Delfinarium Zoo Duisburg

Zoo

😠 I can’t believe this facility still exists. Absolute animal torture. Free those poor dolphins. They’re depressed and dying of boredom. You need to see behind the facade. It’s made entertaining for humans, but think about how the animals feel. People often mention show, animals, great, dolphins, Dolphin, amazing, kids,

One of the main attraction of Duisburg Zoo is the Delfinarium (for Dolphin show). There is no separate ticket for entering Delfinarium and is included in the Zoo ticket. Infact, there is no one to check your ticket as well and you can watch all shows of the day. Generally there are 3 shows everyday, sometimes number of shows are increased by 1 or 2. The show lasts 40-45 minutes, but to get a better place, one should get in there 15-20 minutes before the show starts. Before the show starts, one can have a closure look at Dolphins in the pool from the walking ramp with glass walls of the pool. Once the show starts, jaws easily gets dropped by the actions performed by Dolphins. Front seaters (two rows) are drenched with water splashed by Dolphins as the last activity before they return to deep waters. It is a highly recommended stop-point in Duisburg Zoo.

I was not impressed. As a matter of fact, it made me sad to see beautiful dolphins in captivity. In a landlocked place, no less. The pool looks filthy, and to use the animals for the amusement of others is sick.

Absolutely amazing show with fun for everyone. Choose your seat wisely though or you could end up with more than you bargained for.

One of the best little Zoo with amazing Dolphin show!! Clutter free, spacious and friendly staff. After every 15-20 minutes, toilets and restaurants are there for one to relax. Kids get plenty of playing area too. Must one in this small beautiful town Duisburg!!

One of the best dolphin show I have seen. You are expected to go an hour advance to the entrance as there is limited places and time slot. Kids really enjoyed the dolphin show, it’s one of the best place In Duisburg zoo to go with family. We shaw the show from a little window on the backside of the entrance as we could not get in time in the queue which was still okay whereas you can go afterwards also inside the dolphin area.

Awesome place.. the dolphin show is a must watch.. the seal show was good but dolphins stole the experience altogether.. other animals were okay. The aquarium was also nice.. it was worth visiting along with kids..

Very nice show. Lot of information about delifins. Children were delighted, so as adults. But watch out! It can be very wet ;)

Its not a big zoo. There are the basics animals. Also too many of the animals are active in the afternoon.But...the dolphins are very inteligent and amazing .Great show. Its the half reason to go.

This is a great zoo and worth the money. It's great to see the improvements being made. My children loved the dolphin show. The zoo is easy to navigate, being able to see the whole zoo easily in 5-6 hours.

The show was amazing! It looks like the animals have a great relationship with their trailer and they were very well fed. At the end of the show the team told us that if you don't want to get wet you better move to the back seats, that was great!

Great show, The instructor keeps the audience engaged with his wit (in German language only) the show was just mesmerizing. You can attend the show for all the 3 times if you wish. Not only kids everyone liked it. Sit on 3rd 4th row from down to get the most of it.....Carry spare clothes if you wish to sit in lower half section 😊. Worth it.
