Hotel

πŸ‘πŸ‘ My partner and I spent a truly wonderful night at this gorgeous little bridge house in Amsterdam Noord last week. We live in Amsterdam but wanted a little staycation in the city and this one is probably the nicest of all of the Sweets Hotel properties in town. The surrounding area is absolutely love... People often mention house, bridge, nice, Amsterdam, stay, room, great, view,

This was a very cool experience. Sweets have turned several old bridge keepers houses into single hotel rooms. They are right on the canal and was just wonderful to lay in the bed and look out on the canal and see boats passing by. The only downside I would say is that they are really small. Just enough room for the bed and a tiny bathroom. I would love to try another one of their properties next time we are in town

My partner and I spent a truly wonderful night at this gorgeous little bridge house in Amsterdam Noord last week. We live in Amsterdam but wanted a little staycation in the city and this one is probably the nicest of all of the Sweets Hotel properties in town. The surrounding area is absolutely lovely with gorgeous historic residential houses along the water and the beautiful Noorderpark right across. It even has a little terrace where you can sit and enjoy the sunset while tucking into some locally made pizza and a bottle of natural wine. The interioir is entirely decorated in wood, making it feel like a small chalet with massive windows all around. In the morning, we enjoyed a cup of delicious freshly brewed coffee thanks to Freshdrip - such a great idea btw. We absolutely loved our stay here and can only recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little getaway or a more private place to stay during a visit to Amsterdam.

Beautiful interior, in a unique building. Quiet and pretty, historic, and relaxed neighbourhood. Space inside building is a bit tight, but The designer have added great space saving details. Some good grocery shops and restaurants within 10 mins walk. Although not central on a map, it is surprisingly easy to get to, especially by bike. Very friendly communications from the staff, and we liked the smart digital entry (using our phone). Overall, a very nice place for a short visit.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sweets Hotel! The room was beautiful and we loved the view and the feeling of being in nature, with the canal and park in front of us, and the pretty Dutch houses alongside us. The area was great too - we loved the park (as well as the ice cream shop there!) and walking to windmill closeby. It was also a quick walk to and from the station. They decorated it so beautifully for our anniversary. I can highly recommend it!

A very nice room/tiny house. Everything is very automated, so the door can be opened e.g. E.g. open via app. The house is right on the water and has windows on all sides through which you could see the sunset. Many birds greeted us in the morning. We really liked the Japanese-inspired minimalist design of the room. The small bathroom is also a coffee kitchen, very well thought out and worked perfectly. Despite the low outside temperatures, the house itself was nice and warm. We'd love to come back.

We had a really nice time in this cozy bridge house and we really appreciated the board-games. Besides, the room was super clean, the space was efficient and well designed.

Room was clean with lovely details. The speaker and digital guide were great and the bed was soooo comfortable. Had some trouble with the app-based key system but the help line was very responsive. Wonderful stay!!

Most romantic hotel ever. Small but cute, with an amazing view while having breakfast in bed...

Amazing location - close to great restaurants and bars but in a nice quiet park. The bridge house itself was so cosy and had great views of the sunset over the canal. Would highly recommend!

A very unique concept. Every bridgehouse has its own unique spot and story. This house is very nice and quiet. Cosy and romantic. Thank you Sweets for your service and personal note. I’ll be back.

As an Amsterdammer, like many Amsterdammers, I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with hoteliers. Another hotel in Amsterdam, is that really necessary? Wouldn't it be better to build social housing and/or student housing?... But I must say: what the gentlemen/ladies behind the SWEETS hotel have done is so unique that I can only praise it: 28 bridge keepers' houses have been transformed into fantastic "suites". Every house is different and so is every suite. I chose the Bruiksloter Swing Bridge because the design really appealed to me: lots of wood & lots of white, and a beautiful view all around. Sometimes you find that the Instagram pictures are beautiful, but that a hotel in real life is a bit disappointing... That was absolutely not the case with this bridge keeper's house: upon entering I immediately felt a cozy feeling, a "home" feeling. The only disadvantage I can think of is that I had to check out again at 11:00; I would have liked to linger a little longer ;) Dear people behind SWEETS: keep it up and you will see me again soon in one of the other 27 houses.

Had a very nice overnight stay! The house is fully equipped in such a small space. In combination with a dinner on the lighthouse island, we really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. Worth repeating!

Initially, I chose the place because of the location - a combination of city and country, and the vibe in the room from the photos. My expectations were fully met and topped with some added delights, such as being able to sit outside to enjoy the view, to name but one. Over all a very charming way to discover some of our special heritage in and around Amsterdam. A brilliant concept and a wonderful experience - Claudio

Such a romantic place! 10 minutes away from the central station, but it feels like you're in a totally different part of the country. The view is amazing, you're surrounded by water. From the inside the bridge house is lovely too: it's all wood combined with white curtains.

It was a pleasant stay. Two downsides: after taking a shower for three minutes, my wife also wanted to take a nice shower, but the water remained cold. We were missing a waste bag in the waste bin by the bed.

Awesome view of river and canals. Right in downtown Amsterdam. Quiet. Great bed. Only reason for 4 stars was that there was a bit too much light for sleeping. Needed a way to turn off the stairwell lighting, and maybe some darkening shades.
