We were in Dresden for a long weekend. We booked a steamboat tour and stopped at Pillnitz castle. We were lucky with the weather and fully enjoyed the beautiful fall colors. The garden is huge so we did a lot of walking and visited the Dutch gardens, Orangerie, Chinese pavilion, etc. We went inside one of the museums and it was ok...nothing spectacular but still very interesting. We wanted to save time and did not eat lunch at any of the restaurants or cafes. We unfortunately did not go to the water area and take pictures from the steps of the museum. We only realized this after we were already back on the boat. It was a nice day trip from Dresden.

Beautiful on a snowy and sunny day, just perfect for a stroll in the park. Worth stopping at the bakery on the way back to the car park. Great selection of lovely sweet and savoury items.

Great gardens to walk around in and see all the beautiful plants. There are restaurants too and ice cream places.

Beautiful palace on the outskirts of Dresden with a park, palmhouse, orangerie, and museum. This used to be the pleasure palace and garden of August the Strong in the 17th century. The museum is small but informative. Best are the different gardens and the Chinese and English Pavillions.

If you are in Dresden, something you should definitely visit, half an hour from the center of Dresden, by car, although you can also use public transport.

The park is beatiful for a walk, for us was one hour enough for all garden space. The description in interiors castle and garden description also could be translated to English language, they are only in German language. To interiors you must put down rucksack.

An amazing castle with a beautiful garden! I have been to this castle countless times, yet I still enjoy strolling in the garden, overlooking these colorful and stunning castles. The entry fee to the garden increased to 5 euros recently, but it's still completely worth it.

Only the outside part and Garden area is amazing. Not many stuff inside. Most of them already gone and many of them are Chinese stuff. When I were there there was art exhibition inside the castle and I think it was bad idea, cose I could not enjoy the room tour with many modern art stuff inside.

An excellent castle where the garden is maintained really well by the authorities. A beautiful walk way had been created for the walkers to experience the beauty of the entire castle. Thanks for the workers who maintain this place which provide an eye feast to the people who visit this place.

Beautiful castle with large well maintained gardens. The castle building has a baroque architecture and was restored. It is one of the popular places for festivals and events. To walk through the castle gardens including the Orangerie and the Dutch gardens is very relaxing. The views of the river Elbe from the castle premises are indeed pretty. Definitely worth a visit if in/around Dresden!

Pillnitz is one of the most beautiful spots around Dresden that you can visit all around the year. The entrance fee into park is well worth it. The flowers, trees and vegetation is breathtaking. The red squirrels are busy and the river Elbe going gently buy is just a Amazon scenery.

(Translated by Google) Always an experience, even if nothing is in bloom. All the grounds are very well maintained and the gardeners have started planting. Even the Schlosskaffee had a small ice cream stand and a snack. So food and drink are also provided. We recommend. Entry is still free and even if it is then again subject to a charge, you will be happy to pay when you see how much effort is put into preserving everything. Toilets were also open. A very nice employee keeps everything in good shape. So always a great excursion tip. Also immer ein toller Ausflugstipp.

What a location. We stayed at the hotel. Rooms are clean. Excellent power shower. The restaurant was excellent. The staff are very polite and helpful. The palace gardens are a nice walk, and the view across the river is great. Take a trip on the paddle steamer into Dresden, it made a fantastic day.

A visit is recommended alone for the gardens. Entry fee to access the gardens was €3 p.p. To access the various buildings and the gardens it was €8 p.p. Access to the paths and viewing points along the river Elbe are free. Restaurant and souvenir shops are also available to all visitors.

(Translated by Google) Great park, with many different, rare, unusual plants and tree species. You can walk through it comfortably in about 2 hours. What is not to be exchanged now are the fees: parking fees, entrance fees, if you want to go into the building it costs extra and even in the park you pay for the tiolette visit. Perhaps the operators should think about a uniform price concept ... Then there are guitar players in the park who hold up their wallets. Unfortunately, you don't have any peace and quiet. There are similar parks in other big cities where the wallet is not drained so quickly! Here you think after a visit, as far as the wallet is concerned, I was now in an amusement park or in an "urban" park!

(Translated by Google) Rip off... Would be there at the end of October 2020. Palm house closed. The camels already packed. Nevertheless we had to pay the full entrance fee. But the most disappointing thing was the exhibition in the castle: Bulky garbage from the street, or furniture from the 70s, no idea. Wasn't worth the time. I was very sad that only about 15% of the very great and imposing castle from the outside had been historically restored and prepared. An entire grand piano was simply painted white and stuffed with ugly modern art. The other wing as written above with bulky waste exhibition ... In short: for free it would have been nice, for the 14eu we paid it would have been a cheek. But the park and the outside view of the castle are very, very beautiful and somehow made up for it 😏 (Original) Abzocke... Wären Ende Oktober 2020 da. Palmenhaus geschlossen.
