ENJYOED delicious vegetarian Indian authentic food. Recommended visit as restaurant is continuously maintaining taste and quality. One of the best Indian restaurant in Düsseldorf which deliver proper naan and other Curries.

After a long commute, three of us hungry Indians entered a very Indian place. Being hungry and vegetarian, we ordered three Subzi Biriyanis and quite frankly were disappointed with quite a few things. Firstly, the quantity was dismal and not sufficient to fill up anyone with a normal appetite. In addition, the feel and taste of the 'Biriyani' was closer to that of a Tawa Pulao with too many veggies and no salt. And although the staff were smiling and sweet, they asked us not to drink water from our own bottles which was super irritating. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone Indian.

Delicious spicing and tasty meat. My favorites are everything from grill and Chicken Tikka Masala. Overall a great Indian restaurant. Price range for the main non-vegetarian meal is 13 - 20€. Vegetarian options are available and are cheaper, but I have not tried them out yet. In any case, a great place if you are not too picky design-wise.

I haven’t been to India, so cannot really comment on authenticity - but the food tastes great. Chicken Tikka and grilled meat is delicious. The service is good, the interior is cozy. You also get a nice free starter. Very much recommended!

We had a great time with delicious food at MAHARAJA! My Indian/german coworker recommend me this place as she’s been here before. And I can tell you, it was a hit!! We shared the Karahi Paneer and the Butter chicken. Both was so so good. Also had a sideorder of the Garlic Naan-yummy. Very friendly service as well, I definitely come back 👍🏻

We went there two weeks ago on Diwali and what an amazing time we had! And we loved it so much, my friends and I have been going almost every week since then. This is the best and the most authentic Indian food I have had in Germany till date. The hosts were very welcoming and they went out of their way to make us feel like home. We tried the Tandoori platters, two main dishes and the biryani. I would highly recommend their naan/ Indian breads menu. My personal favourite is the Paneer Kulcha and the butter garlic naan. Another star of the night was the hot, yummy and absolutely delicious Gulaab Jamuns 🤌🏼🤤 For all my fellow Indians in Germany, trust me when I say this, this restaurant is my tiny getaway when I miss home too much. I would a 100% go back and recommend to everyone who likes Indian food to visit this restaurant if they’re ever in Düsseldorf!

Went there based on ratings posted here. Picked up chicken tikka for take away. I would say this place is highly overrated for food taste. The only good thing is their hospitality and seating ambience. If you want to dine somewhere while listening random indian music, this is the place. I preferred rather picking it from there and listen song of my choice at home. Now about the food... Food portion is okay for the price but quality is no where near to Indian taste. May be I expected too much here in Germany but I did not like the taste of chicken tikka masala. Rice was also not well cooked. The chicken tikka was fool of tomato gravy and spices were no where near to chicken tikka. I mean it literally tasted like they have dipped chicken in tomato gravy and put it on stove. They may have put things to adapt German taste buds but I would not call that curry as chicken tikka, at least not the Indian one.

The food was amazing as well as freshly cooked at the same time. I loved this place.

The chicken biriyani was a letdown. I don't know if the kashmiri type of biriyani tastes like that. The garlic butter naan, shahi paneer and chilli chicken were nice. The interior is chic giving classy vibes with a bar counter. Also suitable for dates. The WC is spacious, clean and the best I've found in Indian restaurants in Düsseldorf. Satisfied with the service as well.

The Chicken Tikka masala was good, though not spicy for Indian taste buds but it was good. Keema naan was also good, so was the mango Lassi. Only setback was the chicken pakoda, with a soft chickpea flour covering, which doesn't make sense. Atleast I haven't had this variety of chicken pakoda (they are always suppose to be crispy), so, not worth trying. Ambience is good, polite staff. Quantity is good for the chicken dish. I might visit again to try their other dishes.

The service was good. Place was neat. Quantity of food was adequate. However, the food was made too spicy/hot. Was sweating the whole time, even after restaurant tried to add cream to reduce the spicyness. Do not ask for Indian spicy option when you order, keep it to medium spicy.

Maharaja was recommended by an indian friend and luckily I followed the advise! Absolutely awesome. Really, instead of using the 100 different delivery or take away restaurants, go to Maharaja!

I were there twice in this restaurant for Veg dishes, taste was not good infact the dish name alone differs the taste remains same. Gobi Pakora, Aloo Mutter, Aloo Gobi were the dishes tried.. Pieces were too big Potato as well as Gobi.. Gobi was cooked.. My review is based on above Veg dishes

Hygiene of the Kitchen is C- Standards. Please be aware, they dont use Gloves and the veg and non veg is not well separated. The sights, I had to witness They need inspection from German Authorities. Wait is excessive

Worst Indian restaurant that I have visited in Europe . They should not call the dish as Briyani instead they can call it as pulav or sambhar rice. chicken was over cooked , staffs were always starring with tough face. We sat inside the restaurant and still there are lot of flies rounding us . Hair in the dish , omg miserable experience.
