👍 My hunt for good cakes and pastries led me to find this beautiful Cafe offering a wide range of pastries and sweets. The ambience is great and the staff is very friendly. The bread and baguette is also very good. Highly recommended for a coffee date! People often mention cake, cakes, visit,

We had breakfast here on a weekend. Really nice bakery. My husband ordered a croissant from the breakfast menu, while I had a baguette from the counter. They were around the same price, but my husband mentioned that my baguette looked better. He enjoyed his croissant with chocolate spread though. Cakes here also looked very nice. The staff at the bakery were friendly too.

If you're looking for a classic coffeehouse (*not a bakery, not a French confectionery, not a new wave coffee shop*) with a bit of a twist, (so you don't have to eat the same kinds of cakes that all places seem to provide in Dresden, I mean... how much Eirschecke and Apfelkuchen can one eat?) Wippler is your spot. I come here as often as I'm around. The cake selection is so wide, it gives me anxiety. If you ever wanted to experience that, I suggest you to try spending embarrassingly long minutes in front of the counter, staring at the cakes and debating which one you should taste (all, naturally). The atmosphere is relaxed, but a bit more elegant, than the average. If you want to write your first novel, this is the place you should write it at. (Sitting in front of the window, sipping on coffee, preferably) They have WiFi and you can pay by card. They don't have a terrace, that's good to know. I like to give credit where credit is due, so I must mention a young waiter who made a very good impression on us the last time we were there. He's enthusiastic. Kind. Fast, but patient with the guests. He has a smile on his face and he speaks English. Dresden needs more servers like him. Give him a raise.

Superb superb place, the Dresdner cake and the Sacher torte as well as their quiches are an absolute must try! Whenever I visit Dresden, I make it a point to visit this favourite place of mine. One of their young male waiters is absolutely charming, I can't remember his name though.

We bought mushrooms and cheese pie in this bakery and the taste was great. There were so many selection of bread and breakfast food that this place offer. I really enjoyed our visit there. I am not sure about the parking but this place is located in next to the main street.

Here is a nice place to have a cake and drink coffee. They offer very nice cakes, ice cream, coffees and food. They have also gluten-free options. The staff is friendly and polite and the place is warm and peaceful. I would recommend Kaffee Wippler if you are around Loschwitz area and try to find somewhere to eat nice cakes

This café's staff are very unfriendly on the way they speak to and treat customers especially when you don't speak German. I bought a cake on the counter (and paid) and went to the table when the waiter, Herr Aljeis, took it from my hands to get it in a plate while telling us we "would get punished". The signs were all in German and I didn't know there was a difference between eating inside or out, and explained them this. I went to pay for the latte and they charged me the cake twice, with another waiter telling me it was my own fault in a very condescending tone, and that it was everywhere in the world like this. (Spoiler: it's not; I've been to several countries and never got treated with such rudeness in a café) So I paid twice for a cake I ate once. Some other customers came in and the same rude waiter showed them the door and told them in a very patronizing tone they should go outside and read the sign before coming, and take their time. They just left and he joked loudly about them so everyone around could hear, mocking them. Overall very unfriendly atmosphere, don't recommend. I don't care about paying extra €2, but the condescension was unnecessary and unwarranted from both waiters.
