Update! 11/4/22: they responded to my review essentially calling me a liar. However if you read any negative review this place has the manager/owner will respond and call them liars or come up with an excuse. Also yes other people were drinking their own beverages. But if you would have fully read my review you would have see were I mentioned that we were most likely denied service for being tourists. It’s a shame this place is run by petty owners who won’t actually investigate when their staff is rude. I have worked in the restaurant industry so I fully understand that the customer isn’t always right but in this case, the customer was treated rudely and harshly. If I could leave zero stars I would. Showed up to watch the game tonight and they were extremely rude, ignored us the entire time. Refused to serve us when we went to the bar. We then asked if we could sit outside and they said they wouldn’t serve us but we could sit outside. We then went outside to sit and then they came out to turn the tv off. Not sure if it’s because we were American or not. Either way wouldn’t recommend.

I stumbled on to this bar by chance. The staff were friendly, and the pint of Guinness I had was great. Inside was lots of Irish memorabilia. We will definitely visit here again, when we return to Dresden.

Stayed at hotel across the street, came in for a couple of beers. Love the atmosphere, great Irish pub setting. The cottage pie was fantastic. Recommend this place.

Short version: very rude staff/antisocial behavior Long version: Wanted to watch the Dortmund vs. Bayern game however inside was fully reserved, which is understandable. However they had the game outside as well so my friend and I sat down to watch. About 10 minutes later a staff member passing by rudely said the area was closed and continued on before we could respond. I walked up to another waitress and politely asked if we could sit and watch the game and the only response that was given was „we wont serve you“. I therefore assumed it was ok to stay, accepting that we cant order drinks. 30 minutes later into the game they shut off the TV outside, even when other customers who were on their smoke break asked for the game to be turned back on for them (the staff response was to point to us). Not once were we asked to leave, however it was clear at the end that we were not welcome (though we would have gladly ordered some drinks)

We came to this bar on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. We are from Ireland and were looking forward to checking this place out. When we arrived the bar was half full and there were about 12 empty tables with reserved signs on them. There were 5 of us and we couldnt get a seat anywhere and the staff could see this but noone seemed willing to help. We then tried to get a seat at the bar. No one said hello, no one came near us to serve us, we had to try and ask for service about 4 times. One of the staff behind the bar even said "Jesus Christ" when we asked if we could get served and walked away from us while staring at a phone in their hand. Another staff member claimed they were busy as they stood and slowly sliced some lemons. We were in the bar for about 20 minutes and then gave up and left. I can genuinely say this bar on this particular day had zero hospitality and was quite literally rude and as this was our first ever time in Dresden it was a most unwelcome initial experience of the city. Could not even get a beer after asking several staff several times and was made to feel like we were most unwelcome. Being irish and having travelled most of the world I can genuinely say this is the most unpleasant Irish bar experience I have ever had and I've been to literally 100s in many countries over a period of 30 years. The bar looked nice and we wanted to stay but we were all so disappointed with the horrible welcome and total, seemingly intentional poor service from the staff. Being Irish, I don't think this pub deserves the honour of being labelled an Irish bar. Sorry, but that was my experience and that of my family too :(

This is a great place to have some amazing food & drinks and meet some very eccentric people! It's definitely a fun place to visit in Dresdin!

Couple of pints of cider to finish off a day in Dresden. Wanted to eat there, but the day didn't pan out that way. Will definitely go there again when next in town.

The Music was Not typical for a pup. And the Burger 🍔 was okay, but i hat better Burger before.

Let me tell you a little story about the “rock”. My best good Irish buddy and I rolled into Dresden on St. Patty Macs day, locked and loaded with our green flannels and ready to see how the Dutch get down during the Irish extravaganza. The Shamrock delivered on most fronts. The bangers and mash were on point, the beer and Jameson were rolling right, and the service was great. If there’s one thing that was weird, it was the band playing Sweet Home Alabama on our lord and saviors day.

Lovely atmosphere, nice and attentive staff, great location and decor. Food left me a little disappointed but overall would try again.

More a restaurant first than a bar as first impression... (although my visit was over the Easter weekend at lunchtime so not that busy) Spacious and comfortable with a range of local beer (Freiberger) along with obligatory Guinness and Kilkenny.

Such a wonderful pub! So cosy and friendly. 😊 The gentleman serving is was really nice too. We will be back again! Highly recommended for your cosy pint in Dresden. ❤️

The pub is rightly located very near to the centre and hosts a great crowd. It is open till 2am, but the food stops being served by 12, which is why the 4 stars. The ambience is awesome. Pure Irish vibes and country and folk music playing live. The bartenders are cool, and the drinks are solid. Mixed crowd of all ages enjoy the setting.

Had a fantastic time here! It was early evening so was very quiet but it was excellent service and the staff were attentive & quick to serve drinks and food. The kid’s menu was loved by my child (apparently kids eat free on Sundays). Will be back again if we return to Dresden for sure. Thank you for a lovely family friendly time.

it is nice but very different crowd than Neustadt. Somehow, it is not as comfortable as the other side of the city.

Good Irish beer, excellent choice of Irish whiskey - Green spot is my recommendation. Nice fish and chips. May be a little crowdy in the evening. A very good place.

Nice little pub with a friendly staff. Got a free whisky as they were promoting a new whisky Slane Whisky. Also tried out a new old game from Ireland called Rings

It was full the night we were there so they must be doing something right but I didn't think it was a great atmosphere. Maybe if you're a regular you get a different vibe. I was just there for the weekend

Pretty nice atmosphere, you can enjoy a wide variety of drinks and sports games. Slightly overpriced, but that could be because of the central location.

I am giving this a 2 star because so far I really liked and appreciate the food, the ambience and the drinks here, but, unfortunately I faced a situation which I really didn't like and somehow it questions the management. So this is the second consecutive day (a Saturday night) I go to the Shamrock Restaurant, and I sit there with my boyfriend and a friend and order three drinks to a nice lady who is nice to me so far I have visited. Then comes another lady, with dark hair, fair skin and shorter than the other one and says there is a problem with the system, so order again. I normally trust this bar, so I did. We keep drinking, I saw the first lady coming down with the same order again and going back seeing that we received the order. After a while, comes another younger lady (blonde hair) with the same order again and the first lady who took our order sends her back. WE NEVER TOOK DOUBLE ORDER. Then when we were about to pay, comes the bill double of what I should pay. I said we never had double orders, the lady with dark hair took the order saying there is a problem with the system, but the first lady disagrees. She calls the dark hair lady and suddenly she acts innocent. I was like 😱 And then comes the lady with the blonde hair to prove that I really didn't have that drinks. But the first lady gave me my money back saying, that she knows I drank it. And when I asked her to check the cameras, she says HAPPY EASTER. The younger blonde lady was really nice to us and offered free drinks again next time because she knew that we didn't do anything wrong and she understood the situation. The whole fault was of that shorter dark hair lady who deceived us saying system is faulty and made double order. I am sorry I always recommended this bar in Dresden. I won't do that anymore. If someone goes there....they should check out with whom they are making the order.

Nice Irish Pub with good food and a large choice of english pub food and beer. We sat outside by good weather . Inside the pub is inviting and cosy. Would definatly go again

One of the better Irish Pubs in Germany. I found it pretty good, welcoming, friendly service, and the Irish feel you look for when you want to relax in an unpretentious place. I'd recommend stopping by if that's your scene.

I really liked it here. There was live music and the musicians were really good! We had fun and tasty beer and I will definitely come back ❤️
