NOTE: THERE IS ONGOING renovation of the bridge since october 2022, so you will get the house but without a bridge. Big dissapointment when come from far away for a special occasion. We asked for refund, which we got but still, the hotel management must inform of these kind of issues beforehand. When you look from the windows of the tiny house, all you see is garbage and renovation fences. Not taking into account that, clean house and close to nice cafes. Without bridge, not worth the price otherwise you can stay just in a basic hotel for cheap or go to a 4-5 star hotel in center.

Great memories at 'Scharrebiersluis', on the east side of Amsterdam city. The locations is good, 10 minutes walking from Amsterdam Central station, near several museums, the botanic garden and the zoo. The bathroom and the toilet are not the most convenient, but it's OK for one or two nights. he decoration is very cute and the bed is exceptional! Would highly recommend this unique experience!

Location excellent - next to the oldest Amsterdams pub de Druif. Bakker von Ost also opens early so you can get a fresh juice & crossant for your partner while she/he will prepare. House is bit crooked - but I love it! Even bigger charm!

One of the best hotel stays ever. No neighbours through the walls, non-touristy neighbourhood, close to cafes, restaurants, and the Maritime Museum. I only wish I had more time in this cozy, happy space. Zero service issues, the place was spotless (and pretty un-level), and check-in and out were seamless. Can't wait to return!

Scharrebrier bridge house gave us a totally unique and beautiful view on Amsterdam. We highly recommended it for people who want to experience the city in a different way, immersed in the history of a tiny bridge house you get to hear and see things about beautiful Amsterdam that you can't find in a "traditional" hotel. We loved the interior design features and the comfy bed!

Excellent experience overall. I was looking for somewhere central and cozy for a couples holiday and this was perfect. I was worried that it might be noisy with the nearby busy road and what looked like construction work on the nearby bridge (a bit of a shame that the bridge wasn't there for our stay) but it was actually very peaceful and had no trouble getting to sleep. The bed was very comfy. We were greeted by a handwritten note welcoming us which was a nice touch. It was great to read through the SWEETS Hotel book to learn more about the history of the bridge house. There were some spirit levels left in the room which I thought was a funny nod to how crooked the house was. We had dinner at a vegan sushi bar and breakfast at Bakers & Roasters, both very nearby and both delicious. I have no complaints but if I had to be critical I was a little confused by the three different heating options which all had different controls (bedroom radiator, aircon, and toilet radiator which was especially awkward) but it was nice and warm very quickly once we figured it out. To sum up, it had all the perks of an Airbnb (independence, have the place to yourself, feel like a resident) with the luxury feel of a hotel (fresh towels and slippers, big comfy bed, very clean and well organised). We are already planning our next trip to another bridge house!

A lovely place to stay that was something different from a hotel or apartment. The room was surprisingly spacious and had excellent facilities. It was sympathetically decorated and offered a relaxed atmosphere. Opposite there was a pub and a restaurant so no need for room service. If you want something different and authentically Amsterdam with a sense of history too, I thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.

One of the most lovely places I have ever been lucky enough to stay in. The quant little bridge house we stayed in is located in a nice quiet area where there was very little foot traffic or noise. Cozy and warming my wife and I have an amazing holiday together. Staying here has inspired us to want to stay in all the SWEETS hotels. They are all unique and offer a very special experience and perspective of Amsterdam.

This is probably the best place to stay in Amsterdam. Very good location. Close to the city center but in a nice neighbourhood with non touristic bars, restaurants and cafes. Wonderful little bridge house, renovated with a lot of love for details. Everything inside that you need. I can definitively recommand to stay in this location.

My friend and I had an amazing stay at SWEETS hotel Scharrebiersluis. The room is decorated nicely and is more spacious than you might think. We stayed here during Amsterdam Light Festival and the location was perfect as many light installations were close by!

“This is the sweetest hotel we’ve ever stayed in! It was a super romantic experience because you have your own little gem along the canal with great views over the bridge and the Scheepvaartmuseum. Although it’s located in the city centre with lots of cool spots all around it feels like a quiet place in town because of the privacy you have. The bridge house is nicely decorated with small details referring to its history. The bathroom is small but pretty with a great shower. I am definitely triggered to stay in more SWEETS bridge houses, I think there is no better way to explore Amsterdam!”

We received a stay in the bridge house as a gift and we enjoyed a very nice mini-holiday in our own city. It was a very special and very recommendable experience. The bridge house was more spacious than we expected and it is very nicely decorated. The neighbourhood is very pretty and there are a lot of nice cafes and restaurants nearby.
