This place serves farm raised salmon, and herb chicken that comes in a bag. With the amount it costs for a salad the salmon should be wild caught and the chicken cooked fresh to order. To top it off, it smelled like sewage in the seating area!!!! There are better places around with better ingredients.

First time ordering hear, and it will be last. Sometimes people place special orders due to allergies. The sandwich was made correctly, but under the bag of chips was a small portion of the ingredient that was asked to be removed. This left juices from the ingredient all over the bag of chips. This seems malicious to me. What was the plan to get someone sick by holding the bag of chips? Let the chef know he's a funny guy. I guess I throw away my order.

The restaurant was relatively busy with several Togo orders but my food came within several minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Pretzel Chicken Sando with the soup of the day (Chicken Roja something). The soup was flavorful but not spicy. Not too salty either (there is a salt shaker on all the tables in case you want to add more). The sandwich was a bit too greasy. When I picked it up, my hands were coated in oil. But the sandwich tasted great. The flavor combinations worked well together & I didn’t feel too heavy after I finished it (as you typically do with greasy food). The music here wasn’t too loud, which I appreciated. But it could’ve been a little lower imo.

The Plaza location surprisingly never has long lines. I get the Thai salmon salad or chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. The food is always fresh. The half salad size is more than enough for one person in one setting. Pics included.

This is my family's favorite spot in Kansas City for lunch. It's basically "build your own salad," and they've got a good sandwich menu for non-salad people. They make the salad in front of you. Fun and good.

Love the concept of this restaurant. You can order and eat there or easily get it to-go. The salad options are limitless and they make the salad right in front of you. I loved how they had sandwich and soup options as well. Wishing I had one in my hometown it was that good!

Always a go-to for work meetings with a vast selection. I’ve had just about everything on the menu over the years and it’s always been very good. Pictured is the Aloha Poke bowl.

Food is good but very expensive. Also, on the DoorDash you can't pickup food but you can have it delivered using the platform. Major oversight there in the setup. Please change this. DoorDash has great promos especially if you pickup. I will never use the deliver service since my office is 200 ft from the location. Food is good quality but again expensive and not great serving sizes. Overall its kinda my last resort when Im stuck at the office.

Love this place! Their food is consistently fantastic; from the salads to the street tacos. The staff is so fast and friendly, it makes the busy times tolerable and quick! I love dining in or taking out, both are made convenient with quick turn around times and a super pleasant experience and atmosphere.

It was good. We're never been there before. I tried the street tacos and my husband had the club wrap. You order from a counter so it's like cafeteria style, but very good. It looks very nice in there. Quite a few tables to sit at. They have lots of options from bowls to salads and sandwiches.

Probably top 3 favorite places to eat in KC. So many delicious, healthy options! And they don't compromise flavor for the health aspect. Its an awesome balance. Highly recomend the Garden of Eden Salad or Southwest Salad. Sweet potato fries are a yummy addition. Highly recommend!

Always had great food and friendly service from these folks. Healthy options, tons of salads and bowls. Their falafel is GF and super tasty. Don't sleep on that Thai salmon salad, for real!

The salad i had was great. Its a far cry from Saladta of Dallas - but a fairly decent salad nonetheless.

Behind the counter staff is off the charts strong. Pleasant, courteous, expedient. Great spot for a nice break from the office . Two things tho....the bread is atrocious. I mean throw out the window terrible. Days without Tomato soup on the menu are very unpleasant. Especially when ordering for someone else. Overall.....solid as heck.

Delicious!! We live out of state but come to KC every couple of years for chiefs and/or royals games. We discovered The Mixx in August and since then have been counting down the days until we returned in October. We went there everyday for lunch this visit. The rocket is the best salad I have ever had. Everyone is very friendly and the line moves so efficiently. I am so very sad as we don’t have anymore trips to KC planner for the next long while, but whenever we visit in the future The Mixx will always be on our to-do list!

The Salmon Chowder is amazing I had it 3 straight days and it got better and better I just wish it was served a little bit hotter great stuff yum yum! But I’m giving 4 stars for the chowder the take is messed up because the cup and the bowl are the same size if you order to go never again will I get a bowl of soup to go from there omg!

It was GREAT! They have lots of salad options to choose from and a variety of dressings, so I will definitely go back. I tried for my first visit their Santa Fe chicken salad and asked for the dressing on the side.. just in case! Yum!! Can't wait to try the tacos 😋

This is my mother's favorite restaurant so we went here for lunch. I had the classic blue & she had the Mediterranean veggie wrap. The blue cheese ailio spread on my classic blue was delicious! The blueberry kombucha was a bit pricey but yummy!! 👌💖😋

My first time visiting. Everyone was so friendly. The young man who made my salad was so kind and sweet. The young lady who rang you even helped me to my seat. A very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this place.

First of all the food is amazing. I don't generally get the soups so I cannot comment on those but my favorite thing is the Thai Salmon Salad (made with arugula). Eugene keeps the line flowing, carmen is very friendly and Lundy will remember your name and order. Try the sweet potato fries. You deserve them!

Ate here and we were able to sit outside. I got the Cobb salad and substituted steak with some blue cheese instead of chicken and it was absolutely delicious! The small salad size was generous and lasted me for 2 days. We also got the half sandwich with a cup of soup and the tomato basil soup was really really good, highly recommended! Will return again when I get the chance

Great healthy food but portions need re worked. The quinoa/grains is way too overzealous. Would rather have toppings that are in more proportion to the main-menu item ordered.

Great menu and location on Plaza. Lightening is a little too low for my liking but then again they aren't offering dine-in at the moment. Patio flowers were being refreshed tho.

Their salads are good, fresh ingredients but the last couple of times I specified for the ingredients to be chopped & they’ve disappointed these past couple of times . Highly recommend their chicken sandwich!

Fantastic food with so many gorgeous colors!! And the staff were wonderful:) Only downside is the price, but I will say you get a lot for your money

Loved this place. Salad was great, but the brussel sprouts still have me dreaming about them. They were incredible. Wish they'd tell me how they make them. I was there over the lunch hour, so the place was pretty busy, but had no trouble finding a place to sit. It was a bit pricey for me to have lunch there too often, but definitely a place to look forward to on occassion. I wish their nutrition information was more readily available.

The Mixx is located just south of the plaza next to the new Kansas City public library. I stopped in at noon on a weekday to pick up salads. I'm guessing they have a decent amount of carryout business because there were three people in front of me and it took a while for the line to move. Salads cost around $12 for a small (which is what most people would be interested in) and $14 for a large, which is very large. I guess these are Midwest portion sizes. If you want toppings outside of the norm, like avocado, you'll pay extra. They are good sized salads with plenty of toppings. There is actually more meat on them than I would prefer. They serve sandwiches and soups as well as some desserts like cookies. They have a nice clean dining room and a spacious patio that they share with the restaurants next door including Chipotle. If you're driving to park there is very limited parking right outside the restaurant and across the street. They share parking with other businesses including the library. $32 is a little bit high for a couple of salads for lunch. My big complaint is that the lettuce was not chopped up into smaller pieces, I had to cut it up myself before eating it. For the money this is just above average.

This place makes you feel like you've done yourself a favor. With all the salad varieties you could ask for, sandwiches, soups, and tons of vegan and gluten free options, there's really something for everyone. They have a nice little patio area too. The beet salad was amazing!
