Beer garten and beer is good. But the food we had like schnitzel, leberkasse and all were so pathetic that schnitzel was like a biscuit, not at all recommended to have food from there. If you want inly beer then its good to spend time there.

Good food, generous portions and a nice atmosphere overall. If you go there in the winter just grab a table indoors. They have blankets and heaters for outdoor dining (covered). But the heaters are no match for the brutal Saxony winter!

Always a great place to go for some good authentic german food, a great atmosphere and a wonderful view across the river and this beautiful bride.

Huge portions for a reasonable price. It is what the Germans call "gut bûrgerliche Küche ". It tastes great, it doesn't cost too much and looks good. Together with the beer garden directly at the river elbe. Great evening. I can just recommend it to everyone who visits dresden

Amazing location, great views of the river, bridge and the hill on the other side. Good beer, food was decent but had better even in a busier Beergarden. Would definitely return though

Glad to have found this place! Service was great (all the staff I interacted with were friendly and accommodating). Lots of indoor and outdoor seating means little to no wait (that said and depending on the season, it might be a bit of a wait for the patio that overlooks the Elbe and Blaues Wunder. Food was delicious and well prepared (nothing oversalted, over- or under-cooked, etc.). I ended up eating here twice during my visit and enjoyed both times. Overall, this restaurant is much better than one across the river.

Even though this place can be busy they seem to always have an open seat. Food is traditional German fair and well prepared. Very tasty. Their deserts are not to be missed. Ate here twice during a week long visit, not disappointed.

The food was really good and hospitality was way better. We spent some quality time on Friday evening. It was late night but perfect. Must visit place if you wana have a good dine. The dishes ordered - trout and half grilled chicken.

Not sure if they are local service limited, short of creativity or narrow minded... I am sure they are not willcoming enough. Yet, working stuff were very efficient.

Very good food, excellent beer, large portions. The servers are very nice and accommodating, it’s feels like a comfortable place because of their great service. My mom lives in Dresden and speaks German, I speak only English so they were very nice when giving me an international menu printed in English and a few different languages. The server let me practice German when ordering and was patient and kind.

Real German Restaurant culture. Great location, great history, pretty view. Recommended

Nice spot by the river, sit in the sun with a beverage watching the world go by. Some of the clientele are a bit snobby but they are easily ignored

An authentic old German restaurant. Friendly servers though the service is slow. Beware that some of the most beautiful spots (overlooking the river) have many bees that will sting people sitting at their favorite tables.

Very cute place by Elba always crouded...Very solid food huge portions...Last lunch was a bit of dissapointment...I ordered pike persch with asparagus and holandaise sauce (meal was delisious previous day). Unfortunately I was served with tick white sauce and few small pieces of asparagus in it😥

Nice place - seems authentic to a non- German. Staff know basic English. Food was good, felt like home made. Prices were reasonable enough.

Very beautiful place for rest near the Elbe River. They have very often live music. I listened jazz music, drunk a 🍺 and ate a delicious sausage.

I did like a lot of the food. And very important, the service was really nice. We disnt have a reservation but we gota a table very fast (we did have a limit of 2 hours before the table is taken). The waiters were very polite.

Great experience there! The staff is friendly, the service is efficient and the food was very tasty. You get very good portions for a very reasonable price. They have vegetarian options (see pictures). They also have a ‘counter’ outside with a grill and fries, perfect for a takeaway for instance. They are also generous on the beer! In addition, the location is perfect, just next to the ‘Blue Wonder’ and by the Elbe. Warmly recommend this place!
