I was in this hotel for one night (tour 'Sahara in 2 days'). Quite 'bad' hotel I must say. Rooms are not clean and the hotel itself is as if it froze in time in the 70s. In our room the door did not close, we had to block it with a cabinet from the inside. The refrigerator kind a worked. The air conditioning did a good job though (new unit). The rooms are extremely noisy until late in the evening (bus engines running, doors slamming, someone even mowed or cut something at 2330 hours. It's hard to sleep in such conditions. Dinner was very good, breakfast was also OK. Hotel bar was ok, beer 12TD, drink 15-30TD. Can't judge the pool - didn't use it. I would add that the service was very nice and helpful. To sum up, unfortunately I do not recommend, especially for a longer stay.

Beautiful hotel with swimming pool, spa facilities and great staff. The dinner buffet was fantastic with healthy food. Fresh fish, vegetables and clean meats. The staff were brilliant. Multilingual and available to assist with anything we needed 24/7. Quad bike, off road motor cross and camel riding facilities were only 5 minutes away from the hotel, which is in a great location. Great stay, highly recommended.

Very beautiful hotel with very good service. Food is delicious and fresh. Toilets are really clean. I'm not sure about the rooms because we didn't stay there overnight, unfortunately.

Rooms were dirty, there where previous tenants items in the bathroom, old furniture, dark. Dinner was disgusting, only bread was eatable, breakfast a bit better. Restaurant dirty. Located in the middle of nowhere.

We have spent a lovely time with my wife in this hotel. The staff was very helpful and polite, the room was clean and the food was excellent. Also, the location of the hotel is perfect since it's near the desert. I also have to mention that the staff in the gift shop was very kind to us. Thank you for your warm welcome and your hospitality. We'll be back again.

On their sign it says 4* but it’s more like 3 or 2 stars to be honest. Room was dirty, not comfortable at all. Buffet dinner was really really good! But prices for drinks and coffee are quite high although I do understand that. Some stuff in the hotel was super nice but some of them super pushy. For example I was heading to my room which was really easy to find and porter run behind me. I’ve told hem that I don’t need him but he insist, took key from my hand and open the door. And than waited for money. Well ….

The rooms are very traditional, large and a lot of room with good Aircon. Very friendly staff, and an amazing atmosphere. The food is some of the best there is, with a lot of variety. Very calming atmosphere, and a overall great place to be :)

Only stayed here due to a 2 day excursion. Was pressured by staff to leave a 5 star review. Honestly it wasn't a 4 star hotel. It was dreadful, cold, terrible appliances in room. Horrible noises from a generator, food went straight through us, and well we turned the heating on which stopped the cold water to the room which in turn means no flushing toilets but the noise it makes as its trying to refill means heating needs to be turned off.

Trip to the Sahara. One night stay. Luckily. Hotel very old. The room's decor is still in the 1980s, including the TV from those years, which, by the way, didn't receive any signal. Towels with stains and only a sheet to cover the bed. People, I know there may be no budget, but it's 2023.... There's a strange smell in the room. I'm surprised that someone is booking a room here for their holidays. And three stars is probably a joke. I wouldn't even give it two.

Great service. Guest service manager took great care of us. One night stay on a tour and it's been fab. I think we need to remind ourselves that we are in the middle of a desert in Africa and you're not going to have all the western amenities....

We visited this hotel/hostel as part of an excursion we came on with TUI, it was close to the excursion near the Sahara desert, we were greeted by staff and seen to our room very quickly after a long day which was appreciated! All staff were friendly and helpful. Only scoring the rooms as 2 because of the shower, everything else was fine. However the shower curtain was dirty, the drain blocked so the shower took a long time to drain, the angle of the shower was difficult as it was placed on the side of the bath, and the water was going in between hot and cold. Shower gel and clean towels were provided.

Stayed here as part of a 2 Day Sahara Tour I did through TUI on my holiday to Tunisia. Staff were amazing, the souvenir shop was great, staff weren't too pushy either when you didn't want any, unlike some hotel shops I've experienced whilst being here, food was amazing, the area is gorgeous, grounds are beautiful. All in all, I was happy with my stay here!

We stayed in this hotel after our Sahara trip. The rooms were clean and smart. The food was great after the full day of exploring. Definitely worth staying when in the Sahara desert.

Beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff! We stayed here as part of a TUI trip to the Sahara desert and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was amazing and the hotel really didn’t disappoint! Thank you!

We stayed there over night as part of our Sahara tour explorer. Check in was easy, all staff friendly and helpful. We did not spend much time in the hotel as we had to wake up early for the next day, but they have arranged breakfast at 4.30am for all people on tour - which is highly appreciated. The romanian couple 😀

Like many other reviews, we visited this hotel not out of choice but for a 2 day excursion. It is not a 4.6 star hotel that the reviews say. There were hairs everywhere in our room, generally dirty and don’t drink the water. The air con in the room was good and everything worked, just outdated and unclean. Location was perfect for our excursion. Staff clearly work hard but sometimes too hard, asking for reviews etc.

We stayed here for a night and had a good time. The food was great and we even got an affordable massage at the hotel. Parking is easy and secure. The only thing I didn’t like was that one employee asked me to give the hotel a 5 star review (somewhat common) but then wanted me to do it right now and even hit the 5 stars himself. It’s unfortunate because the place was great and I would have given it 5 stars on my own. Overall, a great option to stay in Douz and would come back again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and content at all times. I really enjoyed my stay here. The food is amazing, very nicely presented. I would definitely recommend for people to stay here. Rooms are clean and tidy and very warm with extra blankets and pillows available.

Very nice stop during desert adventures. We stayed one night during a sahara tour, and it was a refreshing rest for sure. Rooms are in good condition, food was a nice and tasty, and they have the perfect litttle pool for you to rinse off all that dust!

Stayed for only 1 night (had to leave at 4am as on Sahara explorer tour). Was a great place to lay the head and the food was great! Better than the food at our hotel in Hammamet. Good quick check in with offers of massage, pool and bar.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of Sahara, beautiful stuff and very polite, room looks good. Food and restaurant very clean and delicious. Would recommend if you are going to Sahara to stay here. Pool is open all day long.

Excellent location - an oasis in the desert! Beautiful waterpool is open at late hours, so you can taste the flavor of desert night swimming in it. Welcoming bartender meets the guests and offers cold beer at a hot day. Stylish rooms with all the comfort you get used to in other locations.

This is a hotel in the middle of desert and everything was good. The TV and the WC wasn't working but who cares because everything is so unique. The food was good and they gave us breakfast at 5h in the morning. The wifi was strong and the pool was clean.

We had an awesome stay here, all 6 of us. The rooms are nice, and the service is excellent!! The food was perfect also! I cannot name anything bad from here. I would like to Thank Tamel from the souvenir shop also for the kindness! I highly recommend it for people wanting to have a good time in Sahara!😁

The hotel is perfectly positioned in Douz, a gateway to Sahara. The staff are perfectly welcoming, polite and helpful. The food is tasty, plentiful and diverse. The Internet connection is strong and through everywhere . The only remark is that the rooms are little bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom are not in their best shape and have seen better times. On the positive, the air-conditioning is strong, you can almost forget the outside heat, and the outdoor pool surrounded with palm trees, although somewhat small offers a welcoming refreshing and it is open in night time as well.
