Be aware that you have to buy the entrance ticket to the fort (BRL 10, cash only) in order to get to the café. Great view and nice presentation of food. Service was friendly but waiting 45 mins for food is unacceptable (salmon). Breakfast options are only for 2 persons. If you are alone, the only option they have is toast! Better go to the one next to it. Better menu choices, faster service, same seats and view.

We realized that you actually need to buy the tickets to the military museum in order to get in for a coffee. It’s 6 for each person. The view is worth it but we didn’t expect that. We tried the chocolate cake and coffee w milk. The cake is too sweet to eat. The coffee is mediocre. Definitely overpriced.

luxurious breakfast vibes here! Note: you have to pay 6r to get into the fort, which must be paid in cash at the fort entrance. From there you walk down this cobblestone street along the water toward a bunch of tables and cafes. Colombo was recommended in particular so we went one morning. We got there around 11 on a weekday and they were relatively full so we had to wait a few minutes until we were seated. The views are so beautiful it honestly feels like you’re in a postcard or looking at a movie set. Oh and of course the food: so delicious!!! The bread basket had pao de queijo (cheesy bread balls), fresh warm croissants, toast, and pastries. The cheese and meat were cold and orange juice was freshly squeezed. Three of us split the brunch for 2 and it was more than enough food with bread, yogurt, juice, meat, cheese, granola, and eggs. The servers were patient with us as we wanted to sit together and they were extremely busy. All-in-all, a truly decadent spot that’s perfect for a romantic breakfast or a lush brunch with friends!!!

Great bakery with BEAUTIFUL VIEW of Rio. Me and my wife arrived around 11am and they were super busy, there was a 10min line just for them to take our name down for the waiting list, once we got to the hostess she went on to explain that we would have to scan the QR code to get in the waiting line for a table BUT you would need a Brazilian phone number to receive a text when it’s you’re turn to sit which we don’t have and makes it harder for foreigners, the hostess did help out to find another way and she wrote down my name and said that we would have to stay close for her to call us once a table becomes available, after putting our name down it took about 20-30min for a table to become available, also took another 5-10min for the waiter to come and take our orders but props to him for finding a menu in English for my wife that doesn’t speak Portuguese, after ordering it took about 15-20min to get our food. My wife loved her Mimosa and the cheese tartare, I had the Misto quente and the bread at the tips was hard as a rock, the Pao de queijo and Bomba de chocolate were GREAT ! The plus of this restaurant is the amazing view of Rio, FYI if you arrive AFTER 12pm they are not as busy as 11am !

Very traditional and nice place to spend an afternoon. On Tuesdays, you van go there without paying the entrance to the Fort. Food ia also delicious, but be prepared to wait. Also not possible to make any changes to the menu.

Our experience was lovely! We loved the breakfast and the views. While waiting for our table we explored the Forte de Copacabana and took awesome pictures. No trip to Rio can be complete without having breakfast in the famous and historical confeitaria! Muito obrigado.

Oooow I love it!! It's a must to see place. The one in the Centre of the city was too way busy, so we had our coffee and desert at another place (it was on Friday). We tried Cafeteria Colombo at the Copacabana Forte and it was a pleasure experience with a nice sunset view and delicious food.

I liked the capuccino but there was too much whipping cream. It seems like it's standard as no one asked if I wanted mine as dessert lol. The coconut pineapple cake is delicious and perfect combination for a coffee side. While the chocolate cake was overly sweet!

This place was recommended by a local and we decided to try it out. The location is inside the Fort of Copacabana and overlooks the Rio coast (Copacabana beach). The place has the feel of a slightly old school cafè. The chocolate pie we ordered seemed a bit stale and the coffee was terrible. This confeiteria seems to cater to tourists but the quality expected from a Brazilian cafe seemed lacking

Perfect place for a sweet desert or a great milkshake. The ambient it’s from and old coffeehouse in the 60s. You have to try the Vaca Pretta (Black Cow), a milkshake with vainilla ice cream and Coca-Cola. Amazing

Too pricey and not that good in my opinion. The sightseeing is great, but the food didn't pleased my taste. The little lemon pie was too too sweet and in the chicken coxinha we found a piece of grounded bone and cartilage. Score 1 out of 5 for me, unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations.

Breathtaking views, lovely staff but...our dearest classic waffle with honey & jam was AGAIN very badly executed. Disgraceful waffle, tasteless with a awful jam ! Accompanied by a disastrous cappuccino full of sugar and weak in coffee flavour. Utterly disappointing plus everything highly expensive. You can't get so many mistakes in one place! The CCBB branch is doing much justice to this centenary classic !

Great place to meet with friends and family to enjoy the safety of a military base, which actually doesn't feel like it, and to enjoy the relaxing waves right next to the wall of the fortress. The cappuccino is prepared as it should be.

Historic place, food and pastries were pretty good, a must visit. Long wait to get in.

Overrated. Long time waiting for an average service and a menu that, luckily, will be ok - even though the chef's choices are quite questionable. The good thing is that it has none of the tacky "tourist reception" the venue downtown is remarkably known for.

If you are in Rio this is a must! The food, pastries, and drinks are absolutely fantastic. We loved it so much we had to go back for seconds a few days later.

This Colombo Restaurant is a little-known secret with the best food and view of Copacabana. What a nice way to spend the afternoon.

This is a classic! Try the tea for two people with breads, jam, ham, cheese, cake, and other goodies. The location is safe and beautiful and very safe, inside the Copacabana military base. Just watch the times, as it closes earlyish. The menu translations to English are a bit odd (not to say hilarious) so ask for help when needed! It's quieter and easier to get a nice spot on weekdays, can get crowded on weekends.

The view is great, The food is ok, nothing that special. The service was terrible, it felt that the person was doing us a favor, and that is the reason for my two star ratting. That is the second time we had bad service at this place.
