This is a wonderful and safe waterfall cascade area as the name suggests. You have to be careful of the flow but can still hold children with your hands and safely have them play in the flow. There are clean washrooms and play areas within the the compound. Also there are good snacks and small wares shops in the area.

The sound of the water and the peaceful atmosphere are truly refreshing. It’s best to visit early in the morning or late afternoon to enjoy the calm surroundings. There are no big shops or eateries nearby, so carry your own snacks and water. The path down to the river is quite slippery, so be extremely careful. There are no warning boards there. Watch the first video to understand how crazy risky it is, if one is unprepared. If you’re looking for a less crowded, picturesque place away from the usual tourist spots in Araku, Chaprai River is definitely worth a visit. We got an opportunity to witness the Araku tribal dance.

A good place to be to see the lazy flow of a stream over a rockey falls. The entry in thisnppace is Rs 50 per person for adults and Rs. 30 for kids. The place is good, but need people to be sensible on the topic of discarding waste.

You must stop here and take a break while traveling towards Araku. Place is beautiful, good for some pictures. Depending on how adventurous you are, you can even get into the water. Take a dip, or just enjoy the local snacks. Luckily I even witnessed a group local tribal women dancing and singing. They offer traditional cloths on rent for pictures. It has a nominal entry fee. Note: It's not a waterfall!!!

I love this place. Visited several times. A little crowded place but the natural scenery is awesome. The stream is superb. Tribal people are selling kathi kabab,which is a special attraction of that place

Chaparai means rock mat...rocks and water. People can slide down the rocks along with the water...bring a towel and change of clothes. Tribal man and woman dresses for hire and it is very good for a photo pose. Tribal garden. Washrooms and changing rooms. Tribal dance.

I recently visited this place with my family, and we had a wonderful time. My son and daughter especially enjoyed it, as it’s a beautiful water cascade with water flowing gently over the stones—perfect for a fun and refreshing experience. I highly recommend this spot for people of all ages. However, please be cautious, as the stones can be slippery. Avoid any risky activities, and ensure safety comes first. If you're visiting with children, I suggest bringing swim rings for added safety, especially if there’s flowing water. A silicone swimming cap is also a good idea—it helps keep water out of their ears and adds extra protection. We had such a joyful time, and I’ve even attached some videos where my family members are dancing along with the local performers. It’s a place full of natural beauty and happy memories!

Entry alowed at Rs.50 per adult to this beautiful landscap. Water was chiil and little muddy but there was continous flow of water. The rocky arrangement in the flow formed a natural water slide

First order your lunch ( prefer bamboo chicken biryani, which takes approximately 40 min to cook) pay in advance for your order (100 advance). Total cost 350 approximately. Then enter chaparai water fall. Here tribal dress up, dance and photographer are available. Tribal dress up 150rs, dance 100 rs, photographer 100/ photos. Water flow was less, may be it differ based on season.

A unique experience of enjoying water flowing on a plain rock. Can walk on it, enjoy the water gushing over our feet. Best to walk across, sit on small rocks in between the waters, and enjoy the views around. Has neatly maintained gardens and shelters to relax and enjoy nature around. Water can be too cold depending on the weather. Road side parking only, but there is ample space.

This water cascade is well developed. Street vendors are not allowed inside like before who littered the place. Tourist have the opportunity to dress up in tribal attire and can take part in Dhimsa dance and click photos for the price of Rs.150/- only.

Good place to visit … A local tribe group offers a facility to dance along with them with costumes arranged by them for cost. Dancing along with them is a memorable experience as well Be careful with kids when in water - it could be slippery.

Entry ticket is around 50 rs per adult. The scene is beautiful from here, the water sliding down with mountains in the backdrop. Visiting season is from Dec-Feb. People would be sliding down the cascade, some would be dancing with music. Jolly atmosphere. There is bamboo chicken stalls just outside the water cascade gate as well. Must visit.

It's a very nice and must visit place to spend around half day during the visit to Araku Valley. Do enjoy the bamboo chicken and corns fry there. One may purchase good local turmeric and ginger too.

Well, Chaparai waterfall was water without fall but flowing water in August month. Local dance was being performed there as celebration was going on for some local festival. Park was ok. One time visit can be planned.

Chaparai water cascade is on eof the major attractions in Araku. It is approx 11km from Araku. The cold and fresh water stream cascade is thrilling, funny water slide. Location is very scenic and picturesque. Best time to visit during November till January, during monsoon the flow will be heavy which will be risky to step in for a slide. Local tribes perform native Dhimsa dance, where we can participate in that, for which they're charging 50/- per head. One can enjoy famous bongulo chicken know as bamboo chicken here.

Nice spot for kids to enjoy! The waterfall is generally safe and fun for children. However, during the rainy season, the water often gets muddy, making it difficult to get in and enjoy properly. Still, overall, it’s a good place to visit with family.

Chaparai water cascade is one of the most visited places near ARAKU. Very near to araku and once we reach the smell of freshly cooked Kababs(చికులు) welcomes you. We were around 60 people sir have ordered around 120 kababs. The feel of enjoying cheekulu with our legs in the flowing water is heavenly.

Very good place for enjoying in water - here interesting thing is some people are make ready the people like tribal (100/-), infront of the cascade I have eat bamboo biryani , it's delicious 😋 hot hot biryani with thumsp now we can eat with two hands 😄

Excited moment for us. They're very friendly. I dressed up which was very affordable 150rs only, maybe if I communicate in the local language then they make it cheaper, but still joyful for us. Also we dance they make us so comfortable, it costs 100rs. Entry fees were 40 rs.

Not so worthy with entry ticket, earlier there is no entry ticket, Bamboo chicken sold outside is not hygiene, not sure what food safety authority check in Tourist places. Unnecessary hype for this hill station.Looting tourists pockets.
