I have booked 12 Rooms with Banquet Hall for Ring Ceremony / Engagement Ceremony with catering service of the Hotel on 24th February, 2023. They have assured to start Snacks at 6 PM, when I visited at 6.45 PM found all facilities for snacks was missing. They started services of Snacks VERY SLOWLY at 7 PM for LESS CONSUMPTION OF SNACKS. Two men was provided for table service and movement of those persons were also VERY SLOW i.e. also for LESS CONSUMPTION OF SNACKS. You will be surprised to note that every Bowl were covered with OPAQUE LID so that any guests cannot know the items inside the bowl and EVERYONE HAS TO ASK WHAT ITEM IS IN THE BOWL. At 8 PM services of Snacks closed and started Dinner Services and we have noted the same activities in Dinner Time. For Dinner with other items I have chosen Fish with Sarshon Masala. They have made VERY SMALL PIECES OF FISH just like 1/4th piece of small Potato. Every guest including myself were confused whether it is FISH or POTATO. I did not recommend this restaurant at all

Location is fine but service is not upto mark being rated 4 star the hospitality is below par and staff are not pro-active No proper communication intend for customer ..worst service so far considering stay in hotels Bihar and Jharkhand Nominal charge for a room is 6k thankfully booked through MMT of 3.5K Not worth of shelling out 6k for average facility and maintenance is not well - damp wall , water outlet in bathroom stinking and lack in sanitation Not recommend to stay unless you are considering location

This is the best hotel in Dhanbad. It's situated on the top floor of the building. The rooms are almost equivalent to any 5 star property and the service is also very good. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Unprofessional staff at reception for the money you are spending. We were given the most basic room after waiting 2 hours from the check in time, whereas the room we booked was different. The reception staff takes away from the good experience one can have in the hotel.

An excellent place to live in the area. I stayed here almost for a month on my business trip. Points to highlight: (1) Excellent daily housekeeping (2) Really nice breakfast (3) Amazing room dining services (4) Must mention the names of Sudhir Kumar Modi and Babloo Prasad for their extended tailor made room dining services during odd hours. They are very nicely managing my orders before I enter my room. Overall an excellent experience. 🥰🥰

Insufficient lights inside the room Cannot think of doing anything important after sunset ! You cannot move to 4th floor from here in an elevator. From 7th floor, we had to come to 5th floor using elevator and then take stairs to 4th floor. 4th floor is where most of the restaurants are.

Stayed here for just a day, when i was in Dhanbad for a colleague's wedding. Great location. Very good rooms.

I had an amazing stay at Sonotel. The hotel is located in a great location, close to all the major attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Best in class hotel in Govindpur/Dhanbad area. The hotel is in Crowded area, inside the mall. Hotel/Bar/marriage/party halls available. Food quality is very good veg/non veg. Complimentary breakfast options are very less. For business travel very good hotel.

I had come to Dhanbad in connection with a marriage, so I stayed at Sonotal Hotel at that time, the people of the hotel here were very nice and cooperative in nature, and it was a bit congested inside, but overall the food and drink and the place here The atmosphere was very nice, very big mall next to it.good experience

The food taste is monotonous. It's a three restaurant, so the rate is high, but dining satisfaction is less.

Location of this hotel is good. You can enjoy your evening by shopping & can try local dish outside. However rooms are small as their good quality are rooms are average in size & not as they name it. Food are good.

Overall experience was good. Staffs are very polite and place is very good. You can dine in here with your family, also can book a banquet hall for 170 members. They also have Garden to book for marriage purposes for 250 members.

Pathetic service. At the time of entrance the Manager's( Gaur Hari ) behavior was quite rude. It felt like he has no experience to attend his customers. Even the staff members seemed to be less trained. Not at all satisfied. The overall set up didn't meet the expectations. Also the food wasn't good. Highly disappointed.

Hotel is good but the food is of worst quality prepared by unprofessional chef. I had mutton rogan Josh, chicken leg kabab and paneer tikka today and had a very bad experience . Mutton was not fresh was uncooked very bad taste. Same with chicken leg kabab and paneer just hated it. Waste of money and time. Never going to visit this place again.

For a city like Dhanbad, Sonotel is a very good hotel. I found house keeping good but restaurant needs to improve, both quality and options. Staff was very polite, cooperative and forthcoming.

The hotel has completely degraded it's standard and services! Sharing some of my experiences.... 1. Some of their rooms are shabby, with damp and without door lock system from inside! No safe, no iron, no hair dryer, no mini fridge in the room! Sometimes shower will supply only boiling hot water. 2. Their restaurant, Spread, not neat and clean all the time. Forget about the good interiors even available in a normal non-star hotels. Absolutely not classy and eye-catching. 3. Waiters may take your order, but you never know when they will serve and what they will serve. In breakfast, i had ordered black coffee without sugar, after 15 mins they were serving coffee with sugar, telling that waiter was busy! That time there was only 5 guests and they only have to mix one nescafe sachet in hot water! 4. If you are calling house keeping for mugs, they won't provide it to you, and after 30 mins when you will again enquire, they will tell, it's not their duty, please call room service! As if they don't have any co-ordination between room service and house keeping! 5. I had packed salad for lunch as I had to visit coal mines, and when I opened my parcel, there was no fork and spoon inside! Just imagine the situation, you are hungry, inside a mine with all dirty hands and no spoon there! Even road side dhaba's never forget providing fork, spoon, tissues with the parcels, and they claim themselves as three star! 6. Wonder from where the Waiters, house keeping and almost all staffs got themselves trained, as I never found any polish and sofistication in their behaviour. Being a regular visitor in Dhanbad, I only have to downgrade my standard to get the work done. As I have to travel a lot for my office work to different cities, and my stay in 3/4* hotels, i can completely differentiate their standard from other hotels! I do not know why the competent authority like nidhi.ac.in has granted them a three star without proper verification! You should always rethink for other good options. Though Dhanbad is not having good quality star hotel.

I just visited The Spread which is a multicuisine . If we talk about the ambience it was worthy but the portion size of appetizers were way to less than a standard size as well as with respect to the price . It needs a bit of work in menu pricing . But to conclude it was good for a family outing .

The Bar service is worst. I think they mix duplicate or local liquor with the original one which you order. I went one day with one of my friend on his recommendation, but the next we both fall sick badly. My friend had bad vomiting and I also had severe headaches and hangover for the next 3-4 days. We both were scared after this episode and will not recommend any one to visit Sonotel. The food is equally bad ,we ordered French Fries which had bad oil smell. We had stomach upset. Skylark is far far better.

This is one of the best properties in Dhanbad. Though at this time, when I had visited the maintenance work and white wash and paint was going on in the lobby and some rooms. Because of the same the experience of overall stay was bad. It was difficult to breathe inside the room and outside lobby was not helping either. Aside from the same the rooms are spacious, the facilities are good. The washrooms are clean and tidy. You get a big TV inside the room with all required channels. The food in the restaurant was good, the service was a bit slow but food was tasty. Good place to stay in general. There is a mall also inside the same venue, that will help you with retail therapy and cinema viewing.

The look of the bar is osm but It should give some quality products. Their service is not soo good but look is best....:)
