The place is really overrated. So crowded and noisy. The private room is expansive and doesn't have a window. It is so hot in the room and the ventilation at the roof can't work because of bad construction. Good things are the hot shower, free coffee and water the whole day and free breakfast.

Basic hostel with tiny but clean private rooms, shared bathrooms. I travelled through Central America for 1 month and know that you can find much better and cheaper places for $37/night. Breakfast are pancakes without any fruits. W-fire very weak. Terrible noise all day cause there are big constrction works right next to the hostel.

Very nice experience for someone who don't used to frequent hostels. Very clean place including showers and beds. Good attention from reception. Wifi worked fine. The place is located in a strategic place to visit the old town. I used car parking from street.

I've stayed at Luna's Castle many times. It's a really great hostel, that seems to think of lots of nice extras, like a power connection in each locker, so everyone can charge their phones, computers, etc while in their locker. There's a fan and privacy curtain for each dorm bed. Lots of common areas to relax, whether you want to be social or have quiet time. Free pancakes, coffee, and tea every day. Great location, in Casco Viejo, not far from the seafood market. Great views. Happy hour specials. The only little problem that would be nice to be fixed would be the crazy-loud fan at reception. With a quieter fan, it would be easier to communicate with the lovely and very helpful staff.

My favorite hostel in the world. Location: 5 stars right at the entrance to Casco Viejo Atmosphere: 5 stars. Very cool staff. They have a great bar in the basement. Rooms: 5 stars. Each bunk has a comfortable bed with a curtain and light. Hard to beat that for a hostel. Price: 5 stars. Around $15 for a dorm. On the pricier side, but the amenities make up for it.

Absolutely amazing place, it's clean, the roomsare nice, the ambiance is alive and cosy, relaxed as well. Not a crazy party hostel with drunk people running around. But on the otherhand, there is a very nice bar downstairs, so the party is close. My biggest positive opinion goes to the reception people, who are always so kind and helpfull, they take the time to help you, and they have a big heart. I stayed in many hostels but this was my favorite:)

Great bang for your buck for a hotel! What I enjoyed the most was that the room was widely spaced (relative to your average hostel), and that the beds were not your average hostel bed either - they were comfortable with the ability to pull the curtain for privacy (my favorite part). Staff could be more courteous, hence docking 1 star.

Really nice location and hostel with a lot of small details. Breakfast is only pancakes and coffee and tea which you have to make yourself. It is a nice party hostel, where we spend ny eve and although there was a party going on we didnt hear so much upstairs. We stayed in the 6 bed room with a view.

It's a huge hostel in a cool building in the historical part of town with a great view. I saw that other reviews said this was a party hostel, but I didn't find that to be the case. Yes, there are people that go out and party and come back late, some are loud, some are not. It is what is. I didn't have trouble sleeping. Beds were comfy, pillows were actual REAL pillows (not just foam stuffed in a bag like other places). Chris the social coordinator is the nicest/friendliest person on the planet and took us on this amazing walking tour of the city. If you do choose this hostel, go on the walking tour with Chris!!!! They have a kitchen that can be used to cook your own food and free pancakes every morning for breakfast (you have to cook them yourself though). I would 100% recommend this hostel to friends and family. Only downside is no hot water in the showers, but the water isn't freezing cold, it's just not hot.

It's a cosy, welcoming place where you feel like home. The rooms have enough space and it's clean. The pancakes in the morning makes it worthwhile to wake up in the morning. Chris is a perfect host, who gives you the feeling that you want to stay longer.

One of my favourite hostels of all time. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good pricing. Highly recommended!!!

Great hostel, really know what travellers are looking for. For instance: Lockers have charging outlets in them; Dorms are pod style for my privacy; Happy hour has 50 cent beers; When you arrive late before check in is possible they let you sleep in hammocks in the common area; Friendly staff and your room includes a pancake breakfast

Great party hostel. Great bar. Good room with decent AC, spacious bunks and quiet despite the bars all around. Ample common spaces and good vibe between guests. Great location! The lower rating is due to the terrible administration. The hostel staff were rude, and started yelling at us when we tried to check in (on time, reserved and deposit paid a month earlier). Other guests in our shared dorm had similar experiences. Also when I booked a taxi through the hotstel the set fare to the airport was more expensive than listed/advertised. Additionally the staff gave us three keys for a group of 4 people (not necessarily travelling together) ....strange. This hostel could be the best in Panama city if it had friendly, helpful or attentive employees. Seems a pity. I would probably stay here again, but more likey find another hostel and visit the bar at this one. (Also huge rumors that half the rooms have bed bugs! Eeek. Not our room this time luckily!!)

This place was in the best location every right exactly where you want to be in Panama city. The open kitchen was a god send as I love to cook plus I saved money which is a good thing while traveling. The staff are cool plus the bar down stairs saves the bother of actually going out.... Not that you wouldn't want too.

Great place, nice people, clean ! Happy hour 9 to 10 pm 2/1 beer and cheap drink. Good commodities ! Might be noisy sometime, loud music around in the neighbourhood. Else good service, nice people that will help you with place to go, directions and everything else !
