You can literally taste the quality. Very delicious and the food was exceptionally fast ready. It’s a nice thing to know, when your girlfriend is hungry!

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants. All their dishes are delicious and visually appealing. The service is superb. The waitresses are attentive and friendly unlike other restaurants here in Germany. The ambience is cozy and warm. It doesn't feel crowded even though it is full.

Absolutely had the best sushi I ever had in another country. Ambiance was okay, nothing special. Service was very good! We actually hadn’t been able to book a table in advance because they didn’t pick up the phone, but once I got there they had a table for us ready and we could be seated. Overall great experience

This restaurant serves mini portions at full portion prices (note the size of that cake relative to the fork in the picture below). And this isn't one of those artful places that delivers lots of flavor in small packages, either. The little food we did receive was utterly bland and instantly forgettable. Unfortunately, the miserable food was also paired with abysmal service. Ever been ignored by (multiple!) waiters in an otherwise empty restaurant? I have. And when I did manage to flag someone down, the simplest things took excruciatingly long. Look elsewhere.

Great place to try Japanese entrees. Sushi was extremely good, tempura salmon and prawns both nicely done. Great experience with service as well. Definitely recommended for late night eating in Düsseldorf.

Fried chicken, chicken nanban, sumi roll, tekka roll and tsukune were all delicious! Among them, the beef tongue was really delicious, and it was one of the softest beef tongues you can eat in Japan. Less quantity. The price is also a little higher. But it tastes good!

Enjoyed this place. Visited as part of a work trip. Veggie roll was vegan friendly and delicious. Sadly no other options but to be expected in a traditional sushi place. Staff were very friendly.

Spontaneous booking for 7 people, very accommodating service, managed to try what we wanted, everything tasted very well, was very well served and nicely presented. Great combo between solid Japanese kitchen, but still relaxed and not over-hyped atmosphere. Great choice outside of "Little Tokyo"!

I got food poisoning from sashimi. The quality of food is not great.

Popular, nice Japanese BBQ & Home cooking. We had excellent, light tempura, perfectly done with very good quality of the fish and seafood. The grilled salmon was done nicely as well. Appetizer and cold tofu were delicious and appeared very 'original'. The service was genuinely friendly and warm hearted. The only setback was the sashimi moriavase. For 21.80 EUR 12 pcs of below standard tuna, salmon and clam were disappointing. Especially the tuna was on sushi fire level at best. Anyway I would go again, but focus on the BBQ and tempura dishes.

I went to this restaurant more than 3 times so far, Love their food each time. Their food always has the highest quality. The staff is always so respectful and attentive. Definitely recommend this place.

An excellent sushi and Japanese food choice located in a quiet street in Pempelfort. Dishes are fresh and the sushi was delicious. The salmon used was fresh which was evident in the flavor. Tried the gyoza and spring roll which were both excellent. Would highly recommend the gyoza which was perfectly prepared.

Finally tried Sumi this past weekend after living around the corner from it for three years... It always looked super popular then. Takeaway was fast for a sashimi set and three or four fancy rolls we just wolfed down. All were delicious and beautiful even in the takeout box. Not sure about exact cost of our order because I waited outside, but prices listed outside look fine. Location is good -- quiet yet next to the large residential park.
