Beautiful hotel...it has a traditional aspect...it kept the spirit of the desert...big hotel...cool swimming pool area...you can have a very pleasant stay because of the various activities in the area...you can go to a trip between the dunes. The inside of the rooms could have been much better. Its a bit old and need redecorating for sure

If you're looking for a quiet and beautiful hotel, El Mouradi Douz is the perfect choice for you. The hotel features a spacious and refreshing swimming pool that remains open until midnight. During our stay, there were not many visitors, so the pool was quite empty. There is no specific children's program at the hotel, and loud music is not a part of the atmosphere. The internet is fast, although it only functions in the reception area. The reception area is spacious and nice, and it features a billiard table. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The hotel offers a daily menu three times a day, although we did not try it as you can order food to the hotel from outside. The room was very comfortable and equipped with modern air conditioning. However, it was a bit dark and the television channels did not work. The hotel seems a bit left, which is evident from the tiles at the edge of the pool. But if I were to visit this city again, I would stay at this hotel.

We were very short here (only one night), so the 5-star was given based on very limited experience. But that was our impression.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Nice decor and food though could be improved by labelling food. As a vegetarian, I wasn't sure what I could eat so stuck to salad and bread. The pool was very clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Here you feel more welcomed than any other hotel in Tunisia! We loved it and we want to thank all the staff for their kindness and hospitality! You are the best!

The best hotel I have stayed in tunisia , from north to south (for tunisian standards ! ). Rooms are very clean and spacious. Air condition was working perfectly. Fridge was working. Staff is very helpful and also helped us arrange the touristic activities. Breakfast lunch and dinner ( we tried all three of them ) were good , again for tunisian standards. Swimming pool is the most beautiful I have ever seen. The best choice to stay in douz !

This hostel is a black spot. I have visited the city of Douz many times and it is a wonderful city with kind people. I have stayed in most of the accommodations and hostels in the city, which are generally great and the hospitality of the staff covers any shortcomings. However, this thing that does not deserve to be called a hostel, as the mistreatment begins from the entrance door, the security guards, especially the night shift, were like gang members, and the dirt is scattered from the main entrance to under your bed, if you can get past the rudeness of the receptionist. The furniture is dilapidated and dirty, the same food is repeated, the equipments shows the effects of the years and it seems that it has not been maintained for a long time. And when you leave, check your bill with them, as they seem to be not good at it. In short, it is a black spot and presents a very bad image of Douz and its kind people.

Very close to the desert! And a really lovely building! Initially we were in room 127, there was a very annoying intermittent sound that originated from an aircon unit, outside, I spoke to reception and maintenance and we were moved room. Which was ideal as we had a 6am start for a trip into the Sahara! A couple of other things: The internet speed was at its quickest in the reception area. The restaurant didn't accept card, but there are ATM's in the village Be aware that as soon as you check in you are likely to be approached by someone trying to sell you a treatment at the spa etc ! But, it is worth listening to them as you may get a great deal, The guy who runs the shop there is lovely, and loved to talk with me about football!

Just checking out of Hotel Mouradi today. The entrance hall/reception area is very grand when you first arrive. The rooms are a tad dated but if you can move past that, they have everything you need for a comfortable nights rest. The breakfast buffet is nice, the pastries were especially great. The WiFi is only in the reception area but works well when you're there. Overall a nice stay.

It’s ok hotel if you need to spend a night before Sahara Desert tour. Outdated facility, although the foyer and entrance are grand and built on massive scale but got stuck in 70th era . Breakfast was poor, very limited. No natural juice options only instant drinks. Coffee it could hardly call it coffee you would not be able to drink it. No butter- margarine option only . WiFi available only in the lobby area

Truly enjoyed my staying. Great position, nice personnel, majestic hall! Spacious and well furnished rooms. As it was my first time in Tunisia, I am glad I got to try several different types of food. Best part of it: the spa, very kind and professional team. Much needed massage after traveling for a long time, affordable and worth the money! It is a nice spot to relax as well as a good point to explore the desert, whatever the experience is, I suggest this hotel!

The facilities are overall average, but the stuff and the place are awesome, just in front of the Sahara , the city is gorgeous and the people are very nice and welcoming

I came here after a day trip from northern part of Tunisia and to be honest - I didn't see such kind of hotel! The rooms were so dirty that I wondered how to going to sleep? The toilet absolutely the same situation! The dinner - ok, some traditional local food if you like it, you'll enjoy it! Please be aware if you expect a hotel to be 4 stars here, be ready to realized that the stars are much less!

The place is old school and very dated. The food is mediocre and too expensive for what you get. The food service is "okay." The spa staff are not very motivated. The front desk staff are very nice, but it can be tough to get towels. The outdoor pool area is very nice with an excellent indoor pool. Unfortunately, the Jacuzzis were empty, and the indoor pool area is locked. They will unlock it if you ask, but you have to go ask. There is not a gym, which sucks. I do like the lobby area and the building. It really has a great "Old World" feeling. It could be so much better with some effort.

Nice pool and lobby. But i don't like food. And paying for water in restaurant is miserable for 4**** hotel. Garden is nice, many palms. Sahara is very close.

Keep away. This hotel looks abandoned and creepy. You're better off sleeping in a tent in the Sahara.

Air conditioning works not so well and it was really hard to switch s hot water in the shower. All the rest is fine.

Nice hotel considering it's in a desert. Decent food and pool, but the beds could be more comfortable and WiFi is only available downstairs.

It has great accommodations—it could definitely use a “facelift” in that it’s a bit outdated (facilities and such). We really enjoyed the indoor pool/jacuzzi!

The hotel staff required cash payment at first, apparently they didn't know how to operate the POS machine, after some struggle another member of the staff processed my card and we could check in. Other than this, the hotel is probably the best you can find this close to the desert. Everybody was very helpful and accommodating to our needs.

The hotel was picked for Sahara trip but the food is average, with no free water and I had an unwanted visitor (a big cockroach). The rooms are big and the pool was clean.
