My friend was going to the Qatar Mosque for Friday prayer and I joined him. The building was very impressive just in shear size, the decor around the building was simple as the focus is suppose to be on God (Allah) however, it was still a very beautiful building with simple architecture features and beautiful brass lighting fixtures. The main prayer room is massive with plenty of room for many people to pray. The marble Columns that held up the overhead spans were huge. Not a lot of ornamentation just a simple yet awesome place to praise God.

The mosque is fabulous. We had a guided tour around and you need that for all the information. It’s a beautiful place. It’s a very strict place to enter. There are lots of checks and women have to be completely covered. Some of the women in our party had to buy dresses to cover up. But it’s a great place to visit. The mosque is fabulous. Me and my son were not let to even see the Mosque from the outside. No information that visitors (women) are not allowed to even see the external architecture. Internet page is not user friendly. We respect culture and it would not be a problem if we, as tourists, could identify that we will not be let to see it before we came there from the other part of Doha. So, female tourists, this is watch out for you. View from the parking lot))

Beautiful Architecture and design. This is women's section. Mashallah. A huge well designed mosque with a front side facing the city centre towers, you can consider it as one of the main Islamic landmarks of Doha, a place worth to be visited even for non-muslims.

One of the Qatar’s largest mosque located at dafna, the capacity of a Worshippers inside is around 3000 and under boundaries of the mosque can worship 3000 worshippers at a time. Whenever i visit this place i feel relax and my heart become so kind. Indeed god is one and he is Allah only.

The national mosque of Qatar is the largest in the country and has a striking architectural design with a enormous fort-like appearance and dozens of domes on its roof. At night these are illuminated white, and from Doha's tall buildings can be seen on the horizon for miles. The mosque has capacity for 30,000 worshipers in its grand white prayer hall, covered with red carpets and lit with simple chandeliers. Visits are only allowed outside of prayer times and should be booked in advance by calling ahead or arranged with a local tour agency. Visitors should also be aware that there have been a number of anti-Jewish and anti-Christian sermons at this mosque.

Beautiful mosque. For women, they give you abayas at the entrance, for free. For men, you can walk in. It's lovely in the sunset and at night, marvelous. You can go during praying hours and get to see the praying. There are Spanish speaking guides. This is a MUST VISIT.

It was a regular mosque... It was ok. By the way The İmam was a great man... I have never seen a presentation like this. He was really a good teller and he explained everything about mosque an the religion of İslam as well. (The imam and muezzin who are working in the mosque as leader and caller for pray...) Im totally impressed about their presentation and guidenes... I highly Recommend to visit this place...

I visited this mosque to perform a dhuha prayer before traveling to other cities. However, my family and I had an unpleasant experience where we got confused by the security. The first officer we met, was kind to direct us to which area we should go. But the second officer told us to go downstairs and go somewhere since they believe we are mere visitors. My wife got confused too, when she entered the ladies' entrance, many female officers gathered there and told her that time was not a praying time even though she told them wanted to do the dhuha prayer. Don't they know we can use masjid let's say to perform tahiyyatul masjid? Such a waste for the country to pay their salary

A huge mosque located in the city of Doha, the Qatari capital. The mosque was built in the old Qatari style. It has been described as one of the largest, largest and most beautiful mosques in Qatar. In terms of size and area, it was founded in the year one thousand four hundred and thirty-three AH. The Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Qatar was built by the founder of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani, in memory of his late father, Sheikh Al Thani. The mosque features The Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque is known as the Grand Mosque of Qatar; Because it is the largest mosque in it, it was opened in 2011. However, its simple lines and beautiful arches catch the eye and characterize Islamic architectural traditions. The mosque includes three libraries, separate halls for prayer and ablution for men and women, and special halls for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and accommodates more than 30,000 worshipers at one time. The mosque is distinguished by the presence of a number of bathrooms and ablution places, and there are large parking lots that have been provided for the convenience of worshipers The name of the mosque is Ali Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab....

Extremely huge mosque, with a very big prayer hall area. This place soothes your soul, we went for Friday prayers, mostly the crowd started coming in after 11 am only. From the veranda of the mosque, you get a very good view of the entire west bay line.

I went there earlier, not to know that we are not allowed to go inside. I pick this place as my destination as I saw lots of comments recommending this place. When I reach there, the security said it was closed, it closed everyday and I need to get a paperwork from government to enter. Even I showed him, why some people leave the review it is free and worth a visit. I came to a right place but not allowed to enter. Even though we have followed the clothes policy. Please put a special information regarding visiting, if its true that we are not allowed to enter or any specific requirement needed.

Standing atop hill the Grand mosque is an eye catching architectural structure. It's the largest mosque in Qatar and can accomodate upto 30000 worshippers. The grand mosque also offers a great view Doha Skyline.

This masjid is the biggest in Doha if not in all Qatar. It is composed of underground parking besides the many parkings around the masjid from the four corner. The ground floor is for men and is wide enough to include 11000 individuals. The second floor is for women and wide enough to include 1200 individuals. This masjid is located in a vital area near to Corniche and Dafna where the main towers are there. Thousands of people visit the masjid especially in Eid El Fitr and Eid Al Adha to celebrate the event. A wide garden surrounds the masjid and it is easy to go and leave from there. The view from the outer yard is amazing as it is higher than the surrounding area

Had gone there for the first time to see the mosque. We were dressed appropriately and went when the prayer time was over. The Sudanese guard on duty spoke so brashly, literally shouting and driving us away. He said ladies are not allowed no taking pics even from the parking lot. When I tried taking a pic he shouted saying to get in the car and go. I personally feel Islam is a beautiful religion and if I being a Muslim am being treated so it really makes me wonder how would other religions people be treated. Extremely heart broken.

The Most wonderful mosque in Qatar! All facilities are available here. Adequate car parking, large wudhu area, soothing sound system, large prayer hall, a library — all these are in one place. Only one thing I have disliked strongly: several cameramen stands on rows during khutba time. This is too irritating.

The State Mosque, or Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, is a unique mosque and a heritage design that represents Qatar’s ancient and modern heritage in building mosques. From the inside, you feel a beautiful spirituality in the mosque. It is designed in a new and beautiful way, not exaggerated, with beautiful columns and very spacious parking on the outside You will not face any problem in being there, as there are many parking spaces and are available to everyone, and the mosque has a distinguished location in the center of Doha.

Beautiful mosque. Very happy that as a non-Muslim tourist from the US, I was welcome everywhere but the prayer areas. Make sure to go during off hours (I went around 8pm) so as not to disturb any worshippers. They allowed me to take photos (but only with my phone - no “pro” cameras allowed). Added some I took to this review.
