I loved the food it was so local and very tasty. Especially the spices in the soup was unique. Definitely would recommend. Don't go to touristic places, the owner of this place is also very sweet.

Delicious food and very kind hospitable owner. He looked after us and did his best to make sure everyone enjoys the meal! The food fresh and healthy. Traditional Tunisian lunch! And was open during Ramadan!

Best food in Tunisia!

Amazing food , best I had in Tunisia by far. Menu is set menu, so no need to stress what to chose , around 30DTN Per person overall including drinks . Owned by Tunisian couple , wife cold while Husband serves it. Really tasty, traditional stuff And Host was very friendly and proud of His wife’s cooking … and rightfully so!

Mohamad welcomed us with an open heart and a big smile. There was no menu, but he took really good care of us and our needs (also providing vegan dishes) We all left the table very happy, having enjoyed every single bite of food we had. All the food was made by his wife at home and was quite delicious.

The owner was super friendly and made sure that we got what we needed. Vegetarian food is available, you just need to tell him. Food is homemade by the owner's wife. Very delicious couscous légumes! We left with a happy belly!

Superior host, local cuisine, and dishes rich in taste. 🙌😋 We visited this place for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the host. 🤗 Here, you would not find a regular menu with separate dishes but a complex one. We proceeded with the meaty one, and it was a good choice. One complex contains appetizers 🫒, freshly backed traditional bread 🫓, soup, Tunisian brik 🥟, and a traditional dish with meat, Tunisian salad and couscous.🍖🥗🍚 I am not a big soup lover, but I fell in love with their simple but delicious soup with a warm loaf of bread. ❤️ I would only consider making minor cosmetic reparations inside so that this unique place would be 5/5 in all categories. 😎 Thanks again to the host, who made our hearts and bellies complete. 😊

We loved the food. Traditional dishes and the owner is super lovely. 3 course meal with soup, main dish and dessert. I was really wanting to find this type of traditional food and I’m glad we found it. 100% recommend it.

Mohammed is a fantastic host. If you are an expat in Douz, don’t stay behind the walls of your hotel, get out and enjoy a traditional Tunisian meal made from fresh ingredients in the style of a French chef by a local and passionate Tunisian. We ate a 3 course meal with sizeable portions that we were not able to finish. The local lemonade juice adds a lovely local spin to the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.
