I was also during Christmas and the place is even more beautiful. Many Christmas Markets with food and smells that delight you. The promenade is also connected to Düsseldorf city center. You can get here on foot or by tram or bus from the main station for example.

The city has some different spots of the view from the modern architecture as well as the old part besides the unique Japanese quarter Little Tokyo and Germany's most famous shopping miles Kö.

Here we are for Sunday brunch on the ship "Rhein - Galaxie". A really recommended trip for the whole family. Duration approx. 3 hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adults €42, children up to 13 years €19. A welcome glass of sparkling wine or orange juice. Coffee open end. The breakfast buffet is manageable but very good. There is something for everyone...sausage, cheese, sweets, eggs. Rolls, bread...as I said, manageable but nothing was missing. Afterwards you can make yourself comfortable on the upper deck and enjoy the journey on the Rhine. Afterwards there is a lunch buffet. It was also very tasty...I had it a great roast pork...that melted in your mouth...great. It's important to note...if you make the mistake like I did, and you eat too much at breakfast...then you won't get anything in at lunch. That's why I had to pass on the delicious dessert... Lots of fruit or tiramisu and other goodies. The fun ends around 1 p.m. A really great and recommended family trip at reasonable prices... lots of fun.
