Mixed
Experience
at
Turkish
Hospital
Doha.
I
recently
had
an
experience
at
Turkish
Hospital
Doha,
and
while
there
were
some
positive
aspects,
there
were
also
significant
concerns
that
need
to
be
addressed.
Here's
a
breakdown
of
my
experience:
Clean
Hospital
with
Minimal
Wait
Times:
Turkish
Hospital
Doha
maintains
a
clean
and
hygienic
environment,
which
is
crucial
for
any
healthcare
facility.
Additionally,
the
short
wait
times,
with
patients
rarely
having
to
wait
for
more
than
10
minutes
to
see
a
doctor,
are
commendable
and
reflect
efficient
management.
Racist
Behavior
by
Filipino
Nurses
:
Unfortunately,
my
experience
with
some
of
the
Filipino
nurses
left
much
to
be
desired.
The
fact
that
racism
was
observed
among
the
hospital
staff
is
deeply
concerning.
A
hospital
should
be
a
place
of
inclusivity
and
respect,
and
any
form
of
discrimination
should
not
be
tolerated.
Excessive
Prescription
of
Expensive
Medications:
One
of
the
major
issues
I
encountered
at
Turkish
Hospital
Doha
was
the
excessive
prescription
of
expensive
medications.
During
my
visit
for
a
simple
viral
infection,
I
was
given
a
list
of
medications
including
Advil,
nasal
spray,
betadine
spray,
cough
syrup,
and
a
box
of
multivitamins,
all
of
which
were
quite
expensive.
It
is
disheartening
to
think
that
such
a
prescription
was
provided
for
a
viral
infection,
and
it
raises
questions
about
the
hospital's
ethics
and
the
financial
burden
it
places
on
patients,
especially
those
without
insurance
coverage.
Lack
of
Consideration
for
Affordability:
The
high
cost
of
treatment
and
medications
at
Turkish
Hospital
Doha
raises
concerns
about
the
accessibility
of
healthcare
for
those
who
cannot
afford
it.
Hospitals
need
to
consider
the
financial
limitations
of
patients
and
provide
appropriate
and
affordable
treatment
options,
rather
than
prescribing
expensive
medications
unnecessarily.
In
conclusion,
while
Turkish
Hospital
Doha
maintains
cleanliness
and
offers
minimal
wait
times,
the
issues
of
racism
among
staff
members,
excessive
prescription
of
expensive
medications,
and
a
lack
of
consideration
for
affordability
raise
significant
concerns.
The
hospital
must
address
these
issues
promptly
and
uphold
ethical
standards
in
healthcare
provision.
