Beautiful train station. Fairly damaged during WWII, but rebuilt post war times. Old part of the station is still stunning. Easy access to trains. Lots of shopping and restaurants inside the station and within very close walking distance from the station. Luggage storage is available. Trams to various parts of Dresden directly outside the station.

Overall good and efficient railway station. The selection of stores and food is a bit limited compared to other central stations like Liepzig or Munich. But then again, it's Dresden. ;-)

Fits as a central station. All food and grocery shops are available at the station. The hbf and hbf nord are the local stations that are near the central station.

Station has history! It survived WW2 bombing by the Americans. Now it has a lot of services including Subway and some bakeries and some stores where you can buy snacks and other things necessary for the journey.

The main train station in Dresden and currently undergoing renovation, although all the facilities seem usable. There's lots of shops here, many of which are located in the lovely arched passage with the steel arches visible below the glass. It's fairly easy to get a ticket with either the manned booths or automated ticket machines. I thought the station and platforms were confusing to navigate unlike the usually straightforward stations in Germany and there was only one departure board that I could see. The station is also a useful connection point as many of the trams also stop right outside the station. Fine to use, but hardly an architectural masterpiece of design or engineering.

Nice and not small railway station with a small shopping center inside.

Spacious, beautiful and functional. It is also next to a decent shopping complex outside of the station. Retro look. When we visited a week ago before hopping onto rostock train, few shops had been closed and it was quite a silent place on a Saturday.

Dresden central Station is a very old and decorated railway station. There are a lot of shops inside the railway station where you can get food, coffee or some souvenir. This station is connected with other parts of Germany and other countries.

Beautiful and clean, with lots of police, which is good, I feel safe. :) Merry Christmas to all! :)
