The oysters were delicious! I could have eaten 3 dozen probably that’s just how good they were. The shrimp and grits were amazing as well. When leaving we met a couple that had never been and, I told them they made a great choice! Will definitely go back

I especially like going here for lunch. The freshly cooked food is very delicious. The fried fish and coleslaw are very good, but I especially love the raw oysters, which are large and very fresh.

Such great food! Very packed for a Tuesday evening also. Always a good sign. Have to say, it's was a top 3 best steak I've ever had! Full of flavor and tender! Definitely saved for future stops. *Update* We wanted a healthy steak before heading out and we were NOT disappointed. 😍 We did learn these awesome rolls were supposed to be available for each meal and that we got jipped last night. But they're soooo worth the wait!

Such a delicious spot! It was a bummer they were out of oysters but the shrimp was super tasty. I got the 8oz ribeye with shrimp, garden salad and gumvo. The salad was a little sad but was a salad and their ranch was delicious. The cheese homemade busicuits were very tasty but a little greasy. The steak was grilled rare to perfection, my steak was moving on my plate. The gumbo was delightfully seasoned and was an explosion of flavor. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I will be back next time I'm in town.

Seated quickly even though the parking lot was packed as well as inside. Waiter came quick and so did the food. Hubs said the steak was too raw for his liking but mine was just right. The French fries were blah but the sweet potato fries, yum! The rolls were super soft and fresh. My fav was the coleslaw. A lot of places have coleslaw that just ends up cabbage with very little mayo and basically no flavor. The coleslaw here though, I would've been okay making dinner just out of that 😋 Only bad thing I can say about this place is the table next to us the waitress checked out them probably 50 times while we were there. Our waiter on the other hand wasn't seen until we were ready to go, despite our glasses being empty almost the whole time we were there.

Great place. I was really looking to try their oysters but they were out. Actually they were out of a lot. I went with the blackened shrimp, gumbo, and salad. I liked it all and the service was great. Maybe next time I’ll be able to try their oysters. I’d call first before you go to make sure they have them

What a fantastic place for a top-notch meal!!! The service was absolutely amazing. We were even asked if we had a favorite server. I got the ribeye and shrimp. It was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp utterlytasted! They left pitchers of tea for us to refill our drinks as needed. AND, the dinner rolls had a nice little cheesy surprise. Everything we were told about Hunts was spot on. Dine here, you will not be disappointed.

The oysters here are great and worth the visit. The steak reminded me of going to Ryan’s steakhouse back in the ‘90’s with my grandparents, lol. It was served on that weird sort of ‘insulated’ plate and it was swimming in marinade- tasty, but just not my style. The rolls were good, I suppose- but to me they were suited to very simple tastes and I like more ‘swank’ in my food. The service was friendly and we enjoyed eating here overall. I would come back for more oysters.

Love a good family owned restaurant!!!! Food was beyond amazing and delivered fast. The quality service you receive here is worth it if nothing else.

Stopped at Hunt’s on our way back home to Atlanta for lunch. Really enjoyable experience. No frills restaurant - just some good food with great service! Will be back on our next road trip through the area.

Nice stop on the way home from the beach. The ladies who work there are so very nice and accommodating. The Philly Cheesesteak and onion rings were very tasty.

This is a great restaurant. Excellent food and great service. We had crab claws as an appetizer and I had the blackened grouper with seafood gumbo. My wife went a little more tame with grilled chicken tenders and a baked potato. Everything was good. Will be back next time we come through Dothan later this year.

We was slightly confused when we first arrived at 3pm. Dinner/restaurant not opened. We got redirected to the bar area. Limited menu, oysters where market value. I just got a fish sandwich and I was not disappointed. Not heavily breaded, seasoned just right. Husband got shrimp pasta, he liked it and had leftovers. Waitress was super friendly also.

First time here. Went in the far side entrance; no one was there. It was after their apparent lunch rush. Waited a few minutes and a lady came out of a side room to the register, never even looked at us even though we were standing right at the counter. We waited to see if she would greet us and she never said a word. So while she did something at the register, after several seconds my husband asked were we in the right entrance and did we have to sign in since there was a clipboard and list on the counter, and there was no one in the dining room where we were at except for one couple. She said "No, you can seat yourself". We thought it very rude that she did not greet us when she came in to that area since she was less than 2 ft away from us while we stood there not knowing what to do. Please have someone at your front entrance to greet customers or if they have other duties, when they approach a customer then greet them and say something like "I'll be right with you"! At least acknowledge your customers. Not everyone has been here before and knows your routine. Our server, however was an experienced lady and she was very quick on her feet, told us of the special of the day, got our drinks very quickly, and put in our appetizer order right away. The food came out hot and fresh. We both got the special shrimp basket of the day. The coleslaw is excellent and the shrimp are very good, however the cheese grits are a little runny and need more salt to be added during the cooking because it's very hard to get grits to taste good if you haven't salted them while they are cooking. As for the atmosphere it's an older place so it's not fancy. The thing that bothered us the most though was we were sitting across from the kitchen entrance and the workers in the kitchen were cutting up and carrying on right near the door and one of them cursed out loud so that you could hear it in the dining room. These employees need more training as to customer service and protocol in a restaurant where people are trying to dine. We will be back but we will not want to sit in that area ever again. And hopefully, some of the employees will have more interest in the people that actually pay their salaries by visiting that establishment.

Brooke softly spoken but nice. Kept pitcher on table for quick refills. Salad bar was a little disappointing. Wilted lettuce and very small. ( is a seafood establishment but could have lots of improvements) prices seemed a little expensive for small portion sizes. Added 20% gratuity for a table of 8 even though checks were split but is understandable. Food was subpar for chicken tenders. Scrimp didn't have much flavor. Louder atmosphere than most.

Great seafood but disappointed in the limited menu for dinner or lunch. Couldn't get shrimp po boy for dinner 😩. The calamari and fried oysters were perfect .Cat fish fillets were good and fried beautifully Not big fan of the hush puppies .....dry & over cooked. Best part was the gumbo , awesome flavour and spiced just right. The coleslaw was great with an extra kick like dill and celery spice. I would go back just for the gumbo......need to have that as main dish not a side.
