then got mad at us at the end and tried to hurry us to pay and leave the cafe. Not coming here again and expect better customer service. Chef's did a great job on the food tho!

Great cafe for brunch but is very popular it does get super busy. So expect to wait on a weekend. Were lucky to have a beautiful day on Saturday and sat outside watching a dog show in the adjacent gardens. Great bustling atmosphere, lovely fresh cooked food. Good vegan and vegetarian options.

Ordered eggs bene with mushroom. Didnt taste good at all. The eggs were undercooked and full of water (as per the photo). Couldnt help but to give a 1 star rating.

One of the better eateries across Taka. Always busy, reputation backed up by its healthy fusion mix of great food. Highly Recommended.

Great Service , Great Coffee and Great Food with plenty of food options

My favourite cafe in takapuna disappointed me today. Great, clean, healthy food - props to the hard working chefs, but the front of house definitely let the team down. I felt unheard, repeatedly cut off by the server, and was handed a takeaway box like a fly that was being shooed away.. Just some feedback for improvement.

Best cafe in Takapuna! Food is fresh, healthy and fantastic. Great service and atmosphere. Tried some others and just kept coming back here after the first try. Must have in Takapuna!

Only had drinks so can't comment on the food (looked amazing!). Lovely atmosphere and good location wit easy access to parking nearby.

Its always nice to be greeted by a warm smile. It was the first time to add mushrooms, it was really good! I love the shared tables and sun🙂

Very disappointed with today’s visit. Coffee was cold, meals were served 30 mins late and also cold. It wasn’t crazy busy and haven’t been told in advance about long wait. It used to be one of the best places in Takapuna for brunch, but sadly can’t recommend it anymore.

One of the best quality value for money cafes and eateries in Auckland. Not pretentious, down to earth honest food with many options. Nothing is too much trouble at this place. Be back, for sure!!

I had the bircher muesli it is the best I recommend it! I have had many bircher muesli but none can compare to Jam cafe. Coffee was ok I could tell it was left on the counter for a bit to long but it was tolerable. We had the matcha latte wasn't as good as it could be but again totally manageable. I would recommend this place for their food it is amazing! Kinda pricey but the food is worth it.

Very nice cafe with a dynamic and friendly crew. The dishes were well dressed and delicious. It's a little bit expensive but you know what you are paying for.

We were told that this was one of the best local cafes, after visiting, I'd have to agree, yummy coffee, delicious scroll I had, w butter. We will be back

The best eggs Benedict - Jam Style that you can find in Takapuna. One of my favourite dishes is also the chicken salad. They also have great coffees and fresh juices and a beautiful cabinet.

Beautiful breakfast, love the music, it's louder than most cafes but that's why I love it, adds character to the Jam Vibe 👍🏽 Hard to find a Good barista but coffee was GREAT!!! Definitely going back 😀

Love this place! Really good coffee and their ginger-nut slice is without a doubt the best I have eaten! (and I have eaten many!) Super friendly staff, would definitely go back!

I ordered a takeaway salad from the cabinet. Took at least 10 mins to receive, cafe was not busy. This Caesar salad cost $14.50 - container half empty….. appalling

I joined some friends for a coffee. The front-of-house lady was in a rush and was rude. I paid a 15% public holiday surcharge. The coffee did not arrive after an extended period. I enquired, told it was next in line. Still did not arrive. I waited in line to get a refund. From a previous review, “but the front of the house definitely let the team down. I felt unheard, repeatedly cut off by the server, and was handed a takeaway box like a fly that was being shooed away…” .They don’t care; there must be a better café than this place.

Best cafe in Takapuna, exceptional service amidst the bustling crowd, timely delivery of our meal. Highly recommend the refreshing Detox Elixir smoothie.
